No package at home for me today. Hmmmm maybe they did not send me one.

Did you get a site message telling you one had been sent (and an earlier one asking you to check your shipping address)? If not you would not have been included, as far as I know.

checking my email to see if I got anything like that.

edit: not seeing anything, guess I am not getting one.

I found a frozen earwig in my mailbox...
I'm not sure if DAZ sent it to me, or he just died in there and it took until now to find him...
But, if DAZ did send him to me, it's a very convincing portrayal of a real earwig...
    So... Um...
Thanks for the frozen earwig DAZ!
I'm still not sure what to do with him, but he's on top of my computer for now.
If anyone is interested in purchasing a limited edition super realistic 3D printed (or not) 1:1 scale, semi frozen earwig...
I'd be willing to part with him for the right price (pretty much anything if you pay the shipping).
It's a rare opportunity... Jump on it before it's gone.

EDITED TO ADD- Never mind, its gone... Or rather he is gone... Do earwigs hibernate?

    Lordvicore,

Congratulations on your rescue and adoption of a slightly frost bitten but otherwise healthy earwig. I do hope, though, that placing said earwig atop your computer hasn't caused the infection of your computer with a bug.

    Best regards.

Not an email, a site message - one of the ones that appears across the top of the screen in the store.

...just checked, don't see anything. Ah well, after all did get the Mike 6 10$ offer and free Vicky 6 "virtual" figure so can't complain.

No earwigs either (they'd just become spider food at my place anyway)

    Wouldn't mind a 3D Noggin's Flutterby though.

I just got a box today with a nice big Daz3D Printing sticker on the box. Opened her up and she is in one piece and now sitting on top of my brand new computer optimized for my 3D art. I had her facing me, but my boys took objection to her guns pointing at them so now I have a side view. :P

    Thanks Daz!!!

Yes they hibernate. And in one's yard there might be "ants" OR "earwigs" ... they don't seem to like sharing turf with each other.
And ... in every nest of wigs there is ONE white one.
And there could be a nest at every corner and niche of the buildings in the ground, they possibly like either the warmth from the building or just the security of having a good wall. Didn't count them but they seem to have hundreds of thousands of them, well, hundreds anyway, in each nest.

I got mine a few days ago. Unfortunately the stand has a broken piece. I was hoping they would replace it but they suggested I glue it. It was free but I am genuinely disappointed that it was broken. I have easily spend thousands at the store and I was really frustrated with the store before it was redesigned because it allowed duplicates to be purchased. It took a while for me to sort out the money I wasted on duplicate purchases. /cry

This was a limited run figure, only 1,000 were printed, and I'm sure DAZ sent each and every one of them out. Besides, a little superglue is all it takes to fix things.

This is true. Being a limited edition DAZ presumably couldn't replace it. However, while it is a non-issue for me because my figurine arrived intact, I will point out that not everybody could repair it. I for one am no longer steady enough to hold the pieces in the proper position while gluing.

So I am very hesitant to purchase any of the figurines. They are listed as non-returnable. So what would happen if it arrived broken? Would I just be out of luck and stuck with a broken figurine?

Besides, in the collector world a figurine that has been repaired (even expertly) does not have the value of one with no damage.

That said, I want to give DAZ a big thank you for sending me the statue. I really appreciate it.

    Charlie

I spend thousands too and I didn't get one. If you like you can ship it to me and I will pay for shipping. I have glue.

A different question: if they printed the V6 figurine, why can't you just buy it now? I mean, I have no use for very genre-specific Lee, Mei Lin or Keiko.

Thank you Momster for another photograph of the print, and a large photo to!

Anyone have a closeup of the figure's face? ;-) Curious to see how all the facial detail held up. Thank you again.

It's looking like a pretty good print when I compare it to what I've seen in the way of color output from various types of 3D printers and 3D print service bureaus.

Is there a chance of her appearing in the shop again? I will surely not buy Keiko, Lee or Mei Lin figurine, but V6... That one...

Limited edition means just that, one print run and then no more. It is not such an unusual thing to happen. I have, tucked away safely, a limited edition Model dragon kit by Ral Partha. It is now worth at least double what it cost when it was current on the market, simply because there were only so many made.

Finally got mine in the post. I have to admit, it's a lot bigger than I had expected it to be! It arrived completely undamaged as well.

I've said a lot of thank you's already, but thanks Daz. You made my morning!

Don`t worry SimonJM. I live in Germany and mine hasn`t arrived, too.
I think they didn`t send it by Airmail because it is to expensive... and by ship it would take a long time.

Oh, I'm not worried, just a little curious! Um, that is I am curious about how/when it will arrive and ... k, yes, I AM also just curious, if not plain weird ... ! ;)

I, too, expected them to be dispatched by ship (why else would they need to be watertight? ;)) but someone in Scotland says he hs his, so who knows?

And, of course, regardless of what happens: it arrives, it arrives slightly damaged, it arrives in more pieces than you can shake a glue stick at or it does not appear at all ... the fact I was picked as 1 of a 1,000 to be a recipient and have a gift sent my way, that is the important thing; it is the thought that counts.
