In the interest of explaining - what you're waiting for is a fundamental change in how the store works.  To be clear and to manage expectations, I can't see this being changed immediately, as the dev team have other projects they are working on.

As I understand it, the store is coded to preemptively apply the PC+ discount to items in the cart, when accompanied by a membership.  This now needs to also be adjusted to allow PC+ exclusive items to also be able to be added, with a membership in the cart. I've already put a request in, but as I say, I'd be surprised if this is rolled out before the set is off sale.

fair enough, but why is the 10% discount on BLENDER ANNIVERSARY not working either?

It'sd a New item. The link in the emssage about the offer doesn't exclude them (which we have now pointed out to Daz) but the offer does exclude them.

That can happen. But it happens too often with DAZ. A decent merchant should admit its his/her fault and grant the discount regardless.

Not sure about online rules, but if you walk into a store (brick and mortar), they'd have to honor what was advertised. Maybe the Better Business Bureau can help out with this ... this kind of thing is exactly why I didn't want to renew my membership: non-transpareny and gottchas.  It is exactly what I had predicted. That is not going to happen to me a second time. I am not amused.

However, the terms did say new releases were excluded. I agree the link should have filtered out new items, but the information was there in the message.

So instead of people just being able to rely on what looks obvious, this is a case of customers having to read the small print like in phrama and car adverts?? Is that where we are now?

Pharma is one of the most regulated industries worldwide. Including any(!) ads or promos. For a reason. So it does not really compare to Daz business. If you have this type of ads in pharma, you will have the FDA on your heels in no time, believe me. And the CEO behind bars short after.

you are starting a new thread .... you didn't get my point about the small print .... cause it was about that, not who is or isn't regulated, or how much somebody is regulated, or any comparison of that kind ... in order to pass, I'd have to give you extra credit assignments in my logic and rhetoric classes =)

I had a look after rendering had finished and it is indeed the light geometry which is hidden in the viewport but not in the render!

...so the question is, how long did it take to render all that, particularly the earlier part with all those characters moving around?

the one with all the people is Twinmotion which is built using Unreal Engine 4 so fairly fast but took about 6 hours I think (I was asleep)

the iray ones took the longest by far and are the shortest (look for black spheres)

Apparently, I can get this at a significant discount now,

To those who picked it up earlier, or even right now, I have a couple of questions. Are only the decals difficult/tedious to remove? Are the props, walls, etc. UV mapped in a way that they take shaders well?
