According to Daz support, a product with bad files structure, such as Clara 8.1, having a CJ 8 folder in its Smart Content, is perfectly fine, because the same error is in the documentation, meaning the PA did it intentionally and nothing can be done about it.

Dear Daz, do you even have any quality control at all?

Edit: Just to make it better - it is a Daz Originals product.

That makes no sense. Daz assigns metadata, not PAs. I'd be dissatisfied with that response, too.

Agree with that. The metadata is wrong, not the product's folder names. The ReadMe file list has nothing "CJ 8". I suspect CJ comes right before Clara alphabetically in whatever list was used.

Actually, the CJ 8 folder appears in the documentation. It does not add any sense to it, though.

It is in the Categories section, which comes from the metadata.

My apologies, I am not well versed in the terminology, I am afraid.

No problem, it can all be confusing sometimes. The real file list is linked from the "Additional Details" section. Even that can be wrong sometimes, if it was generated from a different revision of the package. Best to look in the actual zip file to see what's what, when in doubt.

  • Buy now, Save Later sale makes no sence to me.

ad copy says Get up to 37% OFF ‘Build-Up’ New Releases

click link and it takes you to the details that CLEARLY state that the maximum discount of 12% at 3% per qualifying day.  Well, where is the up to 37% OFF then?  but I'm still playing along.

so there are 7 qualifying new releases today.  you have to purchase 2+ to get to the qualifiying $25 single transaction to kick off the 3% daily savings.  yet if you put most of the 7 new releases in your cart that kicks the buy 2+ and get 10% savings so the 2 products don't get you to $25 qualifying buildup 3% daily savings.  UGH.  okay I'm still playing along. so you have to put 2 of the news releases that with discounts total over $25 to kick in the savings 3% daily.  I don't want any of these new releases.  UGH.  okay I'm still playing along.

so this boils down to pay $100, $25 each day fro things I don't want to get a credit savings which MIGHT be up to 12% off to be used next week on items we know nothing about.  last 2 times this particular sale was run the credit couldn't stack, wouldn't apply and when it did it was only for some new bundle .  cart dumped.

read fine print, oh the up to 12% cant be used on ........basically anything and exclused Flipped Normal tuts.  ooooooakkkkk. why Iam I shoping here again?

Where is the up to 37% off again?

'Build up' new releases are at 30%off and if you buy two you get an extra 10%off.

So if you buy a 'build-up' new relase initially at $10, it will cost $7

If you buy 2, the cost will be reduced by 10% $7*0.9=$6.3 = $10 -37%off%off.

Hence th eorigin of the 37%off. It is absolutely not related to the (underwhelming) stacking 3% reduction. And the qualifying $25 threshold can be reached with anykind of purchase, not only new releases..

You are muddling discounts - buying two or more of today's new gets those for 37% off. Spending $25+ over the next four days earns a 12% discount next week, for non-new, non-PC etc. items. $100 would be equal to 12% of $833.33 - but that assumed you didn't actually want any of the items you bought to earn the diuscount, which would be a silly way to shop.

    From the sale page:

"1. Earn an EXTRA 3% OFF*next week when you spend over $25 in a single transaction."

  • So the single transactions I did today don't even count.  $20.70 and$23 something.  Nice. Spend $40nsomething and don't even qualify.

  • Well I did spend > $25 on Tuesday. But definitely not for the extra 12% next week. That offer is a shame.
Post would get deleted if I would write what I think about this offer.

I'm noticing more and more flash sales that start at insane hours. Just yesterday: 1 in the morning for European folks, and another at 5 in the morning.

Surely there is a time that's more suitable for both the European and the American customers...

  • cherpenbeckcherpenbeck Posts: 1,413

This built-up sale is absolutely no incentive.

The DAZ+ product Tropical Beach is only at 52%, or $18.59, is this correct?

It is.. it's a Daz+ exclusive, like the other Dekogon items released recently.

I'm 100% with you on this. I really hate those Daz FOMO campaigns, especially that they're always US oriented. My usual day starts with checking what I missed because I was sleeping instead of staring at Daz shop. Honestly this whole concept is very strange to me, it's something I would expect from a mobile game with microtransactions or TV shopping channel. CLICK NOW! CALL NOW! YOU CAN'T MISS IT! Defintely not something I would expect from a serious company that treats customers seriously.

Some errors with the newsletter: (Explore Distant Lands)

    This takes to Tropical Beach...

There is no Springs Flowers freebie this week, it costs $4.99

So to sum it up: plz trigger Springs Flowers freebie for those who are not already owning it or if it's Tropical Beach change the price accordingly.

A question about the stacking discount.

    1. Earn an EXTRA 3% OFF* next week when you spend over $25 in a single transaction.

    2. Level up your discount with another 3% OFF*, once per day, with every qualifying purchase over $25 (up to a maximum of 12% OFF over 4 days).

What is not clear to me, is wether gift cards count as "qualifying purchase" and it is not precised.

Does a $25 gift card is qualifying? Does a purchase with a $15 asset + a $10 gift card is qualifying?

This would be a good thing if daz can give an answer to that (and preferably adds these precisions to the announce).

Indeed, pretty much all flash sales lately start around midnight or after for me. Haven't really bought anything from the ones I managed to catch either, too late to browse them proroperly.

I'm 99% sure it shouldn't be Springs Flowers, I have it too.

The newsletter(Explore Distant Lands) arrived today so it should be a different freebie, that's why I'm asking DAZ to have a look into it. The thing that the link points to a DAZ product which has "unusual" price is just icing the cake and gives some hope.

ps: Pretty high chance that the link should point to https://www.daz3d.com/sleep-under-the-stars ; and both the linking and the picture was messed up on DAZ side.

Are the featured artist stores supposed to be 40% off, as indicated in the banner page today? Only a few items in some stores seem discounted. Some seem not at all.
