https://www.daz3d.com/the-knight-series -> This is suppose to be a weekly release, any reason why nothing is available today, is it another case of bad advertising?
Maybe it will be over the weekend.
Ok, not very predictable but lets see.
It seems that Daz has been doing their best to deter me from spending my money here over the last few months with the bundles which include old items, or multiple budles including a new DO figure, coupon requirements for many deals whcih thwart use of PC+ coupons, and just don't get me started on the NFT nonsense. The 'improved' store last year, which fixed nothing...
Now, they have surpassed (well, really whatever the exact opposite of that word is) themselves with this latest store/product presentation redesign. Thank you for making the UI more difficult to read, need to expand + signs to see description etcetera.
Today, I just could not be bothered to look after trying the first couiple of products. I will definitely not be renewing my PC+ membership if this is the status when that expires.
Will probably do the same. Finally discovered the 70% Cyborgs to use my 18/6 monthy coupon. Only to find the small print excluding this offer from combination with other discounts. Boy, there is already a smart print on that coupon limiting usage to certain products. Fast grab is generally excluded from coupon usage. No need to also exclude the best deal of the day as well. But fine, was not expecting it but it seems I will carry over my complete store credit to March.
What's this all about? They are free, but if I place them in cart they are not...
It is most likely a product no longer available. What happens if you go directly to the product page?
WOW that would be hell of a purge of products. Have they got rid of a lot of PA's recently, or have that many actually quit?
KindredArts voluntarily withdrew the Ghost Light products until they can be patched to work in the current versions of DS. At least a few of the other products are ancient and have most likely been vaulted. One or two of them are shader products from Censored, whose products keep vanishing from the store for undisclosed reasons.
Products that are retired do not mean a PA leaves. Products can become old, outdated. A PA may decide it was an early work and not up to their present standards b/c of craftsmanship or newer techniques, software enhancements, etc. of which the PA can now take advantage and incorporate into their work. There may also be technical or other issues as well.
Yeah. But it would be really nice to know SOMETHING insteat of just getting an OOOPs-page without any explanation. Like: Sorry, but this product is no longer available, oder Sorry for your inconvenience, but you will have to wait, product is in repair/update-mode.
There is a request in for some kind of notice.
But is it in the Sometime during the Life of the Planet list or is it in the Daz Soon list

The #1 reason I use my Daz+ coupons just on my wishlist items: wishlist price doesn't include some non-stacking code or convoluted promo (that probably doesn't interest me).
When possible, I use the monthly coupons on items that are by Featured Artists or part of a straight "buy 1 for X% off/2 for Y% off" category sale. Thankfully, Daz+ coupons still work with those 2 discount types. For now.
I had W/L item recently turn up on Fast Grab. My DAZ+ coupons are sadly still both intact...
I will know almost as soon as you do. ;)

Thank you.
Is this product got discounted correctly? I thought it would be at 51% discount like other new Daz Original Product?
https://www.daz3d.com/the-knight-series-03-for-genesis-8-males
Currently it's only 44% discounted.
Thanks.
Oh then it's weird, because I can see a lot of Daz Original items are still 51% off, not 44%. In fact I bought all the previous "knight series" items at 51% off, only this item is at 44% off.
I've attached a screenshot where you can see all Daz Original new release items are 51% off right now, except this Knight Series 03.
The new 20% discount hasn't been every day, which just makes it stranger.
This is correct. Some product have rolled out at 20%, and that plus the 30% off for PC members makes a total discount of 44% (80% of 70% of base price).
When things like the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials show up in DIM with an update, it would be nice to why.
I had to laugh today when I saw the orange banner, and tag line saying monumental sales,
Only to find that (up to) 90% off was not for the things I'd want but for seemingly very very old releases, and the stuff in my wishlist is on sale basically for less than it was the other day/ordinary sales.
I bought a lot of wishlisted items at prices cheaper than my sweet spot. I'm quite happy with today's sale.
The PA discounts -- if you planned to buy some new items anyway -- are reasonably generous. As to the 'very very old releases', it's been a pattern in recent sales that whenever the splash image says "... up to X% off" (where 'X' is some large number), the largest discounts are reserved for the very oldest items, and the discounts get progressively smaller the newer the items. I'm as disappointed as the next person when I find that the seemingly awesome deal isn't quite so awesome on closer inspection, but I do have to admit that DAZ has been fairly consistent about this lately.
One thing that does tweak me, though, is the use of the orange banner to promote a sale that's already announced on the main page. The pattern in the past was always that the orange banner was used to announce some discount or special offer that was specific to you. Lately, though, DAZ has started to use it more and more just to direct our attention to something that's already splashed all over the shop page, with no additional discounts or special relevance to an individual user.
There's nothing to say that they can't do this, of course, but it feels a little as if some implicit contract is being broken. Instead of being "Hey! Special good news!" the orange banner is becoming an annoyance, one more thing you have to click on to recover some screen space.
The Spartech Missile Launcher, released just a few days ago, has apparently dropped from the store: https://www.daz3d.com/spartech-missile-launcher goes to an "Ooops!" page.
Maybe someone could report this to DAZ, just in case it's not intentional?
I'm afraid it is intentional, at least for now.
Any info as to why?
