This - would really be nice if Daz could show the actual price on their store page rather than something that is far from accurate.
Now they're showing in the store with no intro discount. Going in the wrong direction...
For example Paper and Writing Shaders for Iray and Geometric Tile Iray Shaders Vol 2 each went from $2.79 to $3.99.![angry angry](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/angry_smile.png)
It looks like they may have lost their intro discount. Please fix.
Did the guy who formerly prepared the site for publishing get his job back?
Still not fixed ! I guess I won't be buying much DAZ+ stuff anymore.
Seriously, how long does it take to correct what has worked for months, if not years?
The problem is these overly complicated promotions. From today's;
Buy any 1 ‘Fashion Icon’ New Release to get:
50% OFF* these Items AND an EXTRA 10% OFF¥* Featured Artist Stores
Buy any 2 ‘Fashion Icon’ New Releases to get:
55% OFF* these Items, an EXTRA 20% OFF¥* Featured Artist Stores,
AND 5% OFF* a Gift Card
Buy any 3+ ‘Fashion Icon’ New Releases to get:
65% OFF* these Items, an EXTRA 30% OFF¥* Featured Artist Stores,
AND 10% OFF* a Gift Card
[Must not forget look at the bottom of the page to see what the asterisks and Yen symbols mean, too!]
When I see something like this, I just scroll on by. I have better things to do than waste my time to figure out this mess just to buy an item for a hobby...
Complicated deals or not, they do not affect the new items' 2-week intro discount, since they are always excluded from any additional deductions. Of course, that hasn't stopped them from flip-flopping around with 20% or 30%, or, now, I see 25% on some, or changing the intro discount from 20% to 30% or from 30% to 20%. Someone needs to get their act together.
Complicated deals require effort on the staff's part in futzing around with the pricing structure, which can lead to errors...
The prices are correct, as far as we know.
Now wouldn't it have been nice to have some pre-announcement of this? I attach a screenshot from when PC became PC+ back in 2014 . They used to make promises then:
I don't recall the Daz+ announcement saying this was going to change?
Every other product released in the last two weeks still has an introductory discount of some kind. Why do the DAZ+ not have any? Is that correct?
Well, it's back, but only 20% or 25%. It was 30% for a while, although it did start at 20%. Wasn't going to get it then, either...
Sorry, the Daz+ items were missed when I was checking that the prices were correct.
Where is this? I don't see it on the Daz+ landing page.
No, like my post said (first line) it's a screenshot from 2014 when "PC" became "PC+". This promise of 30% intro discount for 2 weeks has stood until earlier this year. Now we get 30% sometimes, 25% sometimes, 20% sometimes, who can tell. To my knowledge there has never been any official statement that the promise was going away (not even in the "Daz+" announcement thread).
ETA: Though that Daz+ announcement thread did have the ominous phrase:
What Else Is Changing?
That’s it… for now
The DO discount has always been 30%, it's the introductory discount that waffles around 20%-25%-30% , and it seems to change on some items from one week to the next with little or no consistency.
I was just coming in to say that https://www.daz3d.com/fma-over-the-sea-hdris-and-skyspheres has dropped to 25%. I had it in my cart planning to pick it up today with my PC+ stuff. If it doesn't go back to 30% I'll wishlist it - sorry FM, but I don't like they way Daz is messing with discounts just now and am not playing their games.
DAZ+ items losing their intoduction discount is just one point more for not renewing my DAZ+ membership.
Which also means I will buy less.
Is that the intention of DAZ management?
You there at DAZ really should target indie game developers more, meaning yes all your products should have an Interactive License option and either you lower the price of the license a lot or have it more times during the year discounted down to $5 to $10.
Everything I bought here on DAZ is only for making games as and indie developer in either Unreal Engine or Unity 3D Engines. I limited my purchase of Interactive License option when it was at the lowest price to the packages I needed the most at first but if the price was fixed at $5, $8 or $10 everytime instead of $35 and $50 full price then I would have bought it for hundreds of products even those that I wouldn't use immediately in any project. Obviously unless it is something really urgent I won't add an Interactive License option unless it is at the maximum discount.
If you pushed the Interactive License option more with more discounts there would be way more developers like me buying assets here. You are just missing more customers money with less discounts and no license at all on some products.
Maybe the Vendor doesn't want their item used in games?
A shop can always change its rules to force vendors to agree to. All digital online shops do that and forcing vendors to sell to a wider audience meaning making more money to both the shop and the vendor surely wouldn't be worst thing any company ever did. Apple continously changes its rules for the App Store developers mainly restricting what is allowed access to API wise. Look at Unity and Unreal Engine online shops, there obviously vendors have to agree to the rules and it is a perpetual unrestricted license for indie developers (Unity has some restrictions more than Epic Games in its EULA but nothing stopping indie developers to buy many assets at relatively cheap prices).
CGTrader and Turbosquid have royalty free unrestricred licenses for their models. There prices range from very cheap to very expensive indeed. But most models need tweaking anyway for proper use in 3D game engines, something way different than either Unity, Unreal Engine online shops or DAZ that offer more or less ready to use assets.
The discount on Turbo Loader for Genesis 3 dropped, and it just came out on Saturday, so it only had the full new discount for four days.
Is there any way we can get info on when discounts will change? These discounts going up and down without logic or at least warning on the timing is seriously frustrating. For example, how long at full new 30% discount? 25%? 20%?
Please have some consideration for the customers.
Daz, you are making it so much easier for me to choose not to buy things.
New flash sale goes to an Oops page: https://www.daz3d.com/great-flash-saving
Try https://www.daz3d.com/great-flash-savings
It looks as if the correct URL is:
https://www.daz3d.com/great-flash-savings
The final 's' got dropped.
Nothing in my wishlist - figures LOL
That explains the broken link. As for me, a few wishlist items made that cut, so I guess I can clear a few entries off it.
