That is one of the defaults, up to the My Library folder. I'm not sure, though, if it is used at all in a Daz Central install (I'd expect it to be there unless changed, since it isn't the default for Daz-installed content by any method so not relevant to the installer used). However, this is stuff you need to work out if you are writing a plug-in as not everyone will use the default paths.

wouldnt there be a way to show paths of said plugin...man this is just way past my brain cells..I can get it to work and I can compile problems....is it really worth it...been a 5 year problem and here I am trying to figure out why again...
It freakin works on this computer that is a 1.0ghz 4 gig ram we use to connect and read emails...On my beast it doesnt work I have a 16 gig ram amd 3.4 a 1660 6 gig GPU it is not working ....frack me...
So because my main drive a terra bite has had many and I mean many installs of windows I need to just format the drive to get rid of everything...better to start out fresh once again...

Which is not working, the plug-in itself or getting it to the right place? If the plug-in, what is its statuse shown as when you select it in Help>About Installed Plug-ins.

I am looking for the default location of DS in Documents...on my beast there is no documents no kidding here I have 5 installs in history or windows...so done this shouldnt be this frackin hard and why in applications...?
so easy it shouldnt be this hard...it is missing the textures...on this machine that never has had DS installed it was no problem on the drag and drop plugin...on my beast it cant find, the texture which always go into the studio folder in documents which is no longer there...
The textures should be in the correct relative path (/runtime/textures/whatever/) in any one of the Daz Studio Format content directories, assuming you are using the Content Manager to load them (it wil take care of figuring out exactly which content directory they are in).
I am also having this problem. I have 2 external hard drives I use with my new PC. I had to reinstall DAZ because CMS wouldn't update. Coming here for help I was pointed to the Application Data folder on my C: drive [originally installed DAZ to C:, which is my SSD].
The Application Data folder somehow had a baby Application Data folder. So it was a Windows 11 problem. I found some really old references to this nested Application Data problem. One solution was to rename then delete the extra one. I tried, then the extra folder had a baby that was a link to Application Data and all the files and folders were in it. Huh?? So, I had to reinstall Win 11. Pain, pain, pain. I have been reinstalling programs that were on C: for days.
Today I wanted to start DAZ and play with some shiny new items. I went into IM [mind you, I used it only yesterday to install ALL my content on D:\DAZ Library] and installed all my new content. I noticed it wanted to reinstall DAZ. Oops. Why?? I have NOT changed my install directory.
So I went and started DAZ and it hung on the starting screen, the same CMS issue.
Ok, so reinstalling DAZ is inevitable, I get it. I go to DAZ Central and my paths are messed up. I put my install path as D:\Program Files and my content directory is D:\DAZ Library. Since I have a ton of content, I keep all the 3rd party stuff out of my DAZ Library so I have that as D:\3D\3rd Party but I will put that in DAZ when I an get it to run.
Everything DAZ, my Carrara 8.1 trial, my Hexagon, my Bryce 7.5, all are installed in D:\Program Files
As I understand it, Program Data and its wayward child Application Data are not directories for installation of any program, just for settings.
So, I am confused as to why DAZ IM AND DAZ Central decided to change the directories I put in to Application Data.
My D: removable drive is just a data drive without an operating system installed, it's just formatted NTFS for Windows, nothing unusual about it.
And, I just tried to reinstall DAZ and got the same stuck on CMS problem.
From reading here, I will go change my program files path back to D:\Program Files and I will add to my post. Wish me luck!
I uninstalled DAZ and reinstalled - twice - using IM. The screenshot shows NO FILES. I am really getting frustrated. The second time, I had it download DAZ Studio 4.15 64-bit. This time I did not check the Install After Download box. I installed it. The install took way less time than expected. Then I took a look at the log file. Blank. When I tried to inspect the installed files, well, you can see the screenshot.
I will try a full manual install and see if that can complete.
I decided to uninstall everything DAZ and reinstall DAZ Central, which now has an icon again :D So, I tried the reinstall from DC after fixing the paths again. And, again, I am stuck on this screen. [Frustrated screams of angst deleted.]

this is so stupid..I can tell my plugin what to do and DAZ still says nope...totally recompiled in the newest relese of the SDK
What has changed...?
Is the issue getting the plug in to run at all, or getting it to find its data? You are not explaining the situation clearly.

internet computer plugin runs great cant render but it works....on my beast doesnt work at all...throws error message that it cant find textures...

ok even in dim look at the paths...3D application...Same in Central same in DIM...Ok this is not hardcoded thru my plugin it is something thru DAZ....

Ok, here are screenshots of how I found IM and the changes I made to it.
