...true Asiago is not much of a slicing cheese as it is drier, more like Parmesan, and usually comes in wheels instead of bricks or chubs (unless it is commercially over processed).

Guess I never had true asiago cheese.

I am thinking of asking T-Mobile to change my number.

I labeled that number as a scam artist and have it sent directly to voicemail. I was distracted this morning but now I am not. I think my bettas would give me more than a scam artist. I feel bitter towards scam artists.

...as you should be. They are predators of the worst kind usually contacting people they feel are vulnerable. Most often it is the elderly (which I am approaching) but young singles are targeted as well. They either just want to make a fast buck or steal personal information and don't care if you are well off or poor.

I prefer to pet a tarantula or kiss a roach than deal with scam artists. I have some phobia against things with too many legs.

...maybe not a bad option (the number change). Does your provider offer any call/number blocking utilities?

I have a simple minutes plan on a recharge card and I can block numbers/calls.

...Asiago is my pasta cheese of choice. No where near as expensive as imported Parmigiano-Reggiano (which is 18 - 23$ per pound where I live) but just as tasty..

Won't buy the flavourless powdered "dandruff" stuff that comes in a can and most pre-shredded Parmesan has usually lost most of it's best flavour quality sitting for weeks in a plastic tub or bag in the dairy case. Also, many of the big name brand shredded/grated cheeses contain wood pulp presumably to keep the cheese from clumping.

I always purchase any hard grating/shredding cheese in block form and shred it myself.

Wow,that imported stuff is expensive! :bug: Ouch!

I only used the canned stuff when I had just moved out.. my first gf trained me out of it (lol)! I'm a block cheese fanatic now, my cheese shredder travels with me everywhere. :)

I've tried 2 local pizza places and neither was as good as my local Pizza Hut. :blank: The Pizza Hut here is pretty upscale, my meatball pizza came with a drizzle of Balsamic sauce and a toasted cheddar crust. :bug: :bug:

    Stuffed now.. nap time!

...ahh, you have to find a job here In Portland. Several good pizza joints here that will make Pizza Hut look like Totino's.

    ...and it's craft beer heaven

Yeah, Portland is actually my #1 target for my next contract, Seattle is #2. I'm re-teaching myself game development slowly but surely, so within a year or so I ought to have a nice demo title I can use in my portfolio.

Tulsa just isn't "home" for me, no offense to anyone but there's damn little culture here compared to even Austin.

...Milwaukee isn't really all that much better. The old running joke is that the town rolled up its streets at 6:00 PM.

Downtown Portland is sort of dead after the nine to fivers go home (save for the Ankeny/Skidmore area near the waterfront and Old Town, the latter which can be dicey), but "Antique Alley/NW Glisan", NW Portland, The Pearl (if you can afford it), SE Hawthorne, SE Division, NE Alberta St, N. Mississippi Ave, and SE/NE 28th where I am are the places to go.

Back in the late 90s we were consulting for Union Electric power company in St. Louis and stayed for several days in a fancy historic downtown hotel. After 6:00 the downtown area died. Poof! Just blowing leaves and homeless cats, and wind whistling through the alleys, type of dead.

When I was doing my around the US and Canada motorcycle adventure back in 1995 I, for some unknown reason, decided to visit Omaha, Nebraska. Coming into downtown around 4:00PM I saw lots of cars leaving for the suburbs but after I arrived at my downtown hotel I swear, there was not a moving car on the streets. After 5:00 the sidewalks rolled up into tight little curls, and the street lights were blown out for the night. 8-/ I tend to believe this is a Midwestern behavior left over from prairie days when the people emulated the prairie dogs and popped into their burrows to spend the night.

However, in Chicago, despite being in the Midwest, I was worried about leaving my motorcycle exposed to the streets. In fact the desk clerk at my downtown hotel asked me if I wanted to bring it inside to keep it safe. I agreed and ended up driving my big motorcycle through the fancy lobby and locked it in a storeroom at the back of the lobby. This was downtown, but needless to say, not the best part of downtown! :-S

This is harder than posting my poetry, I'm letting a child go.

I have nothing but admiration for anyone that can do this all the time.

    I'm not sure I can.

That same year (1995) I visited Australia for 5 weeks. I didn't get to Melbourne, but did spend two weeks in Cairns. Very pleasant little city. Weather & architecture very reminiscent of Melbourne, Florida USA back when I was in college.
