    US only? No problem.

Plus, if my phone is going to be linked to a site, I'd rather it was linked for "security" puposes. wink

If its anything like previous promotions that started on a weekend, there isn't anyone working at Daz today and they'll fix it sometime Monday.

$8.99 is the new "free" at Daz.

It was easy enough to unsub from their text messages, so nothing lost nothing gained.

I'll pass. Don't need more spam on my phone or in my email. I honestly don't need any notifications of any kind, I already visit the store daily.

Also getting 8.99 -- at least I only signed up using a google voice so as not to get spam on my cell.

I have a feeling the SMS promo code will either stop giving any discount or will start working correctly once the 80% off sale ends tonight.

  •  Nope, still not working for me either. I tried it twice... gotta be some kind of a bug. Hopefully it will be fixed before the offer expires.

    Not working here either :(

  • Yeah, $8.99 for me, too.  The flipping heck...?

Well, the offer lasts until the 29th, so hopefully it will get resolved by then.  o0

  • Oh good. I thought it was just me that was having an issue with the free item being $8.99 instead of free.

If/when they fix it, I might get Nix. At least he's interesting.

  • Hey all, I found the issue with the code. It should be working now! Can you try again and let me know if you're able to claim your item?

  • It is working now thanks!

whats free today for a mere purchase of 5 new releases? or your phone number. Wow, I don't give that out to hardly anyone, but it still gets me spam calls constantly. I do know our DMV sells it off. You have to opt out.

I'm old enough to remember when the phone company provided a large book to every home and business in every town that listed everyones' address and phone number in  alphabetical order.

There were even special pages called "Yellow Pages" that were reserved for those whom paid extra for larger ads and occasional graphics to display the information.Usually businesses did this, but some residential customers were vain enough to pay the extra fee for it.

It was called a "Phone Book".

They were updated once per year.

The old books saw many uses because they tended to have hundreds and even thousands of pages making them very thick.

Such as booster seats.Short people put them in the driver seats of their cars so they could reach the pedals and the steering wheels of cars that didn't have adjustable wheels. :)

Fire starter material for those that had wood stoves. We did. I chopped alot of firewood when I was young and I'm only 51 years old.

Twisted into long "matches" to relight gas ovens, furnaces and hot water heater pilot lights.

I guess times have changed and one's phone number is something to covet and protect.

Most modern smart phones, and even some of the dumb ones, will allow the user to block an unwanted caller.

That used to cost money if it was available.

That also reminds me of the "Long Distance" fee one had to pay per minute(or any part there of and always rounded up of course)to call some outside the originating area code.

My phone has a spam filter. I tend not to answer calls I don't recognize and there is a block list. And as mentioned, Daz already has my phone on file along with my address because I pay with credit card. Privacy policy is unlikely to change in a way that is horrible or onerous. So, aside from hoping for a better bribe, I don't see that as a huge problem. Lots of people did the Discord dance to get some free swag. I didn't and don't regret it. It's all optional.

    I didn't either.

I get my fair share of free items from the Daz store as it is.

    I have no complaints.

I need my phone for work as well as personal use.

So I really don't want to spend the time to filter every text message I get to see if it's an important work/home message , or just a new NFT auction.

I use the block list and I'm on the "Do not Call" list.So I receive very little spam.

What I do get from time to time are simpletons using old school robocall technique of  (area code)-prefix-xxxx block spamming in the hope that an idiot will click the link that was sent via SMS to 20 other recipients.

(phone numbers are sold in blocks to phone companies.Replace xxxx with 0000 to get the first number in that block.Add 1 every time you dial until you get to 9999 for the last number in that block)
