Gift card flash sale urgently needed here! The conversion rate euro - dollar is so bad right now, I need a little discount on a gift card to fix it. Have Noa in my cart and waiting, and the poor thing in his skimpy Olympian gear ... might catch a cold if I can't redeem him soon ...

I may do that. It is still the case for me on the August sales items you may have missed page. I haven't seen this before, but if breakout items have caused problems before, perhaps that needs looking at.
Yes, I finally found it on the page. I had searched for the name of the item and it didn't find it cuz it was part of a selection off the sale page.
OK, I nominate todays gift card sale for the worst one of the year. I've spent quite something recently, including yesterday - already without store credit. No more.
You can ask me to spend a certain amout on the gift card to get a certain percentage. You can even ask to get a certain amount in new releases. But stop that "X over X thing". I decide what I buy. In this case: No gift card.
The gift card sale does look like a particularly poor deal this time. Recently mediocre gift card sales have been followed very closely be a much better sale, so hang on and maybe in the next day or two that will happen again.
Also disconcerting is the ever increasing buy-in to get a free item. We started at $5 and it has escalated through $10 and $15 and now up to $25. OK, if you were going to spend $25 anyway, but I don't see any incentive to add more to the cart to reach that magic $25. The items I looked at in the "free" list recently sold for less than $3, so that is what I consider their value to be.
And the $10 "free" off full price items is another bad deal in many cases. Most Daz Originals in the store go on sale for 50% or 60% off frequently. If the item full price is over $20, $10 "free" is not a very good deal. This is especially true because you have to buy 2 or 3 other things to even get the $10. So again, OK, if you were going to buy those things anyway, but no incentive to buy things to get that $10, as I see it.

I wondered about this also once this sale started. Problem is that they obviously use the "compatibility info". And more or less everything is also G8.1 compatible. Would much more prefer once they would just use the release date to differentiate. Only upside are some converters or tools once those only have compatibility info for older generations. That way you may get the one or other rather new product from RiversoftArt for a good price.
Today's deal is especially bad if you intend to buy two items slightly above that $10. Then the discount kicks in, and the gift card deal does not apply any more. So I put those two items on my whishlist and dumped my cart. No sale for DAZ, this time.
I was really hoping for a gift card sale, and do need one because of the bad conversion rates right now, but I'm also not gonna buy today. This gotta stop.
GC sale is a pass for me, too. I'll wait.
Also, what happened to the PA sales when there would be that long alphabetical list of all PAs whose name started with the letter-of-the-day? It was there for a couple of days, and is now gone.

I tried to set up a GC purchase too, but one item I had dropped below $10.00 and only got 10% off GC. Went to find something else for cart, found something, played with GC amounts. Hesitated, because I also remembered the habit of better GC sales after a 10% or 15% one. So, cleared cart. No purchase again. Saving money.
Played a bit too, just for funsies, and it's really quite ridiculous: Had the horse bundle in the cart which comes to about 17.something after discounts, and the beanie hair which is 9.98 - so at 10% the GC discount stayed, despite me spending way more than the required 20.00. I mean, 2 cents, people?! Seriously? Why'd you construct prices like that, to make fun of people or what? Why can't it just be 'spend AMOUNT XX on new stuff'? Gaaah ...
I was hoping for all of the Premier Artist Festival new releases to return to Still New - they drop off so quickly that despite wanting 4+ items, I haven't bought any of them because they debuted too far apart to buy together for the full discount.
I've wishlisted the items for now, and will perhaps buy them sometime down the line, probably at better prices. But Daz could make some sales now if Still New didn't cycle products out every couple days. Or if we had a proper catch-up sale.

Yeah, gotta agree with the sentiment about today's Gift Card sale. I ran out of credit at the end of last month and haven't bought anything since. Many New Releases have looked great, so I've been waiting for another GC sale, but $10 x 2 for 15% off is unfortunately the worst offer I can remember.
Tried placing 2 orders yesterday (paypal), both ended up pending and then after an hour or so, the status was changed to failed and I was refunded. Tried again today and same thing happened (currently pending; I'm getting a server error if I try to view the order). I opened a ticket, but I was wondering if anyone has any clue what might cause this?
There's a flash sale on, 70% off 4+ items. It's not discounting correctly as far as I can see, I'm getting 79% off everything, so it's ignoring the daz+ member discount. Can anyone else confirm this or is it supposed to be a fixed % off ignoring the original discount? Everything shows automatically as 72% off in the preview screen and then goes down to 79% in the cart. It's not that it's a bad discount, it's just that I can't figure out what's going on.
79% is the 70% off and then the 30% off. That is the correct discount.
