The (freshly) renamed "all non DAZ original items 45% off" sale still includes a shipload of DAZ+ items that are not reduced for those 45% from their DAZ+ price.

can you give examples of ones less than 45%?

the "60% OFF Featured Category Items" sale is fixed. it is a bit more expensive e.g. $.90 to 1.20, but definately worth it and as i would have expected. Thankyou!

    You mean all non-new. There's 18K. I've gone through a bunch and they're 45 or higher.

yeah, sorry that I missed to type that single word when setting up the link to the item list. Mea culpa. Luckilierwise I at least managed to give the richt link, right? So it wasn't totally un-understable what I meant. And it's not all those 18k items, but only (!) about a fraction of the ~4739 DAZ+ items in that list. Have a few examples from the first page, when sorted by release date and restricting the search on DAZ+ items:

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-black-long-dress-outfit-for-genesis-81-female-bundle usual DAZ+ Price: $ 7.99, 45% off deal price: $ 6.28 (= 20% off), extra 45% off price should be: $ 4.40

https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-rusty-railyard usual DAZ+ Price: $ 29.95, 45% off deal: $ 23.53 (which is only 41% off the BASE PRICE of $ 39.95, so not even 45% off the base price) = 20% off the DAZ+ price, extra 45% off should be: $ 16.48

I have to admit, that I am too lazy to make a list with all the items that are not reduced the proper 45% off the DAZ+ price, as it are at least 50+ items with only about 20% off the DAZ+ price.

So these items either do not belong into that list or they should be reduced the appropriate amount or we need how DAZ intended to make that 45% off reduction happen, if they use a different base price maybe... which would be a bit cheesy imho, considering that there are quite a few older items that get the 45% off the DAZ+ price.

  • + items do not get the discount on Daz Originals, they get the special + price ($x.99) instead. Is that not what you are seeing?

Sorry, but I don't understand what you want me to tell you with this sentence.

And I gave two examples above what I am seeing. If those DAZ+ items are not supposed to get the 45% off from their price for DAZ+members, THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN THAT EFFING LIST OF ITEMS TO GET A 45% REDUCTION.

As some DAZ+ items in the list DO get a 45% reduction of their DAZ+ price, while others only get a 20% reduction of their DAZ+ price, Your argument that DAZ+ items do not get the discount, but only their DAZ+ seems a little bit off.

Maybe if you would give a detailed example how the price(s) for DAZ+ items in the list are reached might help me or you?!?

  • Non-new + items do not usually get a discount, except for things like category sales. That appears to account for the + items I am seeing in that list with an additional discount.

What i do notice is, that pretty often the interactive license price of an item changes in the cart. Sometimes for the good, like adapting to the discount of another one (and maybe sometimes or always this may have been a discount with some precondition, that i just had have met by accident), and sometimes it bounces back to normal price in the cart, though the shop site for the item displayed a discount. The support told me to take screenshots of those, so they'd grant the difference as a coupon or whatever that's called technically.

Jack Tomalin said in another thread that we should take into account  that it is weekend, so i guess there is not enough staff to make and implement such decisions.

I think if a company is not willing to put sufficient human resources into an international online store on the weekends, then maybe they shouldn't run events on the weekends.

Apologies if it has already been mentioned, but why are the breakout new releases today from this Daz original bundle (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-darkforest-evil-witch-outfit-for-genesis-8-and-81-females) not Daz originals, too?

byob-1 have lasted for only one day?

    Today is already byob-2...

Mis-fire, I expect - I will flag it up, though it is not likely to be fixed today.

Oh me of little faith - in fact it is fixed now I am told, though the store hasn't updated.

I also suggested that but today afaik they fixed everything. Weird, but still a good sale for melaugh

I resubscribed to Daz+ just because of this annual sale. The sale is so messed up, that on day 2, I am already beginning to experience buyer's remorse over that subscription purchase. I had been doing fine without it for many months after I let it expire.
Rhetorical question: Why after all these years, can't Daz code a sale that works and explain it accurately on the sale page?

I've been wondering this myself often in the past months. I think it's maybe because it's the same company, but not the same people.

I'm personally enjoying the sale so far because I've been quite lucky on day 1, but I feel bad for all the people here who've had reason to complain. I think the only rule for oneself that really makes sense these days is, If it's at a good price and you want it, buy it immediately. Don't wait, for whatever reason. Just make sure of course that you know what you really want / need, because otherwise you'll be buying half the store in no time like that ;-)

I've bought both spotlight items when they were less than $2 each and a couple $1.99 items. The rest is too convoluted to even know what the price should be, and the prices change throughout the day.

I did the BYOB thing yesterday...I seemed to get some things I wanted, and $2.96 was a good price.

The free bundle was nice, too.  I only had 3 things in it already.

Other than those, nope.  Can't be spending a lot, anyway.

i renewed for a quarter which expires on October 31. It was for this sale and the PA sale.  Right now I'm trying to clear my wishlist ... most of what is on sale right now has been passed over a hundred times. I threw 3 1.99 its in my cart but haven't checked out yet. Will probably clear them. The cheap special item is something I don;t need at all, a rather everysay daz female character.  The one with the hanging tree was pretty off base, but there are other things useful in htere.

Well I like the DAZ+FAD. Have already bought way to many of those regarding that I opted for just a smaller gift gard. Got 2 Spotlight items (before they went price-wise crazy). Apart from that: Nope, too complicated too even bother. Missed the everything $1.99 on the 1st. Don't know if those will be cancelled for guys who bought half the store for that. But unfortunately that glitsch also affects the browser extensions which now shows $1.99 the lowest even for products which have never been DAZ+FAD.

One thing that really bothers: I cannot use my monthly coupon on DAZ+FAD. That sucks. I'm OK if stacking is ruled out (although that was always nice) but I want to be able to use my coupon on products which are eligible.

Oh and on side note: I like really everything in todays bundle but the price. Is out of my range, especially during this sale. But wishlisted the buddy for someday.

I think something's wrong with the BYOBs: The first one was online only for one day, now the second one is online the second day already. Isn't there supposed to be some sort of consistency? I'm confused ...

The "60% OFF Featured Category Items" is also the same unfortunately. Since the first never worked, this would have been a great opportunity to repeat it, instead of the 2nd one, which was fixed after a while. But the sale isn't over, maybe tomorrow.

The post in the MO goes over this - the format is a little differnet this year as it's a short sale.. so these will change up nearly every day.

if screenshots or which products are in your cart and you don't show us what's wrong, we can't test to see if if it's the cat or the specific products. I just tried some and see them at 60% which is expected.

The Daz+ coupon isn't taking off $6, and just to make sure it wasn't the freebie eating part again, I took it out, no difference. Can someone kick the server to fix it.

    Hi Cris,

Nothing is wrong, that was a misunderstanding. It is just that the byobs and category sale were the same as yesterday, normaly nothing unusual but this time everything seemed to change everyday. Thankyou anyway!

Hi Jack, thanks for the quick answer, what's the 'MO'? - I figured already that the BYOBs would move faster, I was just suprised that the current one seems to be staying LONGER than the one before. But if you say 'nearly every day', then I guess there'll just not be a totally straight rhythm to it this time. Which is quite alright.
I'd still like to know how long the sale's gonna be altogether this time.

Has anyone reported this I posted above? It still hasn't corrected and I want to check out.
