HD certainly looks useful. Thankyou, Gordig.

Yes, very much so. Thanks also, @Gordig!

It's been an age since I bought a bundle, but I really like this one...and the price wasn't eye-watering, which is always nice :)

I'm liking Necromancer 8.1's skin...but wow, the HD has to be used sparingly! Here he's mixed with a smidge of Torment.

    That looks fantastic!

these words came to mind when I saw the head/face of Necromancer..."Yond Cassius hath a lean and hunrgy look..." from Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar" where Cassius takes part in the slaying of Julius Caesar on the "Ides of March". Needs a toga for that. I think SY dForce Roman Clothing Pack Genesis 8 Male | Daz 3D would suit.

Did anybody notice that this figure comes with no pose sets? There are poses for the dragon, but not for the Necromancer. That backwards slouch could make for some posing issues.

I know that trying to give him better posture certainly did. Turning off the limits of Zev0's Growing Up morphs 'youth posture' dial and dialing it in negative seemed to work pretty well, but it made a mess of one of the costumes I tried to put on him. Never realized that that dial affected the clothing (particularly if it's robes).

Another oddity: Like all of the 8.1 core figures, only Iray presets are listed on the store page.

However, I loaded the figure in 4.12 (a mistake, but that's the version I use most) looked at the surfaces tab, and the surfaces were displayed as 3DL settings. If that's the case, I'm very happy, since that's what I use, but I was pretty sure it was a glitch. Only, when I reopened the saved scene in 4.15 the surfaces still display with 3DL settings. I haven't tried to render it yet, so it may do its usual hang when it reaches the figure, like it does three-quarters of the time whe it hits an Iray surface, but it seemed odd enough to mention.

ETA: I rendered him in 3DL without a trace of a problem.

I like what he brings to the gene pool. He's mixed with a few other characters here, but the HD is all Necromancer ;). I didn't care for the eyes, so I used some textures from Soto's Maxx. I really do like his skin textures tho.

Best character yet from my (untrained unprofessional) eye's grasp of the technical acheivement of that product. I ignored it earlier though based on the necromancer title.

His face is really nice as a craggy base for a weathered man.

This is 100% Necromancer's Body, with 75% Necromancer's head blended with a bit of Alex Capital 8.1 (for the crooked nose and using Alex's HD to add the scar), various asymmetry morphs added, and 45% Leland. Also using the HD for Necromancer at about 80%.

He definitely adds to the gene pool. Although we've got a number of other "character actors" in the lineup already.

Well, went with the basic bundle. Could not justify the added money for the Mega bundle for the moment. Hope to get the HD cheap sometime in the future.

This is an awesome set - I really love the staff. I took it into Unity and set up a VR scene for ENGAGE, made it skyscraper sized and hanged out on a Friday night with some friends listening to soundtracks :)
