I would think if you already have it blocked then the link will take you to a blocked page requesting access like every other place with similar. We don't have all the details and answers yet. There is still work being done on it.

Or are you getting ready to turn the Daz store into a 3D porn store?

I wouldn't mind, I might actually start purchasing more products, LOL

I am super happy to see this filter implemented, its very awkward to send clients in to browse the store especially in a corporate environment - never mind an educational environment.
As for what is getting censored - its new - give them a couple of days to get it sorted... and newer products will be set up right from the start. Kudos to Daz for getting this up and running finally.

Maybe NFTs bombed out, so they have to look for new avenues of profit now.

I am curious about what will be flagged as mature content in the store and how consistent it will be.

I don't see much in that regard, and there are some existing rules already in the promos and content, although sometimes those are skirted.

If there was nudity or excessive violence I could understand, but DAZ store is already flagged as a bikini site, so it is a curious decision.

I would wish that the store worked more on categories. Perhaps if it improved categories it would not need a maturity filter, since content which is more 'mature' (however the store defines it), would be categorized that way.

I haven't seen any official Daz announcement about this new development. It just popped up without explanation. I don't see any way on a product page to tell whether a product is considered mature content or not.
Why add more complexity, Daz, if you can't even make the existing store search and category filtering function properly?

Is this like the Comics Code? Apparently comics were horrendously violent and gory before that.

I think the selection option is good. I don't use the site at work, but when you're on the train or in a restaurant or at Aunt Maria's, it can be helpful to not have everything visible.

Now add a selection box for every single product that you definitely, definitely don't want to see anymore and would never buy, and I would be very happy.

Its part of the Daz Deals Browser Extension, not the Daz3d website.

    No, it really isn't.

...wouldn't mind a filter that filters out all dForce items as it would make shopping less of a chore for those with old hrdware.  Maybe that could be a DazDeals option.

It would be interesting to have "Show only mature content" filter to see what are those 5252 products that are categorized unsuitable for us minors, that is in addition to tree trunks and teeth...

Thats what I was thinking.  Just show me the "mature" content :)

    I dont know....

To me EVERYTHING in the Daz catalog is PG rated.

Because I make adult art and only adult art, I wish there was a filter for blocking clothing. I dont need that stuff unless it hikes above the waist, or disappears once I hit the render buitton. Shoes can stay though. ;)

I get it. Some hemorrage at the site of bare knees and sholders. Obviously because they still live in the 1950`s and have no knees and sholders of their own.

But on a serious note, if that filter was in play back when I first started, I would never have noticed it. I would have searched for what I needed, not found it, and left to buy it at one of the other fine online market places.

I did not visit the forums until months or maybe even a year later. I would have been in the dark as a new user.

So I dont know how welcoming that would be.

I was a child in the 1950's and clearly remember aunties with the (then) fashionable wide open cleavage. Hemlines were indeed just below the knee though.

As for adult art and clothing, surely they are clothed at the start of the story ... or do you make single images rather than stories? I do agree that the clothing artists could put a little more effort into creating the means to show clothing being removed. There are some lovely looking garments with buttons and zippers but they are mostly welded closed. Pity your adult actors being faced with those obstacles.

By the way: the filter has to be ON to see the mature content.

...saw this the other day, liked the basic style, but no "buttion up" morph.

  • an untexured cube might sell better, if you'll label it as "mature content". ;-)

I tried to check if Kindred Arts' infamous Qube was classified as mature content but sadly it seems to have been pulled from the Store. I guess it was just too risque. ;-)

The current state of it (ie. sorta not working at all) aside, I'm a fan of the inclusion. It's an option, people can have it or not, and more options is always a good thing! Plus, from my perspective it'll make it easier to filter out Daz's extensive collection of skimpwear (again, once it's actually working)

That should leave you with about 10 items to look through, so should save you some cash. Happy Days!

whatever then. One thing is clear, this proves they should be able to provide filters for categories ... like hair-G8- etc etc.

  • How about providing filtering by the artist inside the Daz studio? That info is in metadata, but one can't search for one specific PA in the smart content.

If you find a product/file by the artist in question in Smart Content and look at the Info tab at the bottom of the pane (may be collapsed) then clicking on the artist name will apply a filter for the artist. You can then save the filter for future use from the icon to the left of the filter text box.
