Assassin 8.1

So, Genesis 8/8.1's swan song is the guy we've been waiting for since the beginning. Finally, the handsome, suave heartthrob that's also rugged! Assassin 8.1, the true successor of Michael 6 & Michael 7 is the Bond-type that I wish I'd had four years ago. Yet, he's still right on time.

And his skin looks good too. Thanks, Daz, for making things better.

No geometry brows though. Chevybabe25 to the rescue! Bundle looks good, but I'll have to pick and choose. I don't need another G8F that I'll never use.

    I like him. He and Kento are the only two 8.1 DO male figures that I like. If Assassin and Arianna are the final two 8.1 DO figures then they totally are the redemption arc of the 8.1 era, at least to me. BUT will I buy him? Not likely, as he is destined to be an older generation of figure, even before he showed up LOL. Poor guy!

    I guess they ran out of names?  Like a lot of PBR characters, I find he looks like he wears a lot of foundation.

    We had "necromancer", and now "assassin".  It's as if they're just anonymous (literally) background.

    Ok So... we get an Assassin's Creed character, what I really want to know is when are we gonna get a Sephiroth clone.

    If he told us his name, he'd have to make us disappear. Comes with the business.

    I like his shape (and HD add-on) and have started mixing him with other characters and morph add-ons.  His textures are working well with my custom light set up, though I always tweak the materials properties to get the skin to my liking (with respect to my lighting.)

    Very, very happy with my purchase of Assassin 8.1 today. :)

    I bought him. Because who knows when we'll see Mike 9? Besides, I still use Genesis 1 figures all the way up to the current and have since I've been using DS. A new figure doesn't make the older not work anymore. Or look less good ;).

    If they aren't going to give us fibermesh brows with him, there should have at least been a missing finger morph included.

    His gens textures are out of whack.  They don't match up at all.  Is there no QC at DAZ?

    So this reminds me of the time when Scott 6 came out after Victoria 7.  Does this mean that Michael 9 won't be out until spring or summer?

    The armor looks a bit impractical for stealth, not to mention the danger of impaling yourself on one of those spikes.  I wonder what the outfit looks like without the armor.

    I do like the character and the hair.

    I am tempted to get the Stealth bundle.  First time I've considered purchasing a bundle in a while.

    And, unfortunately, the majority of the user base doesn't give a crap about males either.

    I don't really pay attention to the female figures. Are any of them released with such bare bones options - just the plain skin with no fibermesh brows? No options for tattoos or make-up? The lack of consistency in what comes with a DO numbered figure for the set price does my head in.

    There is at least one promo (I think it's in the gloves add-on) which shows the armor set without the silly metal spike things. It's could be a matt zone that can be turned off, or it might just be a part of that harness that goes over the rest of it that can be left off. In any case it looked like a decent fantasy medieval outfit.

    Thank you for pointing that out.  It does look good.  I guess the metal piece on the hood is part of the outfit but it probably can be turned off in material settings.

    Why woudl daz go to the trouble of making the Genssi 9 base an intergender shape if they did not intended to support male characters? Why would they commission or buy out products for the male bundles? In any event, this is not being rleased after Genesis 9 - just after we learnt it was coming.
