I hadn't read this thread until today and it explains a lot with all my content why Smart Content is utterly useless for me![devil devil](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/devil_smile.png)
I feel vindicated fror never using smart content. I'm not missing anything.
Lowly forumites LOL! The phrase that will not die![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
The business of Daz is to sell content. G9 was inevitable as the mechanism to do that. G8 has a lot of interesting capabilities. I suspect people who are happy to continue using older generations of figure are not going to generate the same income for Daz as people who are buying in to the newest generation. OTOH, once one has thousands of items in the library, there is less impetus to jump on the latest bandwagon. Too many figures and outfts yet to be explored. DS5 may fix some issues, but it seems likely DS5 will break a lot of existing scripts and products. It's that treadmill of technology. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There are a lot of UI customization options in the existing software, which is why I want better documentation.
I came from Poser, so using the regular Content Library came more natural to me I guess ;)
