Weird search results - please donate

Daz is aware that some searches are not returning the expected/desired results, but it needs specific examples to track the issues down and make sure they are fixed. If you have a search term that fails to return the expected result (one that is know is that freja doesn't actually find Freja 8.1, but "freja" does) please post it here.
Please don't use this for general feedback on search, just for actual examples that can be used in refining the search system.
Thank you for your help.

Saw this post and just tested Freja. Same issue.
So then tried Jospehine with and without quotes. Seems a good indication of database search issue when seeing Jonathan is included in "Josephine" search.
Good catch on the Josephine one. Looks like he has her as a keyword in his settings (no idea why.)
I've just done a search on Ultrascenery and got back 33 results - one of which was Toe Control for Genesis.
Cheers,
Alex.
Oh, that Toe Control one is a good one. Thanks! Nice catch!
Here's a few out of my product purchases online (not in DAZ Studio though I know from experience to expect similarly frustrating results):
a) baseball does not bring up 3DU's "Homerun" product.
b) games only brings up a small subset of all the products I've bought that are considered games ranging from carnival/fair games to board games to arcade games to video games to kids' games to sports games
c) game brings up a slightly different but overlapping subset as from b above
Searching for dog (without the quotes) gave 266 results, with these included;

Test: freja does not work - but "freja" or *freja* or *freja or ?freja work
I also recognize that I will get wrong search results when I select to get the results for more than one figure. Example:
Genesis 8.1 Female (375)
Genesis 8 Female (503)
If I select only one the results are correct. If i select both, I got some results up to three times on several pages.

@joe2018 That type of information is perfect. Thanks so much.

After I do a search, I can't get rid of it. I click the X by the search bar on the results page, but it shows a search for "" and only shows 18000 results (small part of the store).
Same for me.
Okay, maybe this is a good place to bring up the fact that some products are categorized as mature which shouldn't be. Case in point, Skin Builder for Genesis 8 is categorized as mature. If I search specifically for Skin Builder 8, it doesn't show up in the search results. I have to click the box to show mature content before Skin Builder for Genesis 8 shows up. Yet none of the other skin resource materials are listed as mature.
Skin Builder is set to mature because it has anatomical elements support in it.
These are all great.. Keep them coming. Rewards will follow ;)
In fact, I'll put a bount out: Whoever comes up with the most frustrating search that likely affects the most people gets $100 in store credit. Other rewards will be given out as well.
Not actually a search, but selecting "People and Wearables" -> "Genesis 8 People" -> "Female", produces 2700 results.
With 120 products per page, only 18 had a character in them on the first page.
There are a lot of 8 and 8.1 HD people that have "Anatomical Elements" listed, should they all be set to mature?
The search is hiding MSO Peppa HD for Genesis 9, but not hiding MSO Rory HD for Genesis 8.1 Female and both products include "Anatomical Elements". I think it's a shame to exclude any of these characters based on that bullet point because the default is unchecked on this and if I didn't know that this was a bug (at least to me), I would never check that box. It's just not something I would think to do so I would never see results for Mousso G9 characters (if that is what makes the difference in this case).
Edit: Made some corrections after doing more searches.
Edit2: Sorry for so many edits. Did more searches and I wanted to point out that Victoria 9 HD has "Female Anatomical Elements", but is not removed from searches that do not have Show Mature Content checked. This checkbox seems to be inconsitatnt in what it blocks if Anatomical Elements is the key word that blocks items.
OK, I have an easy set:
One of the most frequently asked questions in the forums that has been patiently answered again & again.
With & without quotes in the store search: genital, genitals, genitalia all don't bring up the "Pro Bundles" / "Theme Bundles (although I'm not sure which theme bundles include and with don't)" or the new marketing technique that puts them in the Genesis 9 Starter Essentials Expansion.
The non-obvious "Anatomical Elements" does bring up the new Genesis 9 Starter Essentials Expansion but not any of the products prior that would include the generation equiavalent of those products.
As these are natural biological terms learned in middle school science and/or health class is would be prudishly logical if search included them even if the terminology wasn't included in the description that PayPal and other payment serves try to use to censor product purchases.
Also: I say that the old Anatomy Bundles did show up in search for "Anatomical Elements" but I've never been aware the they actually include them, instead aren't those actually included with various V4, M4, or other Generation 4 Pro Bundles?
I was surprised that a search for skimpwear returned only 232 results. A search for "skimpwear" (with quotes) on the other hand returned 339. Why does a single word return different results when it is placed inside quotes? What is the algorithm?
A search for skimpy returned only 1 product. The word skimpy does not appear any place on the product's page. A search for "skimpy" (with quotes) also returns only 1 product, but an entirely different product. In this case, the word skimpy does actually appear on the product page.
Store Search:
Things like
"Genesis 8 Female Hair" bring up 15 pages while Genesis 8 Female Hair bring up only 10 pages.
The quoted search brings up 5 more pages and more of them are irrelevant to the search than the unquoted search, which is the opposite of narrowing search results with the specifity of quoting one of more terms in the search.
If I use the same two search strings as above in my online product library on the DAZ3D.com site contrary and frustratingly against all expectations I get NO results for either search term.
Wow, yes that is a good one. I thought I'd take it a step further and search for penis. I got 5 results: one female hair color, 3 female clothing textures, and one male character texture, with no mention of the word on the page, of course, but anatomical elements is mentioned.
This is all perfect.. Keep 'em coming. We will use these to test changes against, so the more examples you can provide the better our search will be.
Here's something simple, I searched for house. After that I filtered for a genre of Sci-Fi which returned 11 products.
Things that stood out as not belonging are Zero-G Poses for V3, Doom Demon HD for Genesis 8 Male, Superhero Moves Volume 1 and The Iskelia Facility Courtyard (although a couryard this isn't a house IMO).
Searching for wolf gives 134 results, but at 40 products per page it shows only three pages and at 80 products per page it shows only 1 page.
Editing the URL manually to 140, shows 120 products
Searching for "wolf" gives 132 results but only 120 products are shown
Here is a very odd behavior:
A store search for environment first returned 12 pages of products. At the bottom of the page I pressed the next arrow to go to page 2 and the number of pages of results increased from 12 pages to 30 pages.
Also, a search for environment or set, singular or plural and the searcher is likely looking for nature ecologies or architectures and not light sets and other products I saw like pose sets.
Likewise, a search for city 1st returned 4 pages of results and then when I pressed the arrow to page 2 at the bottom of the page 1 results the number of pages of results increased to 12.
And then when I did the same search again so as to step by step explain here the number of pages after clicking the next page this time the results were 11 pages of results.
Same thing if I use instead the drop down menu of the page number listings at the bottom.
This bug is likely to occur for many other search terms as well. It seems to me as if the filter has to be getting changed and possible different database(s) being queried and that's likely going to make the programmers wonder why the results aren't consistent.
Those results tell me that a search is happening at least twice in the database(s). One in the top right hand store search corner and the 2nd time on the clicking of the next page arrow at the bottom of the initial page of returned results.
I uninstalled the "DAZ Deals" extension to remove any doubt as to whether it could be altering the results in an unexpected way.
I am using the latest Microsoft Edge in the 2nd newest feauture release of Windows 11 (as of 2022 Nov 7).
The images show:
a) 01 & 02 the top & bottom of the returned search results when I searched for city and hit return in the search box circled in red on image 01. Notice there are 4 pages of results in image 02 green circle and I clicked the next page arrow in the red circle which should take my to page 2 next.
b) 03 & 04 the top & bottom of the returned search results after cliicking the next page button as shown on image 02. Notice in image 04 the number of pages of results increases to 11. Also, it says I am still on page 1 and notice the results are now different than the page 1 of in image 02. That can only mean that two searches of city occurred and those searches didn't use the same key(s) or matching criteria or possibly even the same database(s).
c) 05 & 06 the top & bottom after hitting the next page arrow at the bottom in image 04 does now go to page 2 of the search results obtained by hitting the next page on the search results from image 02.
From there, I think your programmers and QA can figure out how to fix those results to be accurate & consistent.
Searching twice using a searcher's intended single search will also put unneeded load on your web & database servers. With many customers, search bots, and other similar load problems best to avoid that scenario if possible (buffer(s) of memory in use per customer may limit how much data one can return at once in a web buffer per customer unique web page open ).
Searching for mabel gives 20 results, including;
https://www.daz3d.com/meong-and-tabby-for-genesis-8-female
https://www.daz3d.com/good-as-dead-poses
Searching for "mabel" doesn't show Meong and Tabby, but still shows Good as Dead.
I sometimes had to leave out parts of the item title like "dforce", so the item would actually show up at all. So some items did not appear in the search results at all, until i removed part of the title. Happened several times, mostly general stuff like "Geneseis..." suffix or "dforce" prefix, but i think it also happend with a more uncommon term.
Couldn't find examples ad-hoc.
Searching for Floyd or "Floyd", both give 16 results, including;

https://www.daz3d.com/mayweather-outfit-for-genesis-8-females
https://www.daz3d.com/mayweather-outfit-textures
Searching for Werewolf gives 46 results, including;
https://www.daz3d.com/paxton-hair
Searching "Werewolf" gives 55 results, including Paxton hair
