Aiko 9 and Hiro 9?

I love aiko and hiro 

What if daz will added aiko 9 and hiro 9 in genesis 9 after victoria 9 and michael 9 and victoria4 and michael4 for genesis 9?

When aiko 9 and hiro 9 will come out? 2022 or 2023? I'm very excited to see Aiko 9 and Hiro 9 Look Like.

    There may be an Aiko 9 reasonably soon, but I wouldn't hold my breath for a male counterpart. There hasn't been a Hiro since the original Genesis, Guy and Kenji didn't make it past G3, for a long time all we had for G8 was Toon Dwayne and I'm not even sure who that was for. We did get more male toons later in G8's life cycle with Yuzuru and Kota, but I don't know how reliable an indicator that is. 

    That said, though, the advantage of G9 is that we wouldn't necessarily have to wait for a male version of Aiko (or Sakura, or Kanade, etc.), we could just buy Aiko and make her male...which might actually make it LESS likely that we'll get male counterparts.

    Yeah, I don't think there would be a Hiro 9. Aiko 9 might be likely but IDK when. The thing about anime is that there's different art styles. The A3 & H3 is closer to 1990s anime. Sakura 8, a likely PA-buyout character from a PA who never made male characters, looks like 2000s anime. Others like to say Aiko 8 looks like she's from Final Fantasy, as if that game series isn't just 3D anime but with slightly more naturalistic proportions. (She is anime. All of the ones I mentioned are anime.)

    Aiko 8 was Aiko in name only and Hiro died with the original Genesis. However, I found a user at Renderosity who made excellent spiritual successors to both for Genesis 8. LexaKiness will probably make similar characters for G9, if Daz3D isn't up to the task.

    And even those broad categories of anime are misleading, because different art styles existed even in the same era. Take Berserk and Sailor Moon, which debuted in 1988 and 1991, respectively:

    I consider Aiko 3 and Sakura 8 to be closer to typical anime than Aiko 8

    I found Aiko 8 to be a more realistic (and older) than the typical anime lead female character and is taller. She is very pretty no doubt, but its a different style
    The typical anime style has teens with big eyes, large irises with a longer axis vertical, and small mouths - at least for the females
    Males (at least the non childish looking ones) either have less pronounced more realistic eyes than the females or at least sharper less rounded eyes with less giant irises that the females have.
    Take a look at "The irregular at magic high" and compare the difference in faces between the brother and sister lead characters.
    Kirito (from sword art online), and all the clones of him in other anime, does have the big irises, but somehow still manages to have a more manly shape to the eyes, that show determination.

    Yeah, Aiko 8 was just terrible.

    LexaKiness made a much better "Aiko 8" over at Renderosity and gave her a matching "Hiro 8" too. Her's look like sucessors to Aiko 6, which was one of the best looking Aiko itterations in my opinion. She looked anime, but like an anime adult.

    Genesis 9 just got a very nice looking set of stylized toon adults, so maybe something anime is on the way as well.

    I've really enjoyed every iteration of Aiko since v3. I enjoy that each Aiko is different, to represent the huge variety of styles in anime and jrpgs. In my biased opinion she, along with Victoria is an Aikonic part of the Daz lineup. (Sorry couldn't resist...) Can't wait to see what her next iteration looks like!

    Almost bought one of their products before I jumped over to Poser.  Now I see that Tidazo and Tahiza are truly reminiscent of Aiko and Hiro.

    I would like a Sakura/Aiko/Hiro 9 done in the style of Sakura for Genesis 8 Female but RareEarth is no longer a PA at DAZ 3D. frown

    At this point for me, anime or toon characters are the only ones I'd consider getting that's a G9 character. But we need some more dude options. I love using Yuzuru, and do so very often, but we need some more options! So I'd welcome a Hiro 9!

    You're not the only one. I kind of liked Aiko 4's "Realistic" version to mix with other morphs, but otherwise, meh.

    I really hope that daz will announce aiko 9 and hiro 9 in 2023 (idk)

    There are my favorite daz anime figures, they deserved to be genesis 9 along with victoria and michael

    ...ever since Aiko4 debuted, she tended to move and more away from the anime style to looking more like any other Daz female. 

    I still have the original Aiko Anime Character ("Aiko1") which predated A3.

    That's why Genesis 1 is the perfect storm of anime goodness, you have Hitomi, three generations of Aiko and three generations of Hiro all available for the same figure.

    Aiko 6 was pretty nice too. For a long time I used a character made with her as a test bed for rendering styles.

    That looks fantastic! Do you mind me asking what shader system you used for the cell shading?

    PwToon, which unless you already own, is now impossible to get, as it's been delisted. It's a shame, as for the money it was the most versatile toon shader I've ever seen! If they're not going to sell it, they could at least "free" it with a "sorry, no tech support." caveat.

    Ah gotcha. Dang, I always had that on my list too. Had I known it was going to be taken off the site, I would have picked it up when I had a chance. I guess I'll keep trying to make the Lightning Boy Shader work with Daz characters in Blender. I can never get the lips to look right and that's what I immediately noticed about your render and how good they looked. Well, thanks for letting me know!
