    Yeah, it's infuriating, as it still works just fine, but thems the breaks.

    I think some folks have tried to get something similar working in iRAY but to me most do not stand up to PWToon!  It really is a shame this code couldn't be somehow emulated using the iRAY render engine since MOST use only that these days!

    Yup. I've come close to getting certain PwToon looks with Sketchy for Iray, but none of them compare to PwToon's versatility. Needless to say a toon shader and Aiko/Hiro are a perfect combo.

    My advice is to email Daz3D directly, and see if they'll either sell it again or re-release it as a freebie.

    Using iRay when you want PWToon is like substituting meat for fruit in your recipe. It might still be good, but it's not what you're after.

    That's an apt comparison. I can make the fruit taste kind of like meat, but at the end of the day, it's not meat.

    While not a G9 shape, there's a free custom shape on Deviantart that copies Aiko 3 for G8F that some of you may like.

    I'd say that's Aiko 3 "inspired" as the face has been altered heavily. Still, she looks like a much better candidate for Aiko 8 than the official Aiko 8.

    Right about now, one of the only things that's gonna get me on to the G9 train are good anime figures, be they Aiko/Hiro 9 or something from Renderosity that's basically them under a different name.

    You're welcome! Did you notice that even at the regular price, the bundle for both of them costs less than one Daz Original figure? Yuzuru and Sakura 8's regular price is $45...each!

    While I'm not a huge fan of Anime I loved the default looks of Aiko and Hiro 3.  I wonder why DAZ has, over the generational releases, slowly homogenized their looks to almost human?  Seems to me that if you supply full on Anime in a dial in 'as you desire' option folks that love the full Anime looks can enjoy them and folks that just want a little bit to "toon" up a characters face could use the dials in smaller increments.  Come on DAZ!  Don't leave the Anime lovers out in the cold.  Stop with the homogenization stuff for these particular shapes.  Bring on the full on Aiko and Hiro 3 looks!  Gracias!

    Yes, thank you!! I just bought the two character bundle thing and a couple of others from that artist. They have some great stuff!

    Aiko 3 for genesis 8 and LexaKiness characters was great

    But i still wish that daz will add Aiko 9 and Hiro 9 more anime and semi-realistic look

    Hiro and David didn't survive after Genesis (5th gen.) but Aiko and Stephanie will probably be there.

     

    Kenji 7, Yuzuru 8 and Kota 8.1 were nice.

    Kenji was a big [poor], but Yuzuru is decent. He makes for a good 50/50 blend with Lexa Kiness's Tidazo.

    It would be nice to have some Bishounin morphs for more masculine anime characters.
