My Wishlist Facelift?

Check and see if your My Wishlist page got a redesign. Mine now looks like a typical Store search results page, complete with the usual filters.

Yeah. It's terrible. I don't like it all. The thumbnails are way too big, and the filters are deeply unnecessary.
My thumbnails are the same size as the main shop pages (MS Edge). Zoom setting?
I hate it.
Perhaps. But I have bad eyes and need the larger text on the forums.
Edited to add: It actually seems to be because there are 3 rows of thumbnails in the store pages and only 2 in my wishlist, so it's making the thumbs bigger. *sigh*
Only found out that the remove item from wishlist button is gone, although it seems that it has been replaced with a blue heart in the top right corner. I suppose it is neater but not knowing many may go what the.
Even more disturbing are the numbers to the upper left: 358 of 368 items and that is with Clear Filters clicked. So what happened to the remaining 10?
And yes, Show Mature content ist checked.
I think it's an improvement. I never use the wishlist page anyway, I always do "show wishlist only" in the store. Now that the two are essentially the same I might start actually using the wishlist page.
Looks like it is following the trend of 'made for phones' that is creeping into web design these days rather than making it a separate CSS. These new sites look terrible on anything other that a small screen phone.
Some suggestions for the DAZ developers, though.
To be honest, if the wishlist simply reproduced the same visual styling as the main store, it probably wouldn't be a bad thing. The main store pages use space reasonably well, and the thumbnails are big enough to show off the product attractively. There probably isn't a need for the extra-large thumbnails of the new wishlist. And, as a bonus, users are already familiar with that layout, and know where to look for the information it contains. Maybe there's an argument for making the wishlist visually distinct from the main store listings, but I'm not convinced that that's really that important.
Am I the only one with a different nimber of items? And yes the above is with "Hide items I own" unticked.
As for Wishlist notes: I think that was/is a feature of Daz Deals, which broke with the new design. You can't sort by percentage off either at the moment (another Daz Deals feature).
One more vote for "I hate the new wishlist". On the old wishlist, I could define the number of rows (thus define the size of thumbnails and the amount of items I can see on my screen), and the useless categories to the left didn't take up space (I don't even use them in store, because of the results being less than helpful). What's worse, contrary to the store, the thumbnails in the wishlist are square (store ones are rectangular) and clipped, making it impossible to quickly recognize the product that should have been otherwise familiar. Not to mention the added functionality of Daz Deals that is now gone and that let me sort out all of my wishlist into custom categories by adding hashtags in the comments section.
To me, wishlist has become unusable which means one less incentive to spend money, add that extra item to the store, and so on. I really wish DAZ would have polled their users about their preferences instead just making changes. Seriously, for a store that sells assets for software that is solely available on personal computers, what's the point in pushing for mobile optimization?
Try uncheking "hide items I own"; there may be some item you once bought but didn't got removed from the list (happens, at times).
Thank you - but like I wrote - hide items I own is unchecked ...
Looks like I will have to write a ticket. Yay ... Not!
That is another Daz Deals functionality ...
I didn't know that. It seems that DAZ should leave improvements to the wishlist (and perhaps other site functionalities) to the Daz Deals developers as they seem to get things right, functional, and actually respond to users needs...
I hate it also. No option to remove an item from your wishlist. Huge tumbnails. DAZDEALS category to list in order of percentage off is gone.
Move your mouse over the thumbnail (with their size that shouldn't be difficult LOL) and click on the heart in the upper right corner.
Sure it does, just click the blue heart. If you hover over it, it says remove from wishlist.
Use the blue heart in the upper right corner of the thumbnail.
The redo was unnecessary... the pipes in the basement are leaking badly... instead re-tile the kitchen floor again.
Whatever.
But this I think needs addressing... I'm not getting how the blue heart works.
Maybe it's a browser thing, but I figured the heart might do something so I picked an item I probably won't get to sacrifice to see if I can delete it.
I can't.
I tried clicking on the heart... it either opens the item page or it highlighted the heart, but nothing seems to change.
I reloaded the page with it highlighted and it's still there.
?...(insert emoji of confused monkey here)
I'm just funny this way, but if it were me, I'd have a little window or notation open up saying "Delete Item? Yes... No..."
Something to that effect... something so that people don't accidentally delete stuff.
Maybe?
Unless that's what is supposed to happen and it just ain't happening for me.
Also... at the the top there seems to be an option which I'm not touching... "Clear Wishlist"
Again, not touching that in case it was designed to act as a wishlist self destruct button, instantly nuking your wishlist so enemy agents don't find out what lingerie you want to put on the DAZ gorilla.
Heres a suggestion I know will be ignored... someone of authority and wisdom should make a sticky post announcement about this change so nobody accidentally does something they regret and everyone understands what features changed, were added, removed, hidden or went away to a farm upstate to run and play in a field with other features...
Nobody really likes experimenting with hidden features and unexplained icons, that's only fun when disarming time bombs in movies and occasionally at parties, not with your wishlist, because not everyone remembers everything they put there... which is kinda the purpose of the wishlist.
Stickied announcement post please?
But I'm sure that won't happen because... "because"...?
(Insert emoji of shrugging monkey here)
@McGyver : The blue heart is working for me in Chrome:
Mouse the heart over highlights it
Then click on it and the thumbnail grays
Reload the the wishlist and the item is gone
Couldn't agree more...
Easy to write the title but not easy to repeat quickly!
I don't know but I was able to wishlist "Iray OceanWorx" using Firefox 106.0.5 running on macOS Mojave (10.14.6). I have "DAZ-Deals" and "HTTPS Everywhere" extentions installed. I was able to drop it from the wishlist using the store and from the Wishlist page (after re-adding it again). So maybe it's an extention conflict or a really long delay?
I have noticed that for quite some time now there has been a several second delay between loading an item page in the store and when the Wishlist heart icon is updated.
I'm guessing you already checked and unchecked it again though so it refreshes?
If you haven't recently, might be worth doing a quick scroll through the pages (assuming you have multiple pages of items). In the past, when an item got removed from the store, sometimes you would be stuck with a blank "loading" item in the wishlist the next time you visited the page, and it would take a refresh after you see it to load. Maybe that is the reason for a difference in numbers?
I don't hate the change per say but I'd like to have ability to resize the thumbnails and hopefully also an optional list view. I'd also like to have native support to sort items by "percentage off" which is currently feature of the dazdeals, and something I use a lot.
I expected the change. It's ok. I agree with Hylas, easiest to scan my wishlist from the main store. Daz Deals plugin is essential for shopping here.
