Previous years I was able to get a lot of items I had in my wishlist since they turned out to be more than 70% off in most cases. This year none of my wishlist items are at that discount. :(
Yup, it's been getting a little silly in the past couple of years. Meanwhile, another popular store has a simple "everything 50% off" Black Friday sale, even new releases. Easy. And that's with their list prices almost always being lower than what Daz charges anyway.
It's not too bad when going through the characters and textures deals on the black friday page. Buying 3+ items from each those categories, combined with the punchcard discount, results in 84-89% discounts for me, and there definitely is a lot of stuff in those categories that I did have on my wishlist.
I suspect I know which store you mean. I agree: easy. Another one is 30% off everything over a cetain amount. Again, easy.
Those sites also have more things that I don't have and that I want, and neither has done anything to upset up (treated Europeans unfairly). So they will benefit. Sorry Daz, I really am.
Maybe the problem is I have enough characters and almost all the textures. I want glamourous outfits and hair. Maybe my time will come.
Oh, same here, but you may still find some interesting things there. I did spot some clothes between the characters (though nothing really glamorous, I admit), and some characters do come with their own hair. There are also some useful and/or fun tools hidden between the textures (like the traffic patterns script&props collection, or projection morph manager, as well as MARSA Anaglyph3D, all way cheaper than I ever saw them before). So if you can find three useful things within one of those categories, it may still be worth it.

A lack of female materials this time around wouldn't be my biggest complaint. The male and additional figures have been forgotten for far too long without a decent wardrobe, poses to show them off or textures to highlight their characters.
Just checking the Daz store and for G8F and G8.1F, there are currently 15K (approx) available items. G8M and G8.1M get 6K. And the same imbalance goes back to the legacy figures too. V4 has 3K items, M4 just 1K. So for me, it's great to see more diversity in the products available.
Top complaint from me is that I've never got enough money for everything I want and the sales end before my next payday
Anyone know when this sale runs to ? "Black Friday Weekend" could be Sunday or Cyber Monday.
The Bachelor/Bacheloretty bundle was a good deal, so I picked it up, but otherwise I'm spending my money at the other store.
If you have two days worth of punches (40% discount) the items in the catagories are a good deal with 84% discounts.
I was just going to say that. And given the recent less-than-stellar sales, getting ~80% here is a pretty great deal.
I think what some people are saying is that imagine you walk into a shoe store today and you're thinking alright I got couple of hundred bucks to spend and today is traditionally sales day, and they say "oh you would get way better sales today... if you also bought stuff here yesterday and day before that" ...

The 50% off the annual membership is a good deal. That's all I've spent money on so far. I still can't get over how much prices have increased the past couple years and how bad the sales are going on three years now.
I'm thinking that. I don't visit Daz every day like I used to, in fact it's barely once a week. I came today because it's supposed to be the day when everything is cheap. I get that rewarding regular purchases is nice, but it does seem that they forgot that this is a special day, and putting a precondition I can't meet in place today seems a little naïve.
I'm looking at my basket and I'm seriously considering not checking out. We'll see...
But now I'm thinking do I or don't I spend $30. I had, I'll give you the number, $200 to spend today and there is no way I'm spending that. No way. I'll probably need it to pay for the heating, so no bad thing!
I'm asuming, because of the world crisis, the resources for pixels and polygons are quite limited at the time.
...I suppose further to this, I could presumably increase my discount by buying something today and tomorrow, then doing the main purchase on Sunday, but I may have spent my money elsewhere by then. I'll say what I said before: I think this sale should be simple...
There is a terrible supply chain issue for cylinders right now.
I don't understand, I purchased 2 itens last week, I have right now 20% + 10% of the daily promo.
BUT I also purchased an item yesterday and today... should I wait to buy tomorrow?
I need SO MANY texture from the "Tantalizing Textures" items and they are with a good promo today. Will they repeat tomorrow? Bear in mind that I'll probably lost the 10% of today... but I'm terrified of losing the Tantalizing promo.
I mean... I'm supposed to have 40% tomorrow. (2 punches the last days)... but how about my 2 punches of the last week?? I should have tomorrow 60%........in total lol

Get 40% OFF hundreds of textures, 50% OFF* when you buy 2, or 60% OFF* when you buy 3 or more.
Well it is easy:
- You get a punch per day if you do a purchase > 2$
- You can have max 2 punches.
- Only the last two days count.
- You did a purchase yesterday and today -> you have max punches and max discount on Saturday.
- And if you use that discount on Saturday you'll have max punches/discount on Sunday as well.
And since the promo page states that the sales from prior days are still accessible throughout Black Friday weekend I would recommend that you do your big purchase tomorrow then.
But I am not DAZ, so you need to try and see yourself ;-)
