Hard to hear due to the overpowering (unnecessary) music.
Someone tell Tafi to bring their metaverse ideas to Daz Studio since VR integration would be amazing!!
Animation:
History lesson:
Metaverse:
blah Blockchain, I threw up in my mouth
Yep, the frequencies of the piano clash with the voice of the narrator, could've been fixed with an simple equalizer, or better by not using music which frequencies do not dominantly overlap with those of the human voice. Otherwise I think it's really cool piece of animation, I like it.
I'm surprised though there is no mention of NFTs, I thought Tafi's goal was to become a global leader in the NFT space, has that been side tracked?
With stuff like NFT and the Metaverse, I'd say the dumpster is where we're going.
Nice animation.
Which software was used to make this?
Unable to use a proper volume of music to keep the voice easy to be understand - fail..
Going NFT and Metaverse - losing a portion of their customerbase, who aren't interested in this developement and feeling their needs aren't filled as before, gaining some other customers who will first and foremost come with new needs they want to have filled NOW! Not sure if that will turn out as a success, as it still has to be seen if NFTs and Metaverse turn out successful in the long run. Too many hyped new ideas have flopped in the past...
Usually coming up with videos of this type marks a point in the business when something isn't going 100% as expected and a company tries to explain their recent marketing/business descisions to their sharholders/customers/possible customers to explain their "vision" to them. Often it's a sign that the vision isn't - yet? - shared between the company and those others...
haha shade but I had the same thought
Cool. All the more reason to get better with Blender, stay in my own lane and just make nice-to-me pictures.
Daz3D web dev team might want to update the Technology link and add Genesis 9 to the list of Genesis. Just sayin might want to clean the house before advertising promoting something else.
VR? Really are they going to go down that pipe dream rabbit hole? Lordy save us form those that cannot save themselves.
As interesting as totally immersive VR might be, it could be really popular among certain people. I can see the beginning of "The Matrix" happening. Just slip into your "pod", enter a personal world of fantasy, and become a slug. No haircut, no showers, no exercise, no school, no work, just fat dumb & happy. Oh, wait, we already have a group of people that fit that bill. If it weren't for pizza deliveries I think a great many gamers in the world would perish.
I actually think VR is very cool!
VR ≠ Metaverse
Agreed.
Ewwwwww lol
Metaverse?... with or without legs?
Those are purchased separately, though the left leg costs slightly more than the right leg.
Feet are an addon.
They aren't backwards compatible, so be careful which version you buy.
Foot 1.0 won't fit Leg 1.1 without some weird distortions.
Again, feet are sold separately, but left feet can be fitted to either leg.
I can't tell what their message was because they made the 'tube-noob mistake of playing canned overly loud psuedo dramatic noise over their speaker. Also, all I could think while watching the paper people move around was "wow. I hope that's not what their products look like. How about people that look like people. Oh, that tree looks kinda nice." Seems the grandeur of their artistic vision failed on me.
I didn't get the message either... They think we have been using DS and the assets all these years, just waiting for the moment to be able to create virtual avatars for metaverse?... Why and for what?
Because the Metaverse, for Metaverse, so you can Metaverse in the Metaverse...
Metaverse.
Yeah... That phase in my development passed almost five decades ago... Maybe I'm just getting old...
Isn't the history of Daz basically them repeatedly trying to branch out of 3D content sales or ways to repurpose the existing assets and failing?
The huge problem is, Daz assets are designed and work best when using and rendering in Daz Studio and are unfit for basically any other purpose. "How Many Times Do We Have to Teach You This Lesson, Old Man?"
I find it interesting that not one identifiable DAZ asset was used in cresting the video. Oh, maybe it's a preview of the new greatly improved Genesis 10 (just kidding)
I'm guessing that DS wasn't used to do the animation either because there were no sliding feet. It seems rather odd to me to do a 3D animated video about the History of DAZ 3D, yet not use one identifiable product from DAZ 3D.
I'm not sure what the nice lady said, but I'm thrilled with the information presented in the video.
So Daz is going low-poly with no texturing? Yay!
Where we were: getting lured into purchasing stuff.
Where we're headed: getting persuaded into purchasing even more stuff.
Now, in all fairness I need to stress out that I've pretty much always been happy about my purchases and the few times I wasn't... Daz support had my back!
But let's not kid ourselves here...
@RobotHeadArt
LOL!!
However to be fair Genesis 8 along ,with diffeo exporter to Blender, is quite useful for getting decent figure meshes into Blender for animation as long as you replace the Daz rig with a proper human IK control rig from Autorig pro or Rigify
I did but I sent all the money to XP-Pen and they sent me a really wonderful 24" tablet monitor. Nothing left for Daz stuff.
We're only it in for the ride, and the money, says DAZ/Tafi, or whoever this all is. The history, the path, the ride, has been really great up to a couple years ago when it seemed the money part became more in focus. I really enjoyed the new character, new generation of models. The early years we great. What kind of staled me a bit was when it became a frenzy to remake and rebuy a lot of stuff. I guess that is a necessary deal though considering they're giving us a program, DAZ Studio. Was that talked about in the video? I don;t think so but it was most difficult to year the narrator.
