Mermaid, love the two versions. I think the first one is nicer. If you could get that caustic effect you have in the background in number two in a more muted form also in the background in version 1, it might fit even better.

adbc: very clever! I like your render too.

Very nice second one, S Ray

My first one is an underwater render, using the Environment beneath the waves from David and Horo. I added some free submarine, the Alien Greyling flying saucer, a couple of free plants and a shoal of very low poly fish (also free). I am not completely happy with the render yet, so I might redo it.

Picture is in my next contribution (I hope).

Hansmar thank for you comment and suggestion, I give it another go and see what I can come up with, we have ample time with this challenge. Your underwater see is superb.

It's so strange I saw Hansmar's image, I think like the time when Horo saw mine and then it disappeared. I hope they fix this problem.

    cant see it too, hansmar....

  • HansmarHansmar Posts: 2,929

Oh dear. I do not want to put it in the gallery, where others can see it. I could not get it in the gallery without publishing it, so I used my Google photos. I saw it when I made it, but now I cannot see it either. What a disaster this issue is.

I now tried via Onedrive too. It looks like it puts the picture up for a flash and then it is gone again. I have no clue how to show something now.

Here is a new attempt. And now it looks like it is there. Hopefully it will stay up. It is from my unpublished pages of my gallery, so outside of the contest, it should be not visible.

Once again I can see your beautiful entry Hansmar, well done.

Hansmar - well done entry. If you do not want to upload during the working time 6 PM to midnight Utah time (2 to 8 Europe) but use the gallery, the important part is to save it without publishing. There are several posts in the Common forum that mention this - and now also S_Ray explains it here in the Bryce forum.

    Mermaid, Horo, ed3D, thank you.

New try to get something 'in the picture'. I made a second entry, which is an abstract. There is just one sphere, a cube and a series of lights, using one of the caustics pictures from David and Horo as gel.

Hansmar : now I can see your first entry, which is wonderful, the second one is fascinating and a very original idea. Both are very well done.
