    Thank you. I couldn't decide between the too. I like the soft feel of the first one, but the other one feels more like a retro illustration that feels great for steampunk.

    I second that! This is a thread that should be alive with many a great renders! New releases get their spotlights in the DO-dedicated threads or the new release thread, so let's put some spotlights on older but still wonderful products!

    I also used the new PT Brilliant Evolution HDRI Lighting, but I'm not sufficiently confident about my use of lighting kits to list them. I usually use Sun-Sky, but, well, not a lot of sun here.

    I'm trying to do more feel good bright and airy renders. Here's a cheerful robit.

    New to me - Abandoned home sweet home, foliage maker on the balustrade, also used cyborg gen 8 and what looks like a big gun but is really a rainbow generator.

    paulawp You manage to use so many new things in one go! smiley That Secret Underground Base is a cool setting. Makes me think of James Bond. smiley

    No vintage set experiment from me, since I got AA's Saree today and just had to try it out! It's for G9, but I wanted to know whether it'd work okay with G8. Autofitting with MMX's clones still leaves it with some kinks that remain even after a dForce simulation, but it's not too bad considering the complexity of the outfit. If I'm doing a series of renders, I'd probably just work with G9 to use this. It's lovely!

    Lately, I've been buying scripts and some older items since I am not doing G9 much at all. The first of these is a test render including clothing (Practice Sweater & Skirt) from Lady Littlefox's Art of Ballet V4 sets, which I grabbed during Daz Anniversary's V9 Birthday promo for under $4. The clothing was converted with RSSY Generation 4 to G3 Converter, which is wonderful. I then autofitted to my cyberpunk doctor G8F character, Angel al-Isaaq. I got a good fit using only D/S autofit and minimal tweaking with the clothing fit morphs added by the converter scripts.

    The second render, which is a full WIP, I tried out 1 of Riversoft Art's Bone Minions, https://www.daz3d.com/bone-minion-for-genesis-3-poses-for-genesis-8-and-81. Here the good doc is on a date which seems to be going well. Her date is https://www.daz3d.com/awan-hd-for-michael-7 (PA sale), mixed with Lee7. I had to tweak just a hand after posing Angel with the Bone Minion. Awan/Lee's clothing is https://www.daz3d.com/hardcore-m4 converted, which also didn't need much tweaking.

    Speaking of which, I've updated the thread to now include any of the sales in November, alongside the DAZ+ annual sale. 

    If anyone has any further suggestions for how we continue on with this thread and keep ourselves inspired to use all the stuff we buy, please do share! Do we keep the current format of including buys from the current and previous major sales, or a blanket 'previous 2 months' of buys, or also add something a little additional?

    For example, we can have a few special ongoing additional challenges for this thread for when the mood strikes... You can tag your post if you're taking on one of the additional challenges. Depending on what we decide, I'll update the first post with that info too, so we have it all in one place. Here's one idea:

    • Regular challenge:
      • #RenderYourBuys Use at least 1 item in your render that you've bought in the current or previous major sale.
    • Additional challenges:
      • #4New Use at least 4 things from your libary in your render that you've never used before (regardless of date of purchase)
      • #AllNew Use only things from your library in your render that you've never used before (regardless of date of purchase) (Mainly goes for characters and sets and clothing etc. If you have one main lighting set that you use for everything, that's no problem.)

    Please do share your thoughts, suggestions or ideas here, so we can keep ourselves inspired and keep the renders coming! heart
