I'm getting these constant cookie popups all thew time here now, but other stores work without problems, so it's all fine.

Yes, the Cookie Preferences pop-up is still there on Daz Shop pages and Forum pages, but seems to come and go on Windows 10 Edge browser. Lately, it seems as if adding items to the Cart triggers it for me. I'm not sure why the Daz web team doesn't look back at the web code from last month when the cookie setting was working properly to fix the current dysfunctional code.

The other problem with purchased items still showing product thumbnails for sale, is continuing.

For example, on today's Memorial Day Grab Bag, I have "Hide Items I Own" checked, and the "Great White and Megalodon" product thumbnail still shows the "Add to Cart" button, even though I purchased it yesterday.

I hope the Daz web team can get all the shop problems straightened-out as it is making the shopping experience frustrating. If they don't fix the store by the end of the week, I'm going to halt my purchases for awhile, and hopefully when I come back, the store will be functioning properly again.

  • It is a conspiracy so that you can't really select "Decline All" for the cookie setting.

I agree with the other comments that said using this site is so frustrating.

    For Chrome on Android:

    1. Click the icon to the left of the web address (two lines with circles).

    2. Click "Cookies and site data".

    3. Click the trash icon to delete cookies for this website.

    4. Login to Daz and select your cookie preferences when prompted.

That should fix the problem, at least until Daz screws with things again, and it should leave your other website preferences and logins intact.
Are y'all doing the above? The process is similar for Firefox, except the icon in the address bar is shaped like a lock instead.

For Opera, it seems to be possible but just a bit more involved: Tools > Delete Private Data > Advanced > Manage cookies... > select Daz folder > Delete.

If using another browser, just run a quick web search for instructions. For example:

"safari how to delete cookies for single site"

I agree that Daz should fix the problem, but so far, clearing cookies has resolved the issue each time for me. Maybe it's different on various systems, but try it at least, if you haven't.

I came to cheer the staff as the cookie preferences banner was gone. Once I entered the forums it came back instantly. Boooooo. Booooooo. *for Simpsons fans Booooourns....."  So anyone taking bets about when the error will be fixed? I bid a thousand quatloos. I'll say by July first.

It's difficult to fix if one doesn't know what to fix and where.

I haven't seen the cookie popup for maybe two weeks, not at work (W10+Chrome) nor at home (W7+Opera).

Anyone else starting to get a flood of Daz adverts when they visit other websites?  It's just started recently for me and I have a feeling it's connected to this cookie banner - even tho I didn't  click the accept button

The cookie setting is for this site, the ads are provided by a third-party (e.g. Google ads) and not governed by Daz.

Sigh. Okay, I'm going to be straight with some facts.  Due to this silly banner problem I've been super annoyed. So much so it's prompted me not to spend money here. I can speak for myself. Just this week, Daz has lost over $60 worth of sales from me this week alone. It lost sales money from me last week too. I'm not rich. I'm a hobbyist who spends too much on his hobbies. I usually check Daz daily and spend a little bit of money daily, and on some days quite a lot of money. If I were involved, I'd at least have implimented a user option to turn off the banner from occurring every day, in every window. Sometimes it occurs twice in one page. You scroll down to remove the banner, then add an item to your cart and the banner has returned. Remove an item from your cart, the banner returns. I cannot tell you how annoying this problem has been. It's gone on for about a solid month. We are about to enter June. I would say since my visit today, I've had the banner about 20 times just in today's interactions. Scroll up. Scroll all the way down. It's an extra step just to properly display the cart as you check out. This issue needs to stop. You've gotten people to choose their cookie preferences in the first week it appeared. So why do you need it everyday on every page? It's like spyware advertising in that it's constant. Please, please, please fix this problem. I'm not angry. I'm getting full of apathy. There are other places that take my money without so much extra trouble. If you make it more annoying I won't even bother checking here daily. I won't spend money here regularly. I'm not say this as a threat. I normally enjoy shopping here. I want to shop here but you are making it very, very difficult. I'll say please again. Either fix the problem, or add a check box to the banner to halt it from popping up again. Thank you and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I've removed an item from my cart but it's page when refreshed still shows as being in my cart.

On my iPad I keep seeing the site cookies settings box asking me to set my preferences... and I still can't see the orange banner... it gets stuck up behind black and blue page header... there's a gap between the header and the thread title which was where the ads were and apparently that was what was causing the orange banner to be pushed up...

I thought websites only needed these kind of consent boxes when they supported ads. Since DAZ (at least for now) are not publishing ads on any pages of the website, then surely they can get rid of this annoying consent box too?

On Chrome I get it all the time, although it will disappear for a day or so occassionally. Does not matter if I accept or reject, the box pops up with every page. So far I have not had the problem using Opera.

Not exactly, no. You're not consenting to ads, but to your information being shared with a third party. While Daz is not displaying ads (for the time being), it is still sharing that information with three major ad providers that use it to display targeted ads to you on other sites.

(For example, the fact that you're browsing this store tells those companies that you're interested in 3D topic - so you'll be shown more 3D related ads on other sites.)

So getting rid of the box alltogether would be very problematic, since it would no longer allow you to opt-out of your information being tracked and handed over to those ad companies.

So still broken. Sigh. This is outright insulting to customers.

This morning I was inundated and chased away in the store. What in the world is going on?! I already can't look at the forums on my iPad anymore, and now it is back on my iMac? With an AdBlock in place. If I say more, I will break forum rules.
