The headdresses worn by women were often smaller and less elaborate than those worn by men but were still considered a significant and honored part of their attire.
Last line in my statement.
The Sioux, Crow, and Blackfoot tribes, to name a few, allowed women to wear headdresses. My Grandmother had a headdress, but it was nothing like that—much smaller—about half the size of my Grandfather's, which still wasn't near the size of the headdress in the bundle.
Loved your character mixes, especially this one - but who's Aury? I couldn't find her in the store. The mix looks so gorgeous, I'd love to recreate it. Could you let me know? Cheers!
Thanks - I've found Nexara is great for mixing - not my style at 100% but adds a lot of interest for characters.
Thankyou! Aury is https://www.daz3d.com/cgi-aury-for-genesis-9 - although I picked her up at Rendo a while back. However, the pic you quoted is Helena (https://www.daz3d.com/mw-helena-for-genesis-9), if that's what you were looking to recreate. (They're each in my gallery with links to used products).
Thanks @stelari, that's excellent, I actually have Helena as well! Found and liked your render in the gallery. I really like the lighting as well, I gotta say, it's clear but not harsh - very nice. Gives a lot of actual character to the character, so to speak.
A question about her height (5' 4" / 162.6 cm): did Daz get it right (it would not be the first time the announced height was wrong) ? Can someone check or do a render with Cheyenne and another Genesis 9 figure (even the base one) ?
Looks about right at a quick test.
The great thing about her being 5'4" is that , if you don't like it, you can always change it. Multiple ways.
There is really nothing about this character that says Native American to me. And the outfits are, well...let's just say I wouldn't insult a real Native American by putting that on even a virtual one.
Thank you
