The first is an example of what I'm calling high-end, and the second is an example of what I see on the L.A. metro shows. The third is for your alternate set for a typical morning show. We have needed something like this for a long time, as the only options currently available are prohibitively costly .obj or old poorly constructed Poser sets. Thanks for your time.

Sure, they don't look particularly complicated, i'll whip up a few different concepts based on those styles in a few days. Obviously it's a bit tricky to do exact duplicates because i don't want to get into trouble, but i'll get as close as possible.

At the moment, i'm not happy with some of the props (like the cameras) so i'm running them through high poly sculpts and hard surface caging. Once they're done, along with the desk options, i'll pop up some final renders.

Thank you so much for reworking the props; the more expensive the geometry looks, the better it will be for us users. When I look at the Iray textures Jack Tomalin did for West Park Treatment Room, I get visions of Stonemason in my head. If there is any way you can get the surface appearances comparable to that, your sales should exponentially increase. Thanks for your attention to detail. It always pays off in the end.

    The News Room: Cancelled

Hey guys, as you've probably seen on the front page, I13 has released a news room set very similar to mine - Great minds think alike eh? Not to worry, i have something else very close to completion, which will be passed to daz soon. As for my news set, i'll probably retro-fit it to do something else, or use the props in another pack. I might even finish it up and offer it out as a freebie, we'll see.

If it's any consolation, I've just bought the Bastion.  Archmage Serena, posterior-kicker in chief of the sisterhood of scientist-magicians the Future Mages, has expressed an interest in throwing a Huge Evil Mechanoid off the balcony to see how many bits it shatters into when it hits the floor.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Thanks alex, i appreciate your efforts to cheer me up, but i can only feel sorrow for that poor, poor Mechanoid.

  • I think it would be nice to have more than one option since not all newsrooms look the same.  While I like Ironman13 products and will probably buy it at some point, I liked render above of your set, too, and can see adding it to my library as well.  I think they were different enough to have competing newsrooms.  I really liked the curvy design of your main screen behind the desk and the overall look of the set.  Anyway, don't totally scrap it as it looks great.  I don't know what the folks at DAZ would say about it, I think giving the customers more options is a good thing.

I mean....there is 18897352 types of bras and panties in the store, options are definitely nice. Maybe release it as a set later?

Thanks for your support guys, i'll get it out there in some way or another, even if i have to give it away for free. I'll speak to daz and see what my options are.

Following my earlier threat, here is a render of the fearsome Archmage Serena, of the Future Mages, terminating a Huge Evil Mechanoid with extreme predjudice.  I think it's about to discover that gravity and kinetic energy are not your friends when you've just been thrown off a high balcony.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    GastroPub & Beer Garden:

Nothing flashy about this pack, just your average british gastropub with a beer garden at the back and rear parking. The pub comes with partial interiors for more realistic exterior shots, and plenty of props to fill your scene. I've left the promotional work a bit late this time, it should be with the daz team either today or early tomorrow. If there are any last minute requests, let me know.

Note: I'm still tinkering with shading and textures, so this image below is very much subject to change.

The intention was an exploding energy bolt effect. Archmage Serena is not known for her gentle approach to dealing with homicidal robots intent on mayhem and destruction.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    Looks Great,

is this Outdoors only or does it include the inside also?

There are interiors but they are only meant for exterior shots through the windows. The number of textures, material zones and polys are getting high as it is, and a full bar scene would easily double it. If enough people like the pack though, i could do an accompanying interior bar scene based on the buildings architecture.

Kudos to you! This is excellent! Perfect for the end of Northern Terrace Street where my mates meet up for Guiness and Kilkenny.

Cheers max. Yep, it's fully compatible with northern terrace, in-fact i'll probably include it with my promos. I'll upload a few renders later that shows the beer garden etc.

If you do make an interior, don't forget the dart board and oche.  No pub is complete without those imo.

I suppose it wouldn't be complete without sky sports!

Anway, just dropping in to leave a render of the beer garden. If i can stay awake, it will be with daz this evening - just have to rig the doors crying

That is definitely a British pub,  just judging by the puddle in the beer garden

Aye. Normally at this time of the year we would be covered in the white stuff, but this year we have seen very little of it at all, getting puddles instead; although Derek the Weather has forecast that we may get some snow this weekend on higher ground, and as we are at around 1200ft I think that should mean us.

I live right on the north west coast, so i never see any snow :( Last sighting of the white stuff was about 4 years ago. On the other hand, we never get floods which is a bonus.

We used to live in Richmond Surrey, and saw very little snow usually.  We moved up here on 16th January 2009 and lo and behold in Febuary we got a prolonged period of heavy snow to welcome us to Wales. This was what we saw when we opened our back door

3 years since we had snow in Oxford (that lasted past lunchtime, anyhow)

That's the price of going to wales. That and getting lost... getting lost a lot.

    GastroPub & Beer Garden:

The gastropub's with daz, should be with you within the next few weeks. I think i'm a bit late for march madness, but i'll be in amongst the madness, just keep your peepers open. Anway, best grab a pint and wait for this all to blow over.

One more render for good luck:

I wonder what this would look like with a two metre tall Amazon warrior  and her dragon sidekick parked in front of it?

    Cheers,

    Alex.
