Hi
Having problems with todays "WISH-AND-GET" Coupon. It worked on the "Current" items when I first put them in my cart, But when i went to pay it was only working on the "legacy" items (I had no "recent" items in the cart).
Is is supposed to be just for one type?
It's currently working only for one selection at a time, which is likely a bug because the coupon is usable once per customer.
If you're not in a hurry, it's best to wait for Daz to change something but I don't know how long you'll have to wait: some problem can be fixed by the small standby crew currently awake, other require full team on board and in that case, it'll likely have to wait for them to wake up in a couple of hours.
Hard Pass for me.
1.Way too many items for me to bother looking through for hearts. Again. Seriously, most every sale for months has included a variant of current/recent/legacy tier deals. At least with the previous ones, you could go to your WL & see if they were in a selection by the % off.
2. These overly-complex promos make me less interested in buying.
3. Once more I see reports the codes don't work, which guarantees I won't buy.
WISH-FOR-NEW-STUFF can be stacked with two other avalible banners as long as you wishlisted them prior to today.
Not mind blowing but it can make banner items more attractive if anyone was after any.
I don't think "just" is a fair word to use here when the 3-tiered section alone amounts to 250+ pages. Even being generous and saying it takes 30 seconds per page of 120, that's over 2 hours of scrolling... which not only is absurd to expect in its own right, but today is the day before a major holiday. A lot of folk have preparations of one sort of another to do.
This is a beautiful example how to make an offer that is useless. Daz can claim that they made a good wishlist offer that stacks, but there's no way to stack it easily, because previous days' featured artists only discount once in the cart. Which means that if you want a stacking discount, you have to compare different selections of items (Wishlist selection and featured artists).
But hey, 80%, 70%, and 60% off extra looks sooo good, especially when you ensure that your customers can't effectively use it as extra.
Seriously, I don't know who was the marketing genius who thought it was a good idea to make shopping more difficult. Especially in the week when everyone and their dog have great offers because it's Thanksgiving and Black Friday. If a store doesn't make it easy to shop, people are simply going to go elsewhere with their money.
....and from a glance, a lot of the items are either base price (so it's not really "extra") or low discount.
"Thankful for your wishlist"... I'd like to be thankful for a sale that isn't a pain in the rear.
With the Free Addon you don't need to look for the heart, you can filter. But still, so many different lists, is a complete mess. Conflicting coupon codes, another horrible deal for the gift card requiring purchase for a mere 10% off.
I was even willing to sub one month premier if there was a chance to decent discounted giftcard and opportunity to build tokens. Mon & Tue for double tokens are gone, the gift card is too expensive. Subscribing now would be a huge gamble then, not willing to risk it. I may loose an actual good deal this weekend? so be it. I preffer a missed oportunity than wasting money.
Does WISH-AND-GET sale not apply to items already on sale?
My items meets the described criteria...
*Items must be found in your Wishlist prior to NOV 27.
Cannot be used to discount items already owned.
Coupon Code usable once per customer.
But the "An extra 60% off Up to 5 Current Items" isn't being applied to items from the Shop Now list if they are already on Sale.
Example: I added Norba the Orc to my cart but the discount isn't being applied despite the item meeting all the criteria.
This is a nightmare, valued customers shouldn't be expected to jump through hoops while sucking peanut butter through a straw just to take advantage of a sale.
I do see an extra discount on Norba when I try the coupon with it.
What else is in your cart? From what I've read in the sales error thread there's currently a problem if you have items from several of the categories the coupon is supposed to be applied to.
That is likely the issue, as I do have two other items from a different category in my cart. Thank you for pointing this out. I'll wait for a resolution. :)
Just skip this sale, No need to spend effort browsing hundreds of pages of catalogs.
Can I assume that the real Black Friday & Thanksgiving sales haven’t started yet?
Given the record of the last week or so the the "pre-Black Friday sales", I wouldn't hold my breath for either if I were you.
I'm looking forward to getting some deals on my WL items so I hope they get the coupons sorted soon.
its really convoluted and overly difficult. My 12 tokens expire today so was hoping for something good. This, not so much, especially with so many categories that each require a code, and the fact most of the products have no initial discount. Now with my being a base subscriber, getting tokens is a real chore and a lot of cash needs to be spent. So yeah, there is a huge advantage in pricing being a member.
Huh, I actually thought the 'wish for new' coupon was really nice and not complicated, it got me some very recent things that I very much wanted for a very decent price. I mean c'mon folks, PAs gotta make SOME money at least, I don't think it would be fair to expect brand-new items to go down to 70% off or somesuch. Right?
Considering that there's hundreds or thousands of products in those sales scrolling through the list(s) looking for tiny yellow hearts might take a bit too long for the average customer. We asked for the option to sort by wishlist for as long as I am a customer here. And no, having to use a outside product doesn't help.
Nobody says that PAs shouldn't earn, and nobody's complaining new items should be 90% off or something.
It's about how this sale is convoluted and it is complicated when you want to stack it with something (because other sales, like featured artists from the previous days, only discount in the cart) or don't use Daz-Deals to sort through your wishlist. If you're happy with what you got at the base discounts, that's great, really. But the fact remains that the sale, though it allows stacking, is making it really difficult to stack anything. And it uses a coupon code, so members can't use their own codes.
Edit: I just saw that you're talking specifically about "wish for new" part, and this is not the one people are complaining about from what I can see (myself included).
I agree that the "wish for new" coupon was a nice surprise, there were some recent items I was interested in and the extra discount was more than welcome.
Me too. I just picked four items wishlisted from recent days so still with their 30% off "new" discount, and got them for 71% off with 8 tokens. I had several tokens expiring today anyway, so now I will have tokens good until well into December.
ETA: If you have wishlisted "Rocket" items, you can finagle stacking discounts across "wish for new", "Rocket" and "still new" from the "Rocket" page. So it ended up being 79% off for the wishlisted items I had from the "Rocket" day page, which is still up.
That one is actually good. If it had been available mon/tue for double token and triggered at least a 20% GF discount, i would had sub and purchased.
That one looks pretty decent if you've wishlisted something from the last couple days (anything new-ish on mine has fallen off the initial discount, so I'd only be getting the 40% off generally). It's the "wish and get" one higher up I have an issue with.
Edit: Also have an issue with the fact that, yet again, it's a sale that renders the monthly coupons useless.
Shopping is supposed to be fun for me.
But this year its not, quite the contrary.
On these sale categories I can't filter for categories like characters, hair or clothing.
I just feel like I have to scroll trough massive amounts of products, none of them I'm interested in buying,
just to find something discounted I actually want to buy.
I don't know what changed exactly.
Its just how I feel when shopping on the daz store, my user/customer experience.
I'm not sure when it started to be like this, maybe half a year ago or something. I really don't know.
Is there a way to pick a sale, and cross it with one's wishlist to see which products apply?
DAZ Deals browser addon allows you to open the products in a category then select wislist items only. Its a great browser extension. Doesn't work i all browsers though. Saves tons of time.
Just happened to open DIM and there is an offer for 65% off "Grateful" featured artists.
I let my 3 tokens expire Monday when I planned to use them (when I usually just ignore them) because nothing suited me pricewise, and I actually am (still but probably not long term) a member.
I have the banner too, but upon clicking, it leads to Kai and Koa page: https://www.daz3d.com/surfs-up-with-kai-and-koa?, and I guess it isn't intentional?
