Seems to me tf you all don't want politics on the forum you wouldn't put politicians in the store.

So many times I wish the forum had a like button. Also... Wish there was a rating and review system for products in the store from those who purchased.

    That's not on the ballot.

Like others have said, I too find the product unappealing, political as a matter of fact, as well as how it is presented -and hypocritical to not allow discussion of a product sold on this site. Bad form, Daz.

...,maybe we could petition to get it added  along with a "like" button for the forums as its running mate..

While we can appreciate the sentiment/potential frustration, many items in the store are offered (in whole or in part) that may not be allowed to be used in certain ways per the TOS on Daz 3D website. Examples would be that full nude textures are offered, but you cannot render full nudes. Anatomical Elements are also offered, again, you cannot post the renders on Daz 3D. There are also some sets that lend themselves to various religions as well, but they too may not be allowed in certain renders or used as a license to discuss the general topic of religion. The items are offered for those who may wish to use them and with the realization that Daz 3D is not the only website on the internet and people have interests that may not be conducive to discussion on this website but are topics often discussed elsewhere.

If there was a rating and review system it would immediately turn into a vendor popularity contest, with little regard to the product being 'reviewed'.

I think it's important to recognise that 3D characters are not real people, although they may resemble them, so what a 3D character is portrayed as doing does not imply that the real person would do the same thing.

Why do both characters need the Genesis 9 Essesntials Expansion?  I don't have it yet.

every new released character now is based on the genesis 9 base with very few exceptions mostly those migrated from other store/s but other than that every new character released you'll need g9 essentials at least luckily it's free and you should have it unless your using an old version of Daz Studio still

She wasn't asking about G9 Essentials, but the Essentials Expansion, the requirement of which implies some things I'm not thrilled about.

It could be using some of the textures included in that set, for example for eyebrows, eyelashes or eyes.

The fact that the standard Daz licence does not place any restrictions on the nature of a user's renders would make the community a complete cess pit if all valid uses of the content were permitted to be posted.

I may not always agree with where the community limits are put, but I'm very grateful that we are in the situation that the content and community limits are in different places, as if they weren't, we'd either have limited freedom or be constantly wading through people's shock art.

I just looked again at https://www.daz3d.com/old-joey-hair-for-genesis-9 and after reading the ReadMe and listed files I am still unsure what type of hair this is. There is like four versions of it and of course, no idea who was the artist who did it. If this isn't strand-base hair, why isn't it? It is perfect for that style. Fine, thin hair flies up all the time, unless you use hairspray.

Or am I missing something? Does anyone have it can examine it for what type it is, transmapped or strand?

I was thinking of buying it, but now? I believe I have a similar hair, unfortunately it is https://www.daz3d.com/unforgettable-fiber-content-for-unforgettable-hd which was slapped with an Editorial License. That is a fiber hair. I still can't see why it had that license though. Those are styles are common.

I really wish there would be more care on the promos to indicate what type of hair is being offered. Some artists do a great job and help me make an informed decision, but leaving off basic data is like something is being hidden.

It looks like a great bundle; the opponents are very well modelled. You can have a lot of fun with it - if you are not too fanatical. At first I was a little shocked when I saw the topic, but then I realised that Daz gave the whole thing a lighter and more cheerful touch.

Most likely because the hair was specifically made for "Unforgettable" character which has EL.

Good question about Old Joey hair, I'd be interested in the answer too.

sorry my mistake I've got that myself but don't think I paid that much when released

Presumably there were some launch-day promotions, and according to Daz Deals it's been as low as $7.56 in the last month.

Not interested in getting that extra elements.  Don't know of any use I have for that,

There are many eyebrows, eyelashes and eyes options in the expansion pack, not just the anatomical elements.

Yes, this set is well worth it if you're going to be using Genesis 9 seriously because quite a few of the official DAZ Genesis 9 characters do not come with a lot of eye color options these days. The variety of fibermesh brows included is excellent as well.

It would be interesting to have like/dislike buttons. I have wondered how some items fair in the store and appreciate those features on other Art sites..like how many downloads you have, etc.  ..not sure how that would pan out though, in the big picture, but I would welcome some sort of rating system.

This set is a "DAZ Original" of political figures, Its not that creating this bundle in and of itself is the problem for me (and I agree that DAZ did good presenting it Neutral and fun-in spite of the fact that some of us are feeling worn out), ...however, Its the control surrounding the products.. i.e... no talking, and then no posting due to the editorial license.  What "can" I do with them?

Why would I want them then?  I considered buying  just the bobbleheads but you have to buy the Editorial figure as well.  Does anyone know if you could use the bobble heads with other characters and NOT the Editorial Licensed Joey and Donnie?

  • I saw these figures and thought WTAF? What is DAZ doing?

On the one hand, I completely understand people who want to keep politics out of their creative zone, but on the other hand, I think of all the satirical stuff that can be done with this and all the stress/anxiety relief those works might generate.

And in my very humble opinion, I think the characters look really great, among the best G9 chars I have seen so far I think - I don't have much time to render atm, in my free time I work mostly on a fairly big game in UE (UE4.27 to be precise, it's taking forever lawl...) and I'm not using G9, but a few years back I would have bought bundles likes these two for sure to make some satirical stuff.

That is a very generous discount and coupon, thank you Richard and DAZ. I am absolutely keeping them and might be the only one in these discussions that was very pleased with this release.

** actually there might be an issue with the code, the description says it is good until Sunday, but the expiration date appears to be tomorrow. Oh and has the store credit been applied? Not showing up here yet.  Anyway, still very thankful.  :)  **

    No coupon, no code......

I too have no coupon or code or discount. Is it just for US customers? And my Orders section still records a standard license.

Thanks for the message: no email, no message (from Daz); no credit I can see and the code for discount is accepted but not applied to the cart. So far not working for me at least, unless I am doing something wrong.

You're welcome. Sounds like they've missed your order for some reason. Maybe put a ticket in? I used the coupon yesterday, worked like a normal coupon.
