I don't have a need for this, I don't know what I would do with it...but I want it. ;) That really looks like one of the more fascinating and original products I've seen here in a while.

I agree, she's a really interesting character.
Who - what?

Agree, looks great.
I think some people are going to buy this and, years later, they're going to regret not buying a frosted glass shader instead.
Nah...don't think so. Have never been sorry I've gotten any of Mechasar's figures...always beautifully done and great to work with. Get a frosted glass shader as well if you want -- won't replace this. :)
Whereas I'm buying her just for the surfaces. (Facially, she's the same as Gladys or Beverly, both of whom I already own; Mechasar likes that moonpie face a lot, and so do I, but I already own it twice.)
I own a bunch of frosted glass shaders but they're not right for this, and I own an even larger bunch of slime/goo shaders, Iray, subsurface, you name it ... most of which I find unconvincing. A lot of PAs whose work I otherwise trust a great deal have shoaled on these particular rocks. The only person whose goo surfaces tend to actually look properly gooey/slimy are ... Mechasar's, now that he has updated the Slime Attack materials for Iray. So that's a point in favor here.
Mind you, if you don't do the kind of weird stories that tend to have things like goo women in them ... I would have to say this is definitely a kit with a niche audience. I am in that niche.
Another agreed.
Thank you all, I’m very pleased you like her!
Well... I know it could appear as a mundane piece due to the near absence of textures, but I can assure you there’s a huge amount of work behind this character, regarding her shapes, all her hidden morphs that can make her seem "gummy" (for 3 different genesis models), and the making of her hair was a true challenge. Anyway, I think the essence of this piece is not only in the right game of tranlucency, the main stuff is in her shapes :)
I think she looks awesome! I'm thinking gummie people. A whole new race! Now she needs a mate. *HINT, HINT*
Well, I didn't know there was an entire genre of this. Nor did I know you were a specialist in this area. I can appreciate all of the passion involved, and I'm convinced your goo is more premium than others for the people who understand it. And I like the shape of the character quite a bit.
Love it and Love the promos too - Well done!!!
...she'd really work well for an old superhero character I developed years ago..
Yes, and may I especially say 'thank you' for the 'how my skin works' slide. As someone who's still trying to get a handle on how all this functions (with varying degrees of success) having it spelled out like you did was great, and the formatting with the dial pictures bypassed my brain's tendency to bluescreen when I'm faced with a text list of definitions (or more frequently, documentation that just says "you can adjust stuff by using X, Y, Z" and assumes I know what each does).
The first thing I looked for on the product page was if there were any promos showing human skin. The character package as a whole is lovely, it's just that I probably don't have need for a gummy creature. But the shape caught my interest as it looks like it would be very useful in other applications. Definitely not just a shader on any old character - a lot of work has gone into this product.
I came to Daz around about when G9 dropped, so I'm glad to see a G9 Mechasar product. Mechasar has some of the most striking G8 era characters and creatures that I haven't bought because I try to be G9 first when it comes to figures.
I don't think so, what got me was the classic Rubenesque shape, not the shader.
Here's a quick demo of Lady Goo shape adjusting and materials mixing, to make her more human

I just tried her with different poses and light setups, as there are often weird spots with translucent characters if parts of their body are "stacked/in line", like arms/hands in front of the body or even just with the eyeballs. But she looked very nice in any setup, even the hair had no weird spots with backlights and stuff. Beautiful character!
i'd buy her straight away if there was a shader that worked on your fantastic creations!
I don't see the picture Mechasar.
I did go and get the character though, if just for the shaders.
That, and I bought up a good chunck of your store as well, seeing things were on sale.
I hope the previous picture didn't violate any forum guideline somehow... :/ Now I loaded a new version of it.
Looks good! She is very cute.
;) She can already have a mate by using the Genesis 9 model and some of the morphs included in https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-9-body-shapes
Me, immediately on seeing the image: Oh, hey, Gladys' surfaces and Matilda hair!
I think I have been doing this too long. (It doesn't hurt that I really really love Gladys and have to avoid overusing her.)
By the way, there's a goo girl render (from the back only, I'm afraid) over in the "render your buys" thread that I posted yesterday.
Having some fun with the colors. :)
What type of shader are you looking for?
This character has its own, but I am not sure what I can offer or already did. Are you talking about something in special?
Thank you!
Cool pic. Where'd you get the Federation uniforms? If not here, you can sitemail me if you don't mind to avoid issues with violations or some such thing.
Yeah but ... eh hem ... he is gender neuter.
