A few more of mine...
OH BOY!! My kind of thread, I'll have to play a bit in this one. I'll try to do a new one or two, I've got a Primitives thing I'm working on. I also have some Dino's I've yet to render. >Insert a cool evil Grin here<</p>
WOW! That is some very sweet Pulpy goodness there. Have you ever thought of doing these as book covers? They are absolutely outstanding!
I grew up watching dinosaur movies, Ray Harryhausen stuff, and reading Xenozoic Tales. Anything with dinosaurs and gals in fur bikinis and i was all over it. I think you can see the influence in my work hehehe.
Never really thought about book covers. A problem I have always had when it comes to my artwork, hand drawn, computer generated, paint, sculpted or what ever, none of it seems that special to me, i feel like absolutely anyone can do what I do. So its kinda hard to market your self as a much needed commodity when in side you feel like anyone and their brother could do the exact same thing. I should probably get my self an agent, let them sell my work and let me just make art.
Here are a couple a did long time ago...
Here's one
I've got to install that stuff...got the one bundle a while back but never installed it.
Here are a couple old ones from me

Gotta hate when they get inside...
Wow, my kinda thread!
Here is an old one from carrara
T-rex is going to catch that dude like popcorn
Here are a couple of quick renders I did trying out Dimension Theory's new HDR Pro-Sets (originally posted in the dedicated thread).
It just so happens I was doing a dino render because I wanted to play with the stuff I picked up at Rendo during Dinoraul's 40% off sale. I'm calling it "Tastes Like Chicken".
what dinos did you get? i picked up the compsagnathus
I picked up the Ornitholestes, the Kaprosuchus and his tree set. The two running guys in this render are the Ornitholestes. I used three of the trees from the tree set and mixed them in with Stonemason's "Return to the Enchanted Forest".
those Ornitholestes sure look kool, i'm going to have to get them some day
My stab at the theme. It isn't the best, its more artsy than theoretically possible (or, to Tropers. Making Paleontologists Cry), it really diverged from my original plans. and I dedicate it Lost in a Lost World because I'm a Moody Blues nut. :P
The thing that took up the most time creating this was the fur. I spent most of a day and a half tweaking it, and I still got a couple errant strands there.
Hope this doesn't offend too many Carrara nuts. :P
and we have a mammal !!!! awesome
I was hoping to post the first mammal render but you beat me to it
I haven't done too many dino images howver here are a just a couple of frames from the second page of a graphic novel I'm, slowly, putting together plus a couple of older images.
i remember that last one from the Stonemason contest a few years back, i always did like that image
Took me a bit of time to find it again to be honest as I had lost it amongst the hundreds of images I have created over the years, only having tracked it down off one of the on-line galleries that I had posted it to. :) Looking at it I could probably do a better job of it now.
Still looks great to me, I only have 2 questions
How did you do the snow
and what dinos are those?
The snow on the ground was a simple Vue terrain with a snow material applied. The falling snow was done with brushes from Ron's Winter Collection (at various sizes to simulate depth) and a zoom filter applied for motion (wind blowing from behind the camera) with the foot prints and kicked up snow also post work.
As for the dino's they're a scaled down DinoRaul Cryolophosaurus scaled down with a bump or displacement map applied.
Very cool images. I thought this was going to be a thread complaining about people still using Poser 4 technology. Dinosaurs are much more fun. :-)
I love dinosaurs. (My credit card may never recover from Rosity's recent Dinoraul sale.)
I wish more Poser dinosaurs included feathers, or at least an option for them. Also, I'd like to see some textures for Dinoraul's Microraptor and Archaeopteryx models that reflect the latest findings, that their feathers were glossy black, like a crow's.
Lol the thread title is a play on Edgar Rice Burroughs' "The Land that Time Forgot" and "The People that Time Forgot" part of his Caspak series of books that feature a lost world with dinosaurs and primitive humans.
