With my sense of humor, I find this hilarious. Maybe DAZ meant to exclude us. Or give heavy users a bigger discount. As messed up as everything is, there is no way they can sort the customer database. Or send out the correct emails?

Wendy, maybe you can use your 30% for one of their unused (barely used) computers. Not only 30% off, but free shipping and in 3 monthly payments. Email support and see.

Maybe Jeff isn't really a CV with Addict status. He just made it up to impress us.

Maybe they meant to say that due to the sales their inventory is running low. So would customer like us please immediately return 30% of everything we've bought over 30 days ago, please, pretty please?

I am rapidly approaching addict status, I think it is not so much that I post a lot all over the forum as much as post alot in a handfull of threads in reply or to chat to the other 8 addicts.
chat is what I do, esp on Android if another replies and I see it.
if Daz had a chatroom, I would prob be all over it except I one finger touchscreen type too slow!
this is the main reason I don't go into chatrooms!

A while ago I was thinking of setting up an IRC channel but I did wonder if anyone would care enough to use it.

I am thinking about it again now!

Skype chatrooms are fun, as you can set up a group, and then as long as peeps in the group exchange contact details you have the option of chatting one to one, or as a group, and it's all free, which is a good price.

but you need someone to chat to, not utter strangers!
    a common interest
early on in my computing experience I tried webcam livechat and the first question was "are u gonna show us pussy?" followed by "nice tits" so though no, not for me! :red:

That's why you form a group, you only invite people you know to join the group. So we could have a BBSFFC group.

And you click ignore on anyone who tries to contact you that you didn't invite. I ignore lots and lots of people on Skype. Most everybody in fact.

Did you leave this poor fellow out in the rain? Nice texture work. Is this pure Texture editing or did you use some Shaders?

Pure texture editing - I haven't even touched on how to use Shaders yet, though I'm looking to learn about that soon. Lots of fun with Filter Forge. :)

    Glad you like him. :)

Well Skype sounds good to me. I bet you can guess my username if you want to add me! I'm on Skype most of the time if I'm at the pooter.

If your username isn't the same as your name on here, just please let me know who you are when you add me so I know I actually want to talk to you!

{edit} - Pam, I just looked for you on Skype but apparently you're a Korean warrior fella!
    {another edit} - Found Jeff though :coolsmirk:

I usually have Skype running on my Android phone if I'm not on the PC.

I am fast becoming a DAZ addict - must learn to control my purchase habits otherwise I could easily spend waaay too much here (and elsewhere). But it's so much fun! :)

It shouldn't incur roaming charges, you'll be connected through t'intarweb, not the phone company. It would charge your 3G allowance (or whatever) but not roaming charges.

yes but it said because I am on amobile device it would incur roaming for overseas calls so prob won't use it until I can learn more from others or ask Optus, had nasty data charge bills before on my phone so cautious, I sent you a screenshot, no idea how to find people and stuff anyway.

Jerrican, I noticed another newuser had that fivelegged alien goopbeaker avatar too, do you get it by default if you do not upload your own or is the popular choice from the forum software avatars?
(I actually chose it too between changing images when the forum would not let me because the others were crappier)

It's far too easy to get addicted, but as you say it is fun. I first came here 9 years ago, and I haven't left yet.

Actually it was more than 9 years ago, but there were no forums till 9 years ago, before that it was just a store.

    I added you.

I will say that I don't use Skype for calls, I only use it as a messenger, which is probably why I don't know much about the roaming thingo.

I found it in the default avatars here - I haven't had the chance to make my own, though I should have a new one soon. It seems to be popular enough, though. :)

I should have slept, been up all night, redoing my failed render and my disc started checking itself all over so not looking good, got all my latest Daz downloads on it, my latest video images sequences and computer backup so a lot of crap to save if needed!

I think I'm gonna watch a movie later. Probably the remake of Conan. Not sure where my energy's gone.

Urgh - not a bad movie, but just didn't have the spirit I so enjoyed from the earlier version. Best part was Momoa as Conan - he did a very credible job.

Jason Momoa is the only thing that kept me watching Stargate Atlantis after the scripts got lamer and lamer!
