Another incredibly usefull product, the promo's you have there are really selling the realism added by your product!! Great work :)

Any plans to also do a version for the rest of the body?

    This looks great.

Is this strictly G3F, or can it be autofitted to G2 like any other type of hair? I'd be interested to insta-buy, but I'm preferring G2 over G3.

    Bee,

I just tried using the autofit and it did not give an option to choose the original G3F character. So I would imagine you would need the G3F mannequin for G2F in order for it to fit properly?

    Renomista,

It depends on how well the product does. If there seems to be a demand for a full body version, then I would consider tackling the project.

It ususally should fit somewhat if you chose "none" instead of G3F with hair, but this is the face, and G3 has all those bones in the face, so I'm not sure. Usually, G3 hair works fine in G2. If it's not working, then that can't be helped.

Didn't waste any time or thought on snagging this up as soon as it appeared.

For those of us trying to get the most photo-realistic renders possible, it's the little stuff like this that most average people won't even notice that will make tons of difference.

    Thany you very much!

Did I miss something?  I couldn't find it in the store yet...

  • Yep, I missed something.  Off to the cashier...

    VB,

It was just released this am. I'll go ahead and post a new thread to give a heads up.

Thanks again guys for suggesting and supporting this new product. I think it was a good idea, and it was a fun project to take on.

Sadly, I don't do G3 stuff (at least not yet), but this looks like an incredible product.

I caved in and bought it, but unfortunately, the transfer from G3 to G2 is not working, even with the mannequin. sad

I'm not sure I will keep the product under these circumstances, like I said, I am doing mostly G2 renders, and don't plan to go to G3 any time soon.

Other than that, the hair is a really great idea, and a great product from what I can see. On G3F, it works beautifully.

What kind of impact does this have on render times? And I would be ecstatic if there was a version for G2. I don't know how well G2 stuff sells now, but I'd happily buy a G2 version. I might still pick this up, but most of my runtime and scenes still use G2.

    outrider,

It does not seem to affect render times that much, at least not as much as some hair products do. The textures are only 3 KB in size, so that may be part of the reason why there's not much overhead with this product.

If there is enough interest, I may release a G2F version of this. I suppose it would depend on how well the G3F version sells.

I have a G2F product marketed elsewhere. And... it's slooooooooooooooooooooooow.

    So, here's hoping. ;)

Well, I'd definitely be interested, for both, a G2F and a G2M version of this product.

Is there anything out there like this for arms?

Still, I'm hoping this sells well enough to warrant a G2 ver.  I've got lots of G2 figures that are "waiting for their close-up".

I just bought this fantastic product and yes: I'm also very interested in a version for the rest of the body and also in a Genesis2 Female version.

Thanks, that's all for the moment... :-)

Pretty nice! The is OG Genesis 3 showing off her fuzz. I especially like the cheeks. She's also sporting Laticis eyebrows from DA. Click to zoom.

I hope this sells well. I'd love to see a body version of this, too, as well as that G2 version. I know, I ask a lot.

Interested in the body version. Make that very, very, very... You get the message I hope.

This, so much this! blush  While i'm not into Genesis 3 I bought it, hoping I could get it to work in G2F.  Then I found this thread.

No buyer's remorse and I'd get the G2F version in a heartbeat.  Happy with the result yeslaugh

  • Hey all

I just wanted to chime in on this product. I used it for the first time at the weekend and I am VERY impressed with it. It might not seem much but it adds an extra layer of realism to your portraits which in my view is fantastic. Highly reccomended, I don't think I'll be doing another portrait without it. I hi-res version of the results can be found here: http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/161651/

    Thanks

I bought the product and liked it; would definitely go for a full-body version.

  • I use this product all the time now; I'm most pleased with the added realism it gave me for my newest gallery post:

It does help the renders look more realistic doesn't it? A least those with high enough resolution to notice it.

  • I've found that it is more visible in closeups, and when there is a light source at an angle to the skin surface rather than straight on.  Strangely, just like in real life...

Here is a test I did with it a few weeks ago.
