  • I am using DAZ Deals with firefox.  I LOVE this!  Today I found that I had purchased the Neo Ayne addons, but not the item itself thanks to this plugin.
I receive emails about my wishlisted items that are on sale.  But it is working off of old data.  I poked through the DAZ Deals settings in firefox and found that yes, I have allowed automatic wishlist updates, but the last update was November 18, 2017.
I unticked the auto update button hoping for a maunal update button, reloaded the page and the autoupdate self ticked and the date is still Nov 18.
How can I update my wishlist with DAZ Deals?

    Thanks!

You can always do a manual update from the wishlist page, clicking on the "Sync wishlist" button on the top right.

Automatic update kicks in when there is a change in your wishlist. Add something to it and reload the page a couple of times to receive the new list back from Daz. You can remove the newly added item after a few page loads if you want to.

My desktop firefox does not have a sync button, but my desktop chrome does and my laptop firefox does.  I disabled Ghostery desktop/firefox, but that didn't make the button show up.
When I use the sync button in chrome on my desktop or in firefox on my laptop, it says "Problem with autoupdate.  Check settings on Wishlist page."
I don't see anything to change other than the method of sorting and Hide items I Own.
I went to DAZ Deals settings desktop/chrome and set up email notifications there to match desktop/firefox (which was the only place I had it set up).
I used Sync button on desktop/chrome with no errors.  DAZ Deals desktop chrome did not show the date of the last update.
DAZ Deals desktop/firefox now shows today's date.

So there must be something off about my desktop/firefox and the wishlist email settings, though the addon seems to work fine otherwise.
I hope the above workaround can help someone :)

You get that error message when there is a problem with the e-mail address and/or passcode set on the options page. Make sure they are the same as in the browser where it works correctly. Make sure there is no space, or any other unwanted character before and after your e-mail address and the passcode.

    Microsoft Edge still playing Hard-To-Get?
I had to click NO when asking about using the Daz Deals Browser because I still use Edge (and IE11) but sure wanted to click YES.
Anhow, thanks for the addons that Do work in Ege Ati. :)

Yes. Sadly we're still waiting to hear back. I'm going to nag a bit more and see if I can at least get an ETA from them. Sorry for the wait!

The only additional feature I crave (which DAZ hasn't implemented either) is the ability to wishlist from the store listing pages.....we still have to go look at the individual product page to add it to our wishlist.  Very often I know I want something added to my wishlist without even going to the product page.  It's just an extra step, and it's a huge slowdown when I'm browsing.

Any chance DazDeals could implement this?  It seems like all the information needed should be there already.

I guess we could add that at some point. Until we do, you can use the "add wishlist icons to category page" script from my scripts page here: https://www.civilizationhunt.com/ds/

+1 to adding this to the extension. It makes the click area a bit tight (you might click wishlist when you mean add to cart and vice versa), but for those who want to use it, it likely does speed things up. :)

Sounds great to me. I also get frustrated having to navigate to the product page just to wishlist an item.

Just filled out the survey. I hope you can do a Daz Deals add-on for the iPad! I do all my browsing and purchasing on my iPad but I check Daz Deals on my laptop before checking out. I don't trust purchasing anything on a Windows computer and now with this Intel thing, even on my Mac. All my purchases are on my iPad or if I'm out and forgot to check out, my iPhone.

    Done!

Could you help us out a little? I created a short survey to find out a little more about your shopping habits. No personal info, no questions about money; only where you shop from, where you browse the shop from, would that habit change under certain circumstances, stuff like that.

Depending on your answers, there are maximum 14 questions, all multiple choices or select boxes. Nothing to type. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

Please fill out the survey by clicking here, if you have a few minutes.

    Thank you! :)

If you are signed up for the email notifications, clicking on any links from there will also use our affiliate link.

Often, having to go to a product page to wishlist it means "Nah. Not going to bother." It's stupid that Daz didn't set it up to wishlist from the gallery page.

I also did the survey. Hope it helps.

Yes, I have a few scripts Ati has on his site. Te "add to wishlist" button in the main store page and the release date on the product page. I also downloaded the ignore thread script but somehow that doesn't work, at least... I don't know how LOL

    Love, Jeanne :)

So I just wait till it's there or maybe, maybe.... change to Chrome what will be quite a change for me since I'm so used to the MS browsers and they have their advantages.laugh

    Hey,

I think it would be nice if the DAZ Shopping Plugin could scrape the 'My Account' -> 'Product Library' and create a set of local website of my DAZ purchases on my PC using local URL file: resources.

Pages would look like, including the image and maybe the templates locally:

and include locally the 'Orders' pages scraped to my local PC...

and "possibly" the templates but not the actual product files. The templates might be too much though.

    Thanks

I think maybe you're asking for too much.  Information is one thing, but these are exact copies of DAZ3D pages...it would be copyright infringement!  We don't want Ati and Overdrawn to get in trouble.

I was thinking of trying Edge as soon as my updates are done.  I see there is an Edge version mentioned, but how hard is it to get it?

There's an Edge extension in the works, but it's blocked by waiting on the Windows Store editorial process. Sorry about the wait.

    Hi All,

I started getting the following error message (attached) when clicking "SYNC WISHLIST". This started maybe a day or two ago. Using Chrome. Anybody else experiencing issues with the app? Thanks.

Please go to the options page by clicking the addon's icon in the browser. There, under the "Email Notifications" tab, enter the email address you signed up with, and the passcode that you received when signing up. This is not your Daz login data, never give that to us! This is the data you received when signing up specifically for the notifications. Make sure there are no spaces or any other, unnecessary characters before and after the email and the passcode. Click the green save button after making changes.

When this is done, reload the wishlist page, and the manual syncing should work.

I somehow managed to unsubscribe myself. Had to re-register my email address and get a new passcode. Problem solved. Thanks.

@Ati @Overdrawn Are there any plans to apply categorical searches to the Product Library?

I use the store search to reconnoiter planned renders (thanks to your fabulous Only Show Owned box), but often there are products that have been removed from the store that would be useful. They ARE in my Product Library, however. If I could search my Product Library using the same category parameters available for the store, I would never again have to ask someone else to tell me the name of a product I own so I could find and use it. What do you think?

While theoretically this would be possible, in practice we don't have any category information about products that are no longer in the shop.

If everyone was willing to list and categorize their old products (that are no longer in the store), then we could overcome this, and it would make such a feature possible.

Excellent! I shall start on this immediately. Thank you!

Hi, this is great!  I just loaded this the other day, and very cool stuff!  Great to have the e-mail notifications, thanks!  :)

...although it is a little addictive.  I have bought something almost each day since I loaded it.  The "% off" sorting is a wonderfully evil feature cheeky
