Yeah, the % off filter is a nice one. Part of my daily routine is Wishlist -> Sort by % off -> Hide PC+, and see what's at the top, and with what discount.
We'll be back online shortly. Unfortunately, Daz glitches like today's put a lot of strain on the notification server as well.
Got an e-mail notification my entire wishlist was onsale
but its not
Was it related to the glitch you mentioned above?
Half the store (20,000+ items) was on sale, most likely not on purpose. I'm saying "most likely" because prices went up about an hour or so ago. So the email was correct, those items were indeed on sale for a short time, even if not intentionally.
Phew! So maybe I'll make the mortgage payment this month.
Doh!
I would have definitely taken advantage of that!
I'd like to thank everyone who filled out the survey. If you still haven't, and would like to help us with a few answers, then please fill it out now. I'll be closing the survey in a few days. (This is the same one I posted a few weeks ago. If you've already filled it out, then don't fill it out again. :))
Please fill out the survey by clicking here, if you have a few minutes.
Thank you! :)
I filled out the survey, and although my answers to the questions about spending more money since using Daz Deals was "No," I'd like to say that I have made more informed purchases and bought items that were in my wishlist that I really desired but would have otherwise missed if not for DazDeals. Thank you.
So. Spending smarter, not morer? :)
Yup. Because I was already maxxing out on my spending.
@ Ati -- done! In my case, the "bought more/spent more" questions were difficult to answer (so I didn't), because I installed the addon just a few days after I started stocking up my content library. I couldn't really compare spending over time for periods before and after installing the addon (if that was how those two questions were intended).
I did buy at least one product (probably more) because of the emails. One of the emails tipped me off that Stryker by Darwins Mishap had been released -- which was deffo on my radar. I think there were a few other things in my wishlist whose prices had dropped (not counting that big glitch/brief megasale mentioned above) and which I bought because of the email alerts.
I think I am spending smarter because of the addon, because of the pricing histories. If I don't need or wouldn't use something right away, I can defer buying it until later if I see that it often goes on sale, or has a steady price over time.
I use my cell phone kind of like a land line, so don't really care about getting notifications on it. I don't even check my email on it.
when i look at a older product the daz-deals firefox plugin the price graph is showing a nothing but a box with a red X and MCAffe webavisor is coming up with a banner saying some conent is coming from a unsafe or danerous site
McAfee seems to have blacklisted us for some reason. I'll see what I can do about that. In the meantime, if you wish to do so, whitelist the domain civilizationhunt.com in your firewall program.
This should not be an issue any more, they moved us back to the "green" status. Give it a few hours, if it still block us. Let me know if you receive such warnings in the future.
Time to start the spring development season. ;)
When the "Optional Licence Add-ons" box appeared above the product image thumbnails, there were lots of messages about it here on the forums.
Is that still annoying, or have most of you gotten used to it? Is it still something you optionally would like to be able to hide?
Will this work for chrome on iOS?
I'd like to be able to hide it. I have no use for or interest in interactive licenses. And it's just taking up space on the page where I'd rather see product images.
Hi there. For some reason my wishlist isn't up to date on your notification server; I often get notifies of stuff I already own and when I look at the snapshots under Restore Wishlist, it says 295 items, not the 430 I actually have. Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this?
Either manually sync the wishlist from time to time (using the blue "Sync whishlist" button on the wishlist page) or enable automatic syncing in the options page. This second method is what I recommend. This way you don't need to manually do anything, the wishlist gets automatically updated each time there is a change.
Have been using it for a while now and it's awesome! Always happy to see those ATI emails coming in!
The question about laptop and tablet and phone OS should have multiple check options. I have a Windows tablet, an iOS tablet, and Android tablet, and an Android phone. But I can only pick one. So Android it is.
In that case it's best to check the one you use the most, or the one you have with you most of the time.
As far as I know, I have automatic sync enabled. There's no 'sync wishlist' button on my wishlist, in any case. And I have the 'wishlist and other notifications' box checked on my Daz-Deals option page (and always have). But, for whatever reason, it still isn't getting updated. (Or wasn't as of the last Restore Checkpoint.) What seems weird to me is that it /does/ have Restore Checkpoints for the last 30 days-- would it be creating those if it wasn't syncing? But they're for an older version of the wishlist.
Really hope iOS comes soon! Is that something you're working on?
Up here, in the top right corner of your wishlist:

On the options page, go to the E-mail notifications tab:
And make sure the automatic sync is enabled:

If it's not, then enable it. If it is, then errr, disable it and enable it again. Add something to your wishlist, reload the product or wishlist page 3 times, and check if the last update time under the auto sync changed.
Restore points are backed up from the data that is on our server, your last synced wishlist.
How about a feature to "exclude a vendor"? I know you can pick a vendor, but excluding a vendor, like DazOriginals would really help me sort for the non-DazOrig coupon, and TBH, I have picked the DO's clean of what I can hink I would ever want...(except for new stuff)
Both coupons can be used on Daz Original items.
I know that was not the real question, but off the top of my head I can only think of two ways to exclude an artist (and we're talking about externally here, since we don't work with the actual website database, only what's already available in your browser), and both of these would be quite resource-heavy. Let's see if @Overdrawn has any easier solutions to this.
You know what I'd like? The ability to create and categorize my wishlist view by custom category.
So if I made a SciFi genre, I could sort my wishlist items into that, and just view them. Same for Fantasy, or Skimpwear, or whatever...
That's an existing feature: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3140461/#Comment_3140461
I saw in one of your scripts, you can hide an item...is it possible to "hide" items by vendor? (or with the Daz Original symbol?)
