Aard.
Cirilla, also converted to PBR shader (as is the Geralt/Aard image above.)
Triss, the fourteenth of the hill.
(Again, Genesis 3, but with the new PBR skin shader applied... borrowing from Victoria 8.1 settings.)
Lovely work as always Blurst of Times
Thanks
I enjoy playing with these figures as I mess around with the PBR shader. It's kind of fun to play with Genesis 3 figures and my old library of stuff, some of which I'd forgotten about.
Genesis 3 is just easier to play with as I'm experimenting with the PBR. And with these lovely Witcher figures from Kayleyss? I never really liked their Iray settings for my render setup, so this is actually quite fun for me.
I wish I had a good handle on Yennefer of Vengerberg's face, though. I haven't found one that I really like...
Another test with Ciri, moving the dials around a little.
Ah, yes, looking good indeed!
It's been a while since I've played one of the witcher games. I am quite curious about the announced 'next generation version' of The Witcher 3. It is said to be a free upgrade.... Just hoping it won't be too much 'next gen'. (I got a 2080ti when they were still somewhat affordable, so here's hoping that will be sufficient.....)
LoL, Bankers logic
I've got this set, and yep, it's definitely witcher inspired....
Ha! That beast slayer sword reminds me of the CDPR model for Zireael.
Okay, one more PBR experiment... going for the wet skin look.
I know how to do it with Iray Uber, so I had to learn how to do it in PBR.
I think this is close enough, anyway. (Also used Soto's real drops with one of the free Iray uber shaders just for the impression of larger droplets, but not too visibly obvious ones.)
It certainly looks slippery (but I don't judge, haven't touched the 'new PBR' shader yet and I doubt I could do better... )
As for the sword, it does have a lion's head, so not quite witcher style, but yeah, I can see some resemblance.... (I prefer to use a model extracted from one of the (many) Witcher mods for Skyrim as Ciris' sword...)
I'm just looking for "close enough", but that Zireael from Skyrim looks good.
Okay, once more with Triss because there was a Multiplane Cyclorama thread earlier.
I decided to drop the Cyclorama on this. Yes, a lot of DoF, but why not? It's simple and good. No need for full blown HDRI... didn't even convert the Cyclorama to Iray.
Triss (err, Trish HD for V7) is converted to the new PBR shader, of course. Custom SSS maps, a few maps borrowed from Victoria 8.1 for the Detail channel because those do not exist in Genesis 3.
Once again, Triss Merigold... Trish HD for Victoria 7.
(Genesis 3 conversion to the new PBR shader.)
Why do the conversion? Because I don't like the performance of the Iray uber Trish HD skin as is. (Good skin, doesn't fit my lighting setups.)
I could adapt it to my own Iray uber preferences, but I never did. It's already in Iray uber, so it feels more like work to do that.
Having a new skin shader is a different kind of adaptation, I think.
Hey!! Why no Yennifer???????????
I find Yennefer's face much harder to capture. I'm not a huge fan of the Jenn HD morph, and getting close to the CDPR Yennefer of Vengerberg is not easy for me to do.
She has very different shapes to the jawline, nose that I find very challenging to do. I've done renders, but nothing that I find worth sharing.
Okay, latest attempt at Yennefer of Vengerberg.
Again, converted the skin (Kayleyss' "Jenn HD for V7") to the PBR shader. Customized SSS maps, borrowed Detail maps from Victoria 8.1, borrowed settings from Victoria. I increased some of the Specularity gloss settings here.
Hair is Oleander hair, but I flipped it left to right so that it more resembles the hairstyle for CDPR's Yennefer. Background is a towel texture (3DL) because I thought of gooseberries.
Still needs a lot of work, though.
I get a bit the feeling that Yenn's eyes, didn't quite get out as, well, 'Yen's eyes' (and BTW, in my own attempt, way back then, they didn't come out quite well either..). I did use diva hair in my render: https://www.daz3d.com/diva-hair-for-genesis-2-female-s
A good start on Yen, TBOT!! It does capture her "Femme Fatale" look well. Maybe CDPRK should use your version. Or you could make a mod for W4 and post it Nexusmods.
dont piss off Triss, she throws a fireball no holding back.
did you ask about dandelion or the treasure? lol
this set reminds me of the inn on the way to the Baron's place https://www.daz3d.com/fg-mystic-alehouse
Ha! Here's Triss finding her happy place.
Triss does look a bit 'PO' , maybe Geralt not giving her enough attention. But then, I'd say 'Geralt' likes a 'wildcat'. (I think CDPR made Triss more likable; it sure made it easier for me to 'go for' Triss. Did go for both in one play; gave quite an interesting result (much to the liking of Dandelion and chagrin of Geralt .)
The treasure of course , Dandelion, who's, that? Never heard of him. Oh, wait, he's the reason I'm asking these questions?????
, there are quite a few Inns, and by now, its been about a year since my last play, so can't say which Inn...., but it looks like a nice set indeed.
imiss following his witcher2 ponytail
Looks like she just got done torching the Temple of the Eternat Fire!!
Now that would have been a nice game-option ; alas, we'll have to do with just the witch hunters headquarters ....
Glad the Triss images are appreciated.
I really wish I could figure out Yennefer's face with the dials, but she's ellusive to find in the Genesis 3 dials, IMO.
So one more of the Wolf. (Again, Genesis 3... Gwenbleiz HD by Kayleyss, a few dial spins, converted to the new PBR shader with Michael 8.1's settings.)
Ves was an interesting character. Roche had a problem with her 'armor' lol
She definitely wasn't wearing her 'breastplate'
'He' has a fierce look about him (or maybe he caught Triss at a bad moment ), nevertheless impressive work....
Thanks! Mainly experimenting with the new PBR shader, but it's fun to revisit these Genesis 3 figures.
One more go at Yennefer of Vengerberg. I think it's a little closer, but still a challenge with her face.
