Haven't tried that myself, but for what I know is that if you start the DLC this way, all the main quests will be marked as 'completed', so you can't do the main quest then. Also, the minimum recommended level for B&W is 35; you'll be starting with a disadvantage. Not sure what the end scene would be like also, as obviously that is dependant on your choices in the main questline.

(edit to add, with main quests I mean the original Witcher 3 quests... not the B&W 'main' quest.)

    Ever find the elusive Ordrin?

  • glaseyeglaseye Posts: 1,311

Ordrin? Or Odrin? I can't recall having seen him, though I do recall what I think is one of his 'business-friends' in Novigrad, selling empty(sic!) bottles...... cheeky

Hmm, https://www.daz3d.com/monster-slayer-outfit-for-genesis-8-male looks very much Witcher 3 inspired, but, Idunno, looks a bit to neat? Nevertheless on my wishlist for now.....

cant remember how to get to the loot in the nilfgard garrison.  is behind the locked gate.  think there was a wall to Ard?

going for a Yrden/fast attack build

not gonna  bother with the pass to Noving rad, gonna swim for it, then gallop straight to the city.

could really use a screenshot of places of power.

    poison works on wraiths?

jenny regenerates health.  hate when they do that.

geralt falls down stairs. he says ow (facepalm)

ovverhearing peasants gossiping about how hard it is to find the pellar.  at level 11 now, still hveta go find his goat princess.  the crone/baron storyline so horrible dont want to do it again. >.<

giving up on jenny for now, going to do the merry widow contract. and going to the lighthouse for the griffin sword.  the griffin armor is handsomeheart

i cant see the minimap.vision too poor  cant read the red lettering on the over level gear.

jenny regenerates health.  hate when they do that. kill the other wraiths first = use strong attack, drink a potion or two

IIRC, go west from Hierarch Square (past the banker). At about the spot were you would go left to the market, you will find Cleaver's hideout to the right...

    good memory!!smiley

    jenny was easier at level15

i got 3x 10% yrden glyphs juicing up my yrden trap.  the alt yrden zaps lightning at the pesky wraiths. tee hee and bandits.  hard part is the time it takes to laydown the trap

it looks like points in the sweeping ard makes me resistant to knockdown?

Yes, it is. IIRC to get that result you will have to play totally 'out of character'; let Triss loose all her nails and ask about the treasure, not Dandelion... (or at least don't ask about Dandelion before asking for the treasure). (As an added bonus, later in game you may ask Reuben for some extra support for freeing Dandelion and for the defense of Kaer Morhen.....)

working with cleaver's gang made it easy.  they swept thru the arena and conveniently left the body loot for me to pick up

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

oh theres a plae of power just north of the vegelbuds.  never found that one before. laugh

  • glaseyeglaseye Posts: 1,311

Yep, after all those years of play, still places to be discovered..... that's one of the beauties of this game (much like Skyrim, which I've been playing from the start, and still not done everything....)

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

decisions, they want me to throw the fist fight with georgeous george.  do they give enough to pay the skillege 1,000 crowns voyage  fee?

    hate to throw a fightdevil

the witcher 2 scene with geralt and ves was beautiful

disappointed there isnt more witcher inspired renders here.

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

the wolf gear is level 14.  there no quicker way to get there?

  • glaseyeglaseye Posts: 1,311

Side-quests, cheeky, they're there to level up..... wink, not quicker, but they 'slow' (sort off) the progress for the main quests ....devil

As for rendering, well, I guess the inspiration may be there; getting the right models/objects is a different task altogether.
