Had to put together a render, but no time to finish my own models.  Here is a quickie with a scifi spaceship by David Brinnen and ForbiddenWhispers.

    https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-space-ship

Planet is just a sphere that I painted for continents and polar ice caps, then created two more spheres (slightly larger) for some clouds.  Sun is a sphere with the spiky modifier and a bright glow channel.  Stars are small replicated spheres replicated behind the sun (I cut out a circle around the sun so stars wouldn't shine too close to the sun).

In other words, here is David and FW's awesome spaceship with a bunch of spheres.

wonderful job on the planet Diomede

Toon III, plus a neat architectural photoshop action I bought. I've been messing with applying it to people, lol.

Very nice!  So, you rendered out the figure in Carrara toon 3, and applied the architectural layer in photoshop?  Whatever you did, it looks great.

Thank you. That's exactly how I tried it out.

A lovely calm mood in this. I'd be tempted to crop off the bottom third and have a more wide-screen aspect ratio.

Thanks Phil, was tempted to alter it a bit, but left it at that size ratio for a photo-realistic render as well.

Bunyip, I like them both.  I think that Phil's suggestion would apply more to the NPR version.

  • Bunyip02Bunyip02 Posts: 8,590

Thanks again Phil, any advice from one of the master's of Carrara is always warmly recieved, glad you liked them.

Thanks UB, in retrospect I would have gone for a wider view in the NPR, but was also experimenting with the different results we can get with our Carrara renders, always trying to learn and improve !!

Thanks. They are trees in the scene, although they could be getting chased by either tree-huggers or bulldozers.

Love the birdie scene, a local magpie ignores me when I take the dog for a walk but gives curry to any kids on bikes !
