That would have been some scene with 150 roaring engines. This video was from a Harley Club Jamboree Rideout.

There is something head turning about the sound of a Harley engine :)

Aye.  I didn't get down to Dave's funeral. He went 6 weeks or so before I lost himself, and neither himself or I felt that we could manage a 200+ mile journey each way  and also not certain that a 22 year old car which was only used to puttering around locally would have stood up to the journey.
    Did find this.

...yeah even on a human powered bike (or just walking) dealing with clueless mouth breathing phone to the ear motorists is scary. Last Friday while crossing a street with the walk light this humongous SUV was making a left turn an almost pushed into me. Stared the driver right in the eye as he kept rolling at me but it did no good. Hoped he'd get stuck by a slow moving freight train for his impatience.

And as a motorist, I've had some close brushes with clueless pedestrians because their phone is more important than their safety.

No pause, no look, just a sudden changed of direction into the road.

...I hear you there,  I've had people on their phones walk into me on the sidewalk totally unaware I was there. Once it even happened at the super where I was blindsided by a distracted shopper on his phone coming out of an aisle. Fortunately he wasn't pushing a trolley in front of him, that would have really hurt.  When I'm out an about the phone stays in my pocket unless I'm trying to find a place, then I stop walking move somewhere out of the way and check the location before moving on again.  Living in the city is dangerous enough with all the traffic the way it is, tempting fate is...well...stupid.

...and don't get me on those pedestrians who think a Don't Walk light means go ahead cross anyway.  I've come close to pranging a few "colour blind" pedestrians on occasion who step off the curb literally right in front of me while I'm riding my bike, even though I have the green light (and often I would be the one to get a dirty look). Even a human powered bike does not stop on the proverbial dime (and if you do you brake hard you can risk kissing pavement).

...nice.  Didn't realise Harleys were that popular in the UK.

...not a good option as both of us would have been hurt in the process.

Some years ago I wastouring Yellowstone when a bikers club entered the park lead by a state trooper ruiser  (and it turned out trailed by one also). I'm not sure how many there were but every single one of them was carrying a firearm of some sort. I was standing at the urinal when suddenly I was braced by a couple of these guys and we had a conversation. . . of sorts.

    "Er howdy"

    grunt

    "where you from?

    "Phoenix"

    "Why all the firepower?"

" heard the (a group from Chicago) wuz commin. This is our turf"

Now this was summer time and although The North Rim of the Grand Canyon was somewhat warm the ride up from Phoenix had to have been brutal as much of it was miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles of hot desert. So these people were a bit out of sorts. We packed up and left.

Must say thank you for pointing out that outfit. I got the whole set for GF8, the character, outfit and the bike. These are all really standout products, I'm more then happy with them all.

May I ask what was the product name of the bike? I have been looking for it but could not find it out. Thanks!

Apologies for not noticing this earlier.  If you haven't found it yet, it's the Chameleon Roadracer, which you can find over at Renderosity.
