Honestly, I have tried windows 8, and I just find it kind of a bad fit to a PC. Its not so bad on a tablet, or a touchscreen computer, and if I had those, and wasnt working on my machine, maybe. Fact is, I don't and this rig is a workhorse. So, when and if I get my next computer, Ill be sticking with windows 7.
I actually also had a windows phone for awhile. While the colorful kindergarten blocks are tolerable, i have to say I much prefer the iPhone
If Microsoft was smart, they'd make an additional version of win 8, that isnt so tablet oriented
..ahh, but that is like asking Daz to fix the long running instability issues in Hexagon and bring both it and Bryce into the 64 bit world.
Once the mind is made up, it's hard to change it.
Now that I've gotten past the preinstalled (and now uninstalled) bloatware and junk apps, I have noticed some nice features in Windows 8 like the upgrades to Windows Explorer. I'm not totally sold on the new application switching system, but at least I'm not at a loss when figuring out what programs are still running or not. Also, I'm very, very happy with the DAZ Install Manager setting up all my content files so nice and clean on my new system. Thank you DAZ! :)
