...are you sure it's faves and not views? I found a couple of mine in there and nothing has anywhere near 40 faves.

Not that I'm into the "Sosh" mentality on the site. I just need a "wall on which to hang my works" since Magento apparently is not gallery (or for that fact community) "friendly" software and I cannot host a website of my own with my poor bandwidth.

    Sosh == social?

And yeah, I'm about to have to set up a photo-sharing website of my own (because Flickr has significantly changed what they offer for my non-rendered photos) and I look forward to it with extreme distaste, and I'm a hard-core techie with terabytes of bandwidth, dedicated remote server near a Internet backbone, etc...

I can't use dA for that, it's not meant for thousands of photos. Plus I don't want to intermingle my photo libraries (what I keep on flickr) with my renders (which is what I keep on dA). I like deviantArt, but it's very niche, very art-focused, and sometimes more than a little emo.

Maybe dA will offer a "remove 'more like this' from my image pages" feature to its premium members at some point...

...they also changed the way categories work. It used to be I could just select "Digital/3Dimensional Art/Scenes" and that would suffice. Now I need to select everything from the entire tree or it gets sent to something called "Sta.sh" and does not show up in the gallery I intended to submit to.

For "Digital Art/3Dimensional" category, under "Scenes", the choices are very limited to subjects like like "Fantasy.", "Sci Fi", "Female" "Abstract", etc..., none of which I really feel are suitable for full scenes from Leela's story. For the most recent (and any future) submissions, I'm now using "Digital Art / Drawings & Paintings / Illustrations / Storybook" as to me, that is what they really are.

Doing a V5 vs V6 comparison of my Alice In Cyberland character. Posted this up in the "realistic renders - not" thread, figured it'd go well here as well since it's been a while since I plugged my gallery in this thread.

    ....*Warning*

Please avoid my gallery as I have a strong suspicion my DA account has been hacked. Tonight when I attempted to sign in, my password which I have used for a while now (and which is saved in both FF and Norton) was flagged as being incorrect. When I attempted to report this to their CS department, I received the following error:

Sorry, you can’t post more than 5 Help Desk inquiries in 24 hours

That message popped up after the first attempt.

I ended up sending them an email about this with a full copy of the original report text.

Later when I checked the site again I saw that I was logged in. I logged out reopened the site again in a new tab and again saw I was already logged in.

I thought about putting everything in "storage" to see if anything would get reopened however that option appears to no longer be available. My only other choices are to delete everything form the galleries or deactivate the account. Doing the latter would mean I am done there for good and no longer have a site to show my works (as Daz seems to have little interest in reviving the galleries here).

If you have faved any of my works it may be wise for now to delete them until I hear from DA management on just what the heck is going on.

    Apologies.

For what it's worth, here's me again http://i-am-madbat.deviantart.com/
I have another account there as Madbat, but I started that when DA was new, and I've loooong since forgotten the password to it lol.

Thank you so much for saying that! I signed up there ages ago and never did anything with the account. Then I went back and discovered I must have deviated from my usual password collection, because none of 'em worked. So I had to stick a hyphen in my username and start all over. I feel better knowing someone else did the same thing. :D

Gee I never looked? Do they not have a gizmo to reset lost passwords?
Also, if one hasn't cleaned them all out, some browsers actually store passwords where one can find them. [i.e. Firefox does]

My browser stores passwords very nicely. But I joined dA the first time something like seven years ago, and I don't even remember which email I used to create the account, making it difficult to reset the password. Plus I use a whole new computer now. So I took the easy way out, and deal with the silly hyphen. :)

If you're using Firefox or a similar browser (which I just typed "browswer" three times... man, I'm too sleepy for my own good), you should be able to pull up "Saved Passwords" from the Security options tab and do a search for DeviantArt. It's not the most secure thing in the world, but it's something.

*squee* Just wanna say thanks for the hilarious comic you made so long and which gave our tabletop gaming group plenty of chuckles ("zipper ninja" IS in our parlance, thanks to you). Oh and the freebies you've been making, too! :D
