Today is my Mom's 89th Birthday. Her meds were kicking in when I got to the nursing home so she was dozing off while I was there, and a bit more dysphasic than usual. The visit went well otherwise, and as usual, was bittersweet (and as usual, I cried when I left).
    Sigh...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day! (If you observe it where you live; otherwise have a Happy Monday/Tuesday!) :)

    ...Magento 'plaint.

Once again it is acting stupid.

Now that I have a nice concise list of all the products I've purchased (many thanks to Taozen's updated History Manager) I can find out what downloads I may have missed. Began performing product searches in the Product Library when suddenly I started getting those very annoying "There has been an error in processing your request" messages.

    ...anybody else experiencing this rubbish?

On my previous post, when I hit SUBMIT it took me to My Account page. wtf?!?!?!? :bug:

    Second try worked. Feh. :blank:

I've had that a few times - very annoying. Fortunately the content of the post does seem to remain if you use the Back button.

Yep - otherwise I'd have descended into a berserker homicidal rage. :snake: :snake:

    No BBQ day here, nope.

Other than that, it is rather AWESOME day. I can hear martins' (delichon urbicum) flying about and doing their skree-skree-skree-skree thing, which means that very soon there's going to be a nest underneath the roof, and in a month it'll be skree-skree-thump!-skree-skree-skree-thump! as mommy and daddy carry food to the nest.

This also means that summer is officially here.

Oooh, martins! :) Little featherballs! :cheese:

I just had the fun experience of pulling a tick off of my 4 yr old grandson Jonathan who did not want me to. What was so fun was the tick was on his sack and he would not hold his little butt still for me to get it. Luckily grandpa was not going to give up on getting that little bloodsucking bastard off of him. Success, the parasite is no more and Jonathan is a new little man.

Ouch, my daughter had a tick last year. She did not enjoy being made to take antibiotics until it was confirmed to not be a lyme disease carrier.

Are your martins relatives of the purple martins we get here in Tennessee? Ours are in the swallow family. When I was growing up we kept a martin pole up with a big house at the top and real gourds painted white on cross-pieces on the pole underneath. We always had a lot of birds come to nest there in the summer. My Dad was a bird-lover. :)

Ours are very plain, in humble and modest colors of dun, grey, white, and black. Out of all native birds, I think common kingfisher (alcedo atthis) is probably the most colorful we can offer to bird-watchers.

...well, never to around to cookin' up that Jambalaya as I met up with friends who took me to dinner while I was running errands I didn't do yesterday because the weather was so lousy.

Missed out on a nice Rendo coupon because of my crappy connectivity. Fortunately was able to cancel the transaction.

Misty, she could always give the squirrel some Almond Roca.

I quote Richard from the main thread on this issue

I've sent an "Oh no it isn't!" reply to the email saying it was fixed - not sure if it broke again or if there was a knock-on issue, but DAZ should be aware and looking at it once the day starts over there.

A minor annoyance for me, really. My only worry is that I may wear out the F5 key.
