If you color those pigtails tealish emerald color.... Miku Hatsune xD. Okay I think I need to stop drinking coffee now...
Oh no...the sale is gone .
Shittie timezone :-(
The render are great.
Zenrel, she's beautiful! VERY nicely done.
One teeny tiny thing- does that skirt have morphs to lower the bottom? Do you know to go into Scene tab and get into the submenus of the clothing, then go to Parameters and see if there are morphs? I just figured that out a couple weeks ago, and I was like, "DUH." I hate skirts and dresses when the character is sitting or laying down!
But seriously, gorgeous render.

The PC deal? I'm sure it's still going on. It just came out today.
Heck....what happened to the sale price!!! It just blew up!!!! WaaaaH
Wow, really like the hair!!!!
Yeah, the lighting is going to be tricky on this one- nicely done!
Folks, make sure you didn't get logged out. The sale price is still showing. DAZ is notorious for logging you out, EVEN WHEN IT SAYS YOU ARE LOGGED IN. If it says logged in, log out then back in. Let us know if that solves it?
Just noticed the same thing. Suddenly full price. Probably a mistake.

Thank you very much. First thing I do when something like this happens is log out/in. Didn't work.
Back on sale. Thank you very much.
I'd have to go look honestly- because I had a prop that had lights, one may have overridden the other. I just found out the other day about holding down the CNTRL key to keep existing lights (didn't know that) and I didn't know Lune Portail had lights, so poof if Charlize had them. BTW, if you don't have Lune Portail, grab it. Really nice and is a PC item.
A couple of test mixes - of course, a bit extreme to have two characters set at 100% each, but i always find it an interesting test...

Thanks Cathie! Sorry for the late response, have to go to a second interview for a insurance sale position. (Don't know if this job is right for me haha. I want a Analyst job not a sales job!)
This skirt doesn't have morphs, but I was using the sickle's skirt rig method to add skirt handels and still figuring out the best way to get that skirt end to droop down. Figuring out skirts is a nightmare haha.
Hmmm...so I bought the figure early this morning but just now getting to it. The main reason I bought the figure is for the hair. LOL. I have tons of females and not nearly as many males but I really like the hair in this one. The only thing though. In the promo the first pic shows her with long straighter hair (no pigtails). I don't see how I can do this. I played around with the pigtails and you can practically tie them in knots but I don't see how to make them look like the first picture.
Anyone try it? Or is it just a different hair?
I always like new characters but I'll be a little disappointed if I can't get the hair right.
I've broken down every single submenu under the hair- no dice. All there is are bend, twist, and the typical rotate the entire hair, move it up and down. I checked Actor, Display, Full Body, everything. Don't think I missed anything, and I don't see an option to eliminate the pigtails.
I believe that hair style is not part of the package that comes with Charlize. It looks like Aven http://www.daz3d.com/aven-hair-for-genesis
Also, why every time I try to post it takes me to my dashboard?
Charlize is not a toon character, so that might be why no special light rig was included (if I recall, 3DU's lights were always called toon lights).
I think I manage to get the skirt the way I like, so I'll repost a new render in....2-3 hours :P
It has to be a different hair. I was looking at that myself, comparing promos and what's included and saying to myself, ok here's the pigtails, but what is this long hair? Some of the clothes she has in those promos are from other sets, so it could be the same for the hair and I don't recognize it, or maybe it's something new coming later.
Novica - Thanks! I tried all of the options and just didn't see anything. It's nice having another set of eyes checking.
Zenrel - It could be. I didn't see the curls on the ends in the promo pics for Aven but there is a HairTwist option. Not sure if that is it or not. Oh well. I spent so much money I'll have to wait. Thanks.
Yeah those curls were what made me think it wasn't Aven hair... it's nice hair.
Hair is the bane of my existence. Since this is a very visual media, I buy based upon what I see. I do know though that what is in the promos isn't always available so I try and scope it out. Usually, hair isn't sold with the figure but I was excited that this time it was. It saves me time trying to figure out which one was used and tracking it down lol. I just thought the straighter hair made the figure look nice also and gave it another option.
I'm really not a hair-aholic. But in thinking of creating some toons, I was sitting in a meeting one day. I looked around the room and there was about 15 of us and of course no two people had the same type of hair. I like my toons to be that way also. Variety is the spice of life so they say.
I like her especially her face. Here I made her a bit younger.
Wow Zev, that's amazing! You never fail to amaze me with your body morphs haha.
Here's an update on this render. I finally fixed the skirt so it look more natural.
That skirt looks awesome now! Before, she had a bit of a breeze blowing it, doing a Marilyn Monroe, lol.
Zev, I like morphed version!
Jabba, thanks for the comparisons, it's interesting. I'm putting Charlize next to my V6 character, and it's interesting to see the size difference.
Not digging this skin deal. Hoping there is a product update soon for it. Not feeling the patience to mess with it. Otherwise I really like her. Though with my current renderings, she could be a future date for Capt. Kirk.
Welllllllll....I'm rendering the fix now. Or at least, getting really, really close to a natural looking color. I'm posting my efforts in my art studio thread but will let you all know when it's done rendering, and if it's fairly decent (it SHOULD be after messing with numbers for two hours!) I will post everything you need to know to duplicate it. :)

Take a jog to the bottom of this post and go to my Art Studio, got the settings posted. (Once you get to the thread, go to page 57.) If you like them, have a blast- and they're a great starting point to do some fast tweaking, you can go more golden or more blue by slightly changing just the Diffuse. :) I tested a section of this with a daylight light setting, and she looked good to me. Better than the chalky blue IMO, but I just don't like that skin color. I like my gals ruddy or golden.
Enjoy!
