Really like the promo art for Charlize. Wonder if it is using one of his existing toon shaders? It has a very nice texture and look I haven't seen for any v6's as of yet.

To me her texture was a bit cold so I changed that light blue diffuse colour to semi-white.

Yeah I just copy the same diffuse and specular color from Nyssa to replace mine and it turns out great.

I got Charlize because to me she looked like an Aiko type morph for G2F. I think for 11 bucks it's an excellent addition to the gene pool, and you got some extras with it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the skin and hair, but at least I got what I wanted in the morph. I think it fits nicely in a teenish category, somewhere between realistic and cartoon, like Aiko does, and as Jabba showed us, we can combine it for interesting character shapes with the other G2F morphs. I didn't find her face as interesting as the other 3Duniverse characters, but I would want to morph it anyway, and strictly speaking, it's not a completely toon style.

The skin comes out too grey for me, and it doesn't have an SSS texture. I looked into the texture, and thought the color choices were... odd. I can try what was suggested and use some choices similar to maybe Gia, but most likely I would just use a different skin. There's no makeup options either so overall it's kind of useless anyway.

The hair is nice for what it is, but it's kind of bland, and I wish it were a little more fun. It does have some nice morphs and is well crafted. I wouldv'e liked some color mats with it, too, but I can make some up easy enough.

Here's a quick render I did. I dropped a Skies of Reality IBL in, and an IG Photostudio light set.

Same lighting, same scene, but, with the Sian skin from FWArt. A little makeup really makes her pop. The Mom tattoo gave me a chuckle: she's one tough cheerleader!

    Hi all,

Charlize uses DAZ Studio "Skin" lighting model on her skin surfaces. This lighting model creates the edge highlighting that human skin has in normal lighting. This shader does add a red hue to the surfaces it's added to, so the blue diffuse is simply there to counterbalance the red.
The shader also requires actual lights in the scene, so rendering her with DAZ's default lighting (i.e. no lights) will show the blue tone.

Attached are a few comparison renders to show the different effects. From left to right -the first one does not use the "Skin" lighting model, and has the diffuse color set to plain white. The second one has the "Skin" lighting model added with the diffuse color still set to white. The last one has the blue diffuse added to the "Skin" lighting model - notice the nice highlights on the shoulders, chin and neck?

All of our promo renders use a slightly adapted version of our toon lights (included in several of our toon products).

If you wish to remove the blue diffuse tone, simply activate the "Surface Selection Tool", and right-click on the figure and select the option "Select Surfaces with Diffuse Color: 195, 240, 255". Change the "Diffuse Color" to 255, 255, 255 and change the "Lighting Model" to "Plastic"

Thanks for the info, 3D Universe.
In the mean time I have rendered her dressed up with Frivolous 40s clothes.
    Used SAV Eirene Promo Light.
