It was a Truckload of these on a flatbed, one of the wheels caught on fire from bad brake pads that overheated. Not sure but might have been caused by getting ran into before in another accident I think.

EDIT: I watch some stupid news channels late at night.

Thanks for the info, Jade. I got up this morning still wondering what happened and talking about it. Inquiring minds want to know--and now we know.

Are you talking about the main site or the forums?

Either way they both seem to be loading at normal speed for me. Maybe a problem with one of the cables down to Oz. Did the Pike get loose again? :)

Not sure whats causing the host error... But I am starting to think the slow loading has something to do with this pathetic excuse for a new version of Opera browser. Honestly, its loading as slow as 3G phones
Had Deviant Art not forced me to upgrade Opera, I wouldn't have. The last version was way better.
I don't like Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer has so many glitches with this site, its like nothing stays in its correct position, commonly on IE with this forum the text continues outside its text box and off the right side of the screen. Also IE has a habit of not displaying peoples avatars.

At least tho on the plus side, they're installing those high speed Internet cables in my city, (no doubt 10 years behind the rest of the world in technology) but they starting with community streets first... we told expect the entire city done within a year. So residential is last on priorities I guess.

I think it was Daz_Jon who said in one thread that it might be caused by a corrupted cookie, and maybe clearing out all the Daz cookies and starting again could cure it.

Ok, finally awake enough for complaints!

    - Took a while to be awake enough to complain
    - 3 cups of coffee, still mostly asleep
    - Another night in dream bizzaroland
    - HORRIBLE traffic, normal 8 minute cab ride was 25 today
    - Forgot to do laundry yesterday due to render frenzy
    - Forgot to bring in lunch

    Non-complaints:

    - Quiet morning so far
    - Pulled pork and chipotle cheddar cheese for dinner :cheese:
    - Getting happier with my renders
    - Have an excuse to go out for tacos for lunch :P

Cooking at home is saving me a fortune, which is nice as all the extra money is going on the prepaid card for my vacation. I suppose I should open a savings account soon, for the laptop - interest isn't much but every penny helps! I need to use that as my moving fund, as well.

I wish we had a Starbucks or Peets or something close.. the nearest espresso place is a 30 minute bus ride :ahhh: otherwise its the Texaco for flavored coffee. :blank:

I need to clean a munch of music software off my PC tonight to free up room for 3D stuff.. sigh. Just not into music right now. :-S Too interested in 3D and writing!

Speaking of which, I need to write more Olaf.. he's got to respond to the Shield-Maidens Tale. Oooooolafffff! :snake:

All I have is Taster's Choice instant, but I'll share if you'd like!

I swear I'm going to open an Espresso Truck - drive through construction areas and office complexes that don't have a coffee shop near. I bet I could make SERIOUS bank! :smirk:

If you have to drink instant you could always order Starbuck VIA from Amazon (or pick it up at your local grocer). I prefer the Columbian and occasionally the French Roast but if you like a more espresso like flavor the Italian isn't bad.

You could also get a Keuring Deskpro for your desk. Again you can usually find the k-cups at your local grocer. If you catch them on sale they work out to less than 0.70 a cup which is hard to beat even out of a machine. If you have coffee deprived co-workers you could charge them $1-$2 a cup and pay for your coffee with a little extra :).

We have the Keuring and when my wife is traveling that's what I use since brewing a whole pot of coffee for just me is a waste. We got the My K-Cup reusable filter so we can use our favorite ground coffee as well which makes it even cheaper.

I find music tends to inspire scenes/events in my creative writing. It's like it is the sound track to the scene and my imagination pieces together who/what/how and matches the idea in sequence of the music. Then you rattle your brain putting the ideas to paper, and working out "Why" and "when", not to mention if it actually is a justified scene that could fit in with the story.

Though I will admit, this doesn't seem to work all that well with lyrics. A voice singing tends to corrupt your strain of thought particularly when your writing dialogue. So I favor Score/soundtrack... all genres just no lyrics. That said, songs in other languages which you don't understand can indeed inspire some interesting scenes haha

I've seriously considered the Keurig off and on - but my boss says there are rules about what kind of applianes you can have inthe cube and what kind would have to si tin the break room, so that's kind of out for me.. which bites.

Never ries the Starbucks instant - I'll duck into the local grocery this week and see if I can find it!

I played guitar for about 25 years, bass for about 8, keys for about 10. I've even sung (lol) albiet badly.

For now, all I do is listen. It does, as you said, inspire scenes and when I'm setting up a scene can inspire me to experiment.. it sets a mood in my mind. Works for 3D or when working on my fiction!

I do agree, though - lyrics don't work or me when I'm writing. they seem to be OK when doing 3D, though.. which kind of makes sense.

I guess after 30 years of doing something, I get bored. :blank: So it's into 3D and fiction with a vengeance! :snake:

Yeah - every Friday, I get $10 in ones for bus fare.. $2 day pass, a real deal! :) Monthly pass is $30, I should just go back to those, but it's not convenient to get the pass any more.. have to go out of my way. I need to find a solution for that. :blank:

I think a soft taco and a crispy taco for lunch! Or two crispy tacos! Or... a crispy taco and a carne guisada taco! Or.. omg, choice overload... :bug:

Thats awesome! You'd have a real appreciation for music particularly in the instruments you your self have played.

The only hard part with creating writing and creating the CGI and Art belonging to the fiction is Balance! I find I get so involved in the conceptual/artistic visualization that I realize I haven't written the scenes that I'm making the art for XD

Bored, bored, right out of my gourd
I'm so bored my fingernails snored
By a raging bull I'd rather be gored
    Than sitting here being bored.

Gotta get some samples to use for a test
Letting this run for an hour is best
If I could lie down, I'd get some rest
But the boss is too much of a pest.

I can surf the Web but there's not a lot here
Every really fun site is blocked, I fear
I feel insanity draw ever near
Man I wish I had some beer.

Bored, bored, my brain is ignored
If I make it through this I should get an award
I wish some espresso I had scored
    Then I'd be wide-awake bored!

..yeah, bored now. I need 60 minutes worth of data samples each test run, and the computer is so tied up all I can do is surf the Web. :blank: But I found a nice UberArea light tutorial, so I'm getting SOMETHING useful done!
