squeee. a Predatron sale anndd a Mada sale. besides myself ahhhh. who needs groceries

I'm just worried that my puter is gonna blow up. I'd just put 2 Predatron items on my wishlist this morning and then this sale comes along.

It NEVER happens that way, I usually find something just as the sale ends. I even managed to use the $5/25 coupon that came this weekend.

They moved here and you can come get them any time now. Both dogs are hiding because Misty's virtual BF is making so much racket, she can come get him any time now as well. >:-(

KK I raise you this one

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-23296285
    ...time to "Duck and Cover!"

Many years ago when we still had a major summer airshow in Milwaukee WI where I lived, a lot of us "spotters" would go to the north perimeter of the airport to watch the planes arrive in the days preceding the event. As the runway's end was very close to a moderately trafficked thoroughfare, planes would sometimes come in quite low over the roadway. To the right of the runway there was a viewing area where people could park and watch/photograph arriving and departing aircraft. Of course the boldest (or stupidest) would usually stand along the fence right at the runway's end (real entertaining watching them hang on for "dear life" when a KC-97 tanker took off as they not only got hit by the prop wash but jet wash as well from the two jet pods near the ends of the wings).

There was also a large open field on the other side of the road a couple blocks wide and long. This was the best viewing area as you could sit in the tall grass and get some incredible photos of aircraft approaching and passing overhead. Well one of the annual visitors to the show just happened to be an RAF Vulcan along with a Victor tanker. I think it was 1969, a friend and I went to our favourite position in the field to photograph and film the incoming participants. Lo and behold there was that familiar shape of the Vulcan approaching from the north. Over us he flew at a the "usual" approach altitude and of course got some great pics as this year he had a Blue Steel under the belly. OK so after he touched down on the runway the pilot decides to do a "roller" (touch and go). Ah, another nice photo op coming.

So we get our cameras ready as we watch him circle around to make his final approach. However this time, there would be no photos as we had to literally "hit the deck" (similar to some of the spectators in the video) pulling our camera gear down with us as his second approach was much much lower. So low in fact that he had to "pour on the coals" a bit to clear the perimeter fence (which was about six and a half feet tall) and lights at the runway's end.

Yeah, I can understand how those people felt.

The only thing scarier would be sunning yourself on the beach in St Maarten which is at the end of the runway there and having a 747 or Airbus 380 pass overhead within mere feet.

Bored, bored, right out of my gourd
I'm so bored my fingernails snored
By a raging bull I'd rather be gored
    Than sitting here being bored.

Gotta get some samples to use for a test
Letting this run for an hour is best
If I could lie down, I'd get some rest
But the boss is too much of a pest.

I can surf the Web but there's not a lot here
Every really fun site is blocked, I fear
I feel insanity draw ever near
Man I wish I had some beer.

Bored, bored, my brain is ignored
If I make it through this I should get an award
I wish some espresso I had scored
    Then I'd be wide-awake bored!

..yeah, bored now. I need 60 minutes worth of data samples each test run, and the computer is so tied up all I can do is surf the Web. :blank: But I found a nice UberArea light tutorial, so I'm getting SOMETHING useful done!

By Olafs Belly, I'm bored! :blank:

    Best boring poem, ever!

Well, the sun is down now, but it was another nice day, hot...and I mowed the weeds. I got up late and wasted time, so I was racing the clock. The landfill closes the gates at 3:30, and I just made it with 10 minutes to spare. Sometimes they are a little anxious and close a few minutes early. I was sure beat from pushing that thing around in a hurry.

The render is 1/2 way through but the glowing ghost has lightblasted the whole chapel and it looks like a shot from a Spielberg movie!! :ahhh: :ahhh:

When this is done I have to save the scene, omg, I didn't think this was possible with DS. :gulp:

Just needs a ginormous lens flare... :red:

Amazing happy accident! I don't know if the fog will show in this shot, holy mother of carp, it's just.. weird. I bet if I posted this on CGTalk nobody would EVER guess it was Daz Studio.

Can't wait for it to finish.. just wow.. maybe I'm easily impressed. :red: :red:

Ok, more has rendered - the fog isn't blasted out.. it looks like a low lying shadow, at this point. :bug:

I'd guess it has 2-3 hours left to go. I won't know what this looks like until tomorrow. :-S

    Now I really REALLY want a Haswell i7 w/ 32GB RAM :snake:
