Does that mean those that submitted models for the beta test will be getting them soon?
Will this be a NEW plug-in, or an update to the one we already have?
So...?
I'm curious about that as well.
How this work?
I never got the model I uploaded for that beta 3D print either and I also was never contacted since, except in a mass email or two at the when beta volunteers were 1st requested. Not exactly heart broken but well curiosity is what it is.
That's pretty much what I'm thinking. It would be wonderful to get the beta print that was promised, as I had planned to make it a gift for my mom, but I'm mosty curious about where things stand.
Mine was supposed to be a mini for a starfinder campaign. But the campaign's almost over now.
However, they used one of my models that wasn't for the beta (I bought a full-size print) for their testing (It's in one of the pictures), so I'd really appreciate them sending me that one, as the character is still in use.
Are we at the point yet where GamePrint can print in specified scales? I have some Star Trek scale models (DS9 Runabout and TOS shuttle) that need figures and I'd love to print out some 1/72nd scale Daz figures to populate them.
Thank you!
Robert
Which is sooner? GamePrint soon or Daz soon?

Dears - we apologize for the delay in updating you on the status of GamePrint <> Daz integration, we have been working heavily on crafting a solution that will enable the production of high-quality 3D models in full-color printing in addition to our previous (hand-painted versions), the reason behind that is that we wanted access to everyone who would like to own a collectible of his/her creation, we have worked with StarTrek Online game community and managed to make a big success in the outputs and now we are back to our roots with the great Daz community :) the current available sizes are 5,7,9 and 12" on the Daz GamePrint plugin - would love to start working on your models
We are also going to update you on smaller sizes in the coming few weeks
Thanks and God Bless you
Check these out :)
No news about the beta of the mini figures?
That's been almost 2 years now. I didn't receive the beta I submitted either and I don't think they are forthcoming.
We did several tests and we still need some time to make them look good - mostly its in the process
Yes we apologize for taking time in this - we are working heavily to push it forward
More pics :) this is all full color 3D Printing - I will post so handpainted models shortly
It's been almost two years???
Has any Studio user actually had their hands on a finished product?
They haven't even tried selling the mini's yet, as far as I know.
But others have gotten their BIG figures. The hand-painted ones looked utterly fantastic.
I got a couple of the 7" figures, one 'standard', which was pretty darned good, the other was the higher quality (can't recall what is is called0 and that was very, very good.
Hi - we delivered many models on the big sizes
We didnt sell any mini yet
Ah, thanks for the clarifications, everyone. I hadn't seen any before now.
Any word on when the minis will be available? My family plays a lot of Dungeons and Dragons, and I've been designing each person's character in DAZ Studio for them. We'd like to be able to have them as minis, and with just the player characters, we're looking at around 12 for our current campaign, plus another dozen or so for other campaigns for just PCs. Then, of course, there are NPCs, etc. While I have access to a 3D printer, getting the detail of something that small can be daunting.
Were the free beta minis scrapped? I was one of the people who sent in a file that was to be used for the beta tests, and part of the arrangement (as I remember it) was we were meant to get that mini sent to us. There was correspondence at the beginning, but it's been years... it's not as if I've lost money on it or anything, but the lack of communication in terms of results/delays/new plans/etc. does make me wonder if I've fallen through the cracks or that particular beta deal just died and no one sent out notifications. I love what I've seen of the big figures shown here.
What I'm experimenting with for minis now is using their pluggin to get an STL of my model for $2, then going to shapeways and spending about $10-15 to have them print it. However, you also have to run it through another program to cut the file size down, as the STL from Gameprint is bigger than Shapeways accepts.
The first one so far came out well!
Hi Taslaq,
I registered and opened a ticket at mixeddimensions.com but I have recieved no answer to my question. Since Daz is one of your partners, ill ask here in the forums. I purchased an .stl repair three days ago and have not yet recieved it. How long does it typically take for one to recieve .stl repair files? Please note, I purchased the repair before I registerd on the site so unfortunately, I cannot track it.
Looking forward to seeing the file.
Thanks
Generally the stl repair takes less than an hour. I still use it regularly, though now I'm printing the minis on my own printer.
I just leave the tab open until it finishes.
