...here in the States one of the major sports networks actually broadcasts poker tournaments.  Makes golf and darts seem as exciting as Rugby or Aussie football in comparison.

    Try curling!

...actually quite familiar with curling having lived in Northern Wisconsin for many years.  In the last Winter Olympics, the captain of the US men's team (which defeated Sweden in the Gold Medal round) was from my old home state.  The pub I usually frequent even put the match on one of their big screens.

Welcome!  BTW, the DAZ Studio viewport controls can go crazy when using MWB, but it can be fixed with a setting, I think it's "Move mouse relatively".   I have that turned on all the time anyway.

Not sure if the caps lock thing is a bug, you could ask them maybe they'll fix it.

Well I did notice Zbrush wanted to zoom the wrong way sometimes but that in itself not unusual, DS seemed OK, I have it on multiple monitors anyway was on the same PC as keyboard and mouse though Zbrush was on the other one,

this is also dependent I guess on my computers talking to each other which they were, they don't always networking is a bit iffy as one win7 the other win10 and the Win7 one needs me to sign into my homegroup sometimes and depending on what I do uploading downloading installing stuff the connection can break as they are linked through ethernet cables to my modem not straight to each other, they don't let me access all the drives and folders on each other either, is permissions stuff

DS seem to have some rather capricious viewport control code, it's the only one I've had problems with in general, also in other contexts than with MWB.  Poser, Hexagon, Carrara and other 3D programs have always worked fine for me.  I seem to recall though that they updated the DS viewport code recently, so maybe it's been fixed, or at least somewhat.

...in footy, Croatia leads group E in World Cup qualifying after Wales played them to a draw the other Sunday.

I remember watching in 2018 when Croatia took out host country Russia in the quarters on PKs, then odds of favourite, England in the semis to meet France in the final (who unfortunately defeated them 4 - 2).

...yeah, makes the NFL  players look a little wussy (though I wouldn't say that to their faces) with all that "armour" they wear today.  I've watched rugby matches and they can get pretty rough.  Aussie football is another extremely rough and tumble game.

..ooh, I've seen some matches and it can be quite brutal.  Almost as bad as hockey was back in the 50s & 60s when even the goalie didn't have a helmet, mask, or those big poofy pads they have now.

Like boxing, football paradoxically became more dangerous as a direct result of "safety" equipment.

...well pro boxing doesn't use any protective gear like collegiate or olympic boxing does. Same for that MMA stuff which is little more than caged street fighting.  American football became more dangerous just because the size and weight of players increased, particularly during the steroid era. For example, a linebacker or defensive lineman from back the 1960s looks more like a free safety compared to today.  Quarterback Brett Farve was a massive individual built like a present day defensive back.  If you intercepted one of his passes, you hoped he wasn't the one who laid the hit on you.

Crikey even American baseball players are "ripped" compared to a 50 - 60 years ago.  Some is due to conditioning , But for a while it was also the "juice."  Hank Aaron (who I still consider holds the homerun title) was nowhere near as muscular as Barry Bonds was (of course Bonds was a "juicer" while Aaron did it with skill and a lovely swing).

It seems that the cursor bug has got worse in 4.12.  It was rare for me in 4.10, now it happens all the time.

Some stars sought out opportunities to be guest villains.

Another promotional opportunity was appearing in the window cameos when Batman and Robin climbed up buildings.

Lurch starts at the 4 minute mark.

  • Lots of Batman female villains.  Were there any female Dick Tracy villains?

    <Kids under 50: "Dick who?">frown

Answer:  I can find only two on a quick search.  "Breathless Mahoney" and "Mrs. Pruneface".
