The thread is injured...now it's just a matter of time
Welcome to your insignificance
...maybe this might do it?
Damn I wish I had a Threadripper rather than a Threadkiller
But you obviously have a damn good thread killer
...
dear santa, was a good kitteh, wants some yarn for prezzie
Daaaannnngggg....! Now I know why my TARDIS's cloister bells started ringing. Loudly. >>Puts up the shields,,,<<
Judge: "Do you admit to having killed this thread?"
You: "But, but I haven't done anything?"
Judge: "Exactly, you need to do something to keep it alive!"
Aaaaah
That figures...
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career of shirtposting. Skills that make me a nightmare for posters like you. If you leave this thread now now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill your thread.
dooont release the KraKen
Still working on the least neck, back, arm nerves killing configuration for two computers
Have you considered using a KVM switch?
Had never heard of such a thing, Googled and might look into
networking is being painful enough
sometimes it works other times it doesn't
Windows 7 needs the Homegroup sign in Windows 10 does not have homegroups so whether the buggers talk to each other varies, can sometimes see my drives on both and access them othertimes not.
Never mind, wrong thread. Move along, nothing to see here, this thread is dead.
Oh NO it's not
just frustrated
removed video as too off topic even for this thread
I used to use KVMs, but then I discovered Mouse Without Borders which IMO is so much better, free and no extra hardware necessary:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-start/mouse-without-borders-mousewithoutborders/0523308d-3406-4273-b86e-bef28aa6b50d
thanks @Taoz will look at it
later
the only thing is I would need both computers on and don't mostly so the KVM will probably suit me better when I find one, possibly next week catching train to Doctor, Officeworks is across the road
right now getting nowhere with UE4 cloth
4 port kvm switch with hdmi, usb mouse and keyb. the 1 output to a hdmi splitter with 2 signal out, so i can view amazon prime movies on monitor or tv. or both.
needed a signal converter to hook up the playstation2 to the set up. i still use ps2 to play scrabble.
and speakers for the monitor's audio out to hear xbox games when using the monitor and tv is off.
next if i could figure out how to hook up a soundbar to the xbox or tv audio out
My issue with KVMs has been the length of the supplied cables. Some KVMs have permanently attached cables, some of which end up being too short for your room layout. Back in the late '90s I had a KVM like that. I had four big ol' boob tube monitors I had them clustered around me like personal room heaters as I sat in the middle roasting with my one keyboard & mouse because the cables could barely reach the systems farthest away. But I have to admit it was cheaper than one where I had to pay extra for four sets of keyboard/mouse/VGA cables
You don't need to have both on, I have three connected with MWB but only this one on right now, I can run each one separately if I want as they all have (need) a mouse, a keyboard, and a monitor. The point is that whichever one you're using you can control the others from it using its keyboard/mouse, if they're on. This one is my main computer however and always on, so I always use its keyboard/mouse and hide the other keyboards/mice so they don't take up workspace.
A KVM is for sharing one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor between several computers though each computer can have its own monitor(s) if you want. With MWB each computer must have it's own monitor(s), you can share most monitors between two or perhaps more computers but MWB can not do the monitor switching so you have to do that manually, in that case a KVM is better.
...hmm can always start discussing sports. That might kill the thread just out of disinterest in the topic.
Try curling!
Wales made the semi finals of the world cup rugby. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/50096013
why is Broomball called Broomball when they don't use brooms they use sticks?
Two of my favorites in top ten...what does that say about me? (Snooker and Formula 1)
That's a good thread-killing question
