Mmrh... Really debating shelling out some cash for Nintendo's 'Wii U' (Wee You? What? I'll never be able to take that name seriously) because I reaally wanna play Super Smash Brothers again. Oh and because a HD remake of one of my favorite games is being released on it (Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker :3 )

But... I don't exactly adjust to change easily and those controllers look so different @____@

Doesn't seem to be all too expensive so...
... Well I did hear that gamecube games won't work with it (Unlike the previous console) which if true is a bit of a disapointment D:

Also a complaint: I spilled some fruit juice on my keyboard a night ago and now the delete key is all sticky and awkward to use :B

*edit* Looks like Super Smash Brothers Melee will be available online for the Wee You console, dunno how that'll work but it's listed as compatible with it's built-in Virtual Console (Which probably means I'll need an interwebz connection e3e Never got a console other than the xbox360 to hook up to the internet before...)

Wii U backwards compatibility supports many older Nintendo game systems and consoles through Virtual Console. The Wii U will be backwards compatible with Wii game discs, and will support other systems through game downloads. Via the new Nintendo Network, users will be able to download Nintendo 64, GameCube, NES, and SNES games to the Wii U. These games, saved to the Wii U’s internal storage drive, will be playable on the Wii U controller, or a regular Wiimote controller. The games will be sold on the new Wii U eShop channel.

I liked Snoopy so much when I was a kid that I actually got a beagle and named him...you guessed it! Bob!
    No, Snoopy of course. :)
When Schulz would show Snoopy running in circles and doing a "happy dance", he wasn't kidding. Beagles really do that (well, mine did).

No, my Snoopy's taste in art ran more toward C. M. Coolidge. :)

but it is a bit confusing, cos she says "These grass props don't use transparency, they are fully modeled" and then in the "what's included" bit it says it has 22 Texture, Bump, Displacement and Transparency Maps (2000 x 2000)

    I am officially confuzzled.

I haven't had time tio load it, but looking at the installed files the transmaps are for the ground plane not for the actual grass blades.

It renders real quick, if that helps :)

    Complaint:
It was a rainy Wednesday morning as Tjohn drove to his Foot & Ankle Specialist, Dr. Killjoy. He had been looking forward to this day for the past week, for this was the day he would exchange his left leg for a white chunk of rock: a cast that would hopefully allow his stupid diabetic foot wound to heal (after months of treatment had not solved the problem).
"How bad could it be," Tjohn thought, "I've had a cast on my leg before, and that wasn't so bad...besides, this one only has to be worn for a week."
Of course Tjohn was living in his usual Fool's Paradise. The first cast was when he was seventeen. He was now sixty, and it would be very different this time.
After he left the doctor's office proudly sporting his brand-new white chunk of rock, Tjohn hobbled along with his cane, dragging what he thought must be very like wearing a standard issue 1940's ball-and-chain, cursing under his breath.
The rest of his morning was spent doing many errands, always cursing as he went (not always under his breath).
The brightest spot in his day? Realizing that at least it was his left foot, so he could still drive himself around.
    THE END?

I hope it's really just for a week, like he thought.

    Dana

Ball and chain for a week iz no fun tho *empathises*

I have finally received a job offer. I rejoin the salt mi... er Labor Force next Tuesday..

(10 1/2 months unemployed has been hard on the bank account)

Quick, let KK rub your head for good luck. :)
Hope that works out and that KK gets an offer soon, too. (no truck-driving, though).
    Maybe something in ranching. :)

I've seen cattle ranches, horse ranches, sheep ranches, llama/Alpaca ranches even an ostrich ranch once but I've never seen a Sand, Gravel, Stone ranch.

Sounds like my kind of ranching though, no feeding at dawn or herding them about. :)

I'm still on M4. and using Tyler.

I would use D3 and Simon more if i had really nice expression packs for them.
When i put D3 next to M4 in a scene, he kinda looks like a mime. hmmm, a mime for D3 would be kewl.

maybe if you merged the face and torso uv zones?

might have zone cross-talking though. i made v4's hip a separate zone, and then other vicki's i loaded copied the hip.

...actually, when the forums let you list location under your icon, I had "On the Double K Ranch a half day's ride from Phlogiston Flats" (also used that on the Shadowrun forums as it was a bit of an in-joke there)

There's also a major street in my old hometown that is nicknamed KK Ave. (short for an old native word "Kinnikinnic" which is a mixture of tobacco and other herbal substances [usually inner bark shavings of dogwood or red willow,] which was smoked during ceremonies, to seal treaties, and end disagreements between individuals).

The boulder round-ups are murder on the rockboys, hard to drive them to market unless it's downhill all the way. :)
