    This can help?

It can ... is Finn really 'Genesis'?

    Yes, is Genesis.

Keeping in mind that i have no idea who 'Finn' is ... and that one models clothing to Genesis base and hopefully it'll morph to look correct on "however you have Finn morphed to" ... is something like this on the right track? is the hood to appear to be joined to anything?

If you want to know who Finn is, take a look here.

Thanks. okay it's on the right track ... can see where this is heading ;-)

Looking for a sailboat like this.
Needs to be good for commercial use and to be used in DS. I found one in the DAZ Store but it's for Vue.

If someone knows where I could buy a quality model I'm interested in that too, I just didn't have any luck at the four usual sites I go to.

It's not exactly what you are looking for ... but:

Okay ... now I also have on my draft board something for the box top BUT there would have to be some post work about the arms 'cause Genesis is not a box.

Will send you a PM when finished posting this. A prop and clothing item of the same thing to test. Feel free to further morph or whatever you want to do with it ;-)

Hi -- Can anyone point me to a generic shop or boutique or store set? I've got the folded clothes and mannequins; I can procure some wig stands, cash registers and stuff, but I'm particularly looking for plate glass windows so that I can make cool displays and my characters can window shop. A counter and some changing rooms wouldn't be bad either. Something like Richabri's Retro Retail Shop or 3-d-c's Boutique/Shop modular set, both on Rendo, would be great. Heck, I'll even settle for the exterior [big windows and an entry door], as I can kitbash the rest. Thank you.

Hey, thanks for your reply! I have plenty of sunglasses, it's the cases to keep them in that I was wondering were available anywhere. And yeah dustpans are impossible to find but brooms are abundant, that's strange lol. The site 3dcadbrowser said I would have to sign up for a paid membership to download that particular item. Thanks for your help

404nicg -- thank you for pointing me to darthj's portfolio. I can definitely use the 1950s shop interior. In case other people are looking for shops, boutiques, stores and similar, darthj also has a small shop exterior [door, plate glass window, brick building] here: Shop Front.

If you're looking for a shopping complex or indoor mall, darthj also has one here: Large Shopping Mall. It doesn't appear to be modular, but I can make it work for my purposes.

I hope these links can help other people!

    More Male Armor,

I spent a lot of time last week trying to find Historical/Fantasy armor for a Male toon, be it V4M, or Genesis; and believe me there just ain't much; especially if someone is looking for Bandit/Mob Armors and not full plate; the Metal Bikini count seems to be 10:1 as a guess over armor for a male Character. (Not that I always Mind).

I did ultimately purchase the Desert Paladin mostly for the breast plate, but I would say to the artist community, more Fits for Male toons would fill a real gap.

    A Lyre,
The ancient hand held "Harp", I would very much like to find one for a Character whose story I am working on, and I don't really want to go with something more anachronistic to her story. : ) Anyhow seems to me to be a pretty limited range of musical instrument props out there. Understandably but limited.

The only one I've found so far is a "Victorian" Lyre

    Greco-Roman, or Medaeval Celtic style?

There's a Celtic lap harp available at http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/FreeStuff/FreeModels/FModelPages/PoserHarp.html It's in OBJ format, but Daz Studio, Blender, and Poser have no trouble importing OBJ files.

To be very accurate they are both celtic lyres or harps and both are in the time frame of the Middle Ages 500AD to 1500AD.
Eustace's example is based upon a lyre from the 6th or 7th century found at the Sutton Hoo site in England. The site and the history of the lyre.
Rob's example, the Irish harp or cláirseach can be dated back to at least the crusades which were between the 11th and 13th centuries (at least in my limited search). This version has many references to it on into the 16th century. I found this article to be very fascinating because of the reference to using gold strings on the harp to give the music "a rich voice".

So here is another harp in poser format by Contajen NeilP and Xantor. Look for Musical Instruments.

I was going to link to that one as well. Trouble is it was so long ago that we did that project that I can't remember what the musical instruments are like. That was the last project 3DSC did before we broke up.

A very nice project it is. Lots of very good stuff. http://jalberts.net/francemi/3dSC/index.htm. In the musical instrument package there are six instruments. 2 types of rebecs, a harp, a lyre, a cornamuse and crumbhorn. Below is a thumb of what is in the package, if any one wants it .

You can even get Sara from here.

Speaking of instruments, I´m looking for War Drums something like the Orcs have in this game: http://www.spellforce.com/?rid=959&lang=en

Anyone knows if there is something like this out there? Or a similar Horn as what the Hornblowers carry around would also be interesting for me.

As long as we're asking for musical instruments, I suddenly have a need for a Gittler guitar ... and a spiked short hairdo for V4. Anybody know of either or both?

No...just no. That is NOT a guitar, it's some sort of 'modern art' masquerading as a musical instrument. It looks like a reject from a plumber's scrap pile.
