...as a good portion of my story take place in the UK, British versions of uniforms would fit very well.

If I made a Fireman or Policeman uniform it would be British, not American, sorry. There is too much out there now that is American and those of us in Britain don't see much for our services. Same goes for Army and Navy Uniforms. I would make British ones only I'm afraid.
Whe I said could be converted to G2M, I meant I could rerig them to the base when he is out.

I would really love to see some British military and public service uniforms

Here, here! Practically begging for British stuff, especially uniforms. Cannot have Inspector Lestrade's minions going about dressed like American coppers, it simply wouldn't do. And Watson will have a bloody fit if I try kitting him out in the wrong uniform, unless it's for a case. Then he'll grumble and glare and tell Sherlock no nookie for a week, the mood is gone due to the indignity of impersonating one of those crazy Yank commandos and ...

No, it really will not do. More British, please.

Poserworld has one for M4 but not sure how well it converts to Genesis, haven't tried yet.

I said IF i was making any uniforms.

I am not going to make uniforrms of any sort, because if I did I would get other people asking for one for their particular country and I would have to say no sorry. So I won't be making uniforms of any kind.

...aww bugger. Seems nobody else has good British civil and military uniforms (not even Turbosquid, nothing for police [save for a Bobby's helmet at 40$] and the few contemporary military ones they have are part of a complete figure kit).

The only one here at Daz is a Palace Guard for M5.

Wish I had 1,500$ for Modo.

Aside from using the word "gay" in a pejorative sense, I understand what you are saying.

Stereotypical maybe, not pejorative. Anyway, I am a country bluecollar guy, we don't wear skintight or skimpy clothes lol. Not males or females really.

Yeah, a huge chunk of woman's clothes are skimpy crap I don't buy either, but there is a plethora of clothes that are normal looking clothes. Not so in the male category :(

Hey, I'm gay and I don't dress in super tight clothing either. Jeans, T's, untucked shirts, steel toed boots. I do like my watch, choker necklace and a ring or two but other than that..... I dress "str8" lol

If I go to a gay sort of event up in San Francisco that calls for tight or out of the ordinary I have that stuff but I don't wear it often enough to call it part of my every day wardrobe.

I do like one of the other posts here asking for mens accessories and a cool bomber jacket BUT love to see different pocket and lapel options for it to give it different period looks. An option for a snap waist or a buckled waist too. Open and close morphs and a "throw it on a chair, drape it on a chair or throw it on the floor morphs too!

There is an entire Napoleonic era set of uniforms for M4 over at Rendo by Renapd. Her Napoleon for M1/2 is still available as well.

Yes Rena's Napoleonic M4 sets are great - she and THIP did some wonderful things together for the bygone PoserStyle. Jon Malis did some great textures for the "Crusades" based on a mesh called Immortals I think - That is not much progress in more than 10 years for the men. I hardly see any real support for Genesis (males) let alone the new G2M.

Luthbel's Corsair comes close, but I doubt it's any specific period or service.

In general, Luthbel has some good stuff.

Here goes with my two cents. I don't do fantasy, I do more realistic real life stuff. Renders that represent now, not the past or future etc. Maybe I will catch some flack here.... Most of the little bit of clothes available for men I see on the market, looks gay. No dudes I know run around in skintight clothes..... Need more stuff that the average guy wears. Know what I mean? Sorry, if it was mentioned, didn't read the whole thread before responding.

Aside from using the word "gay" in a pejorative sense, I understand what you are saying. It is similar for the females, however, that there is an abundance of slut-wear. I think that is just the nature of this community, so I don't expect the poser marketplace to reflect reality it its full variety. I do, however expect to see male items which look appropriate for the environment sets that are best-sellers such as Stonemason's. I am really glad to see that he is coming out with his own line of clothing.

As for sales figures, I still believe that poor sales of male items does not necessarily suggest that "people don't want male items" so much as it suggests that they don't want those particular items that are being offered. Listening to the voices of people who actually BUY this stuff might alter that statistic.

In all my settings-modern, retro, scifi/fantasy

I buy lots of clothes for my girls that help them look FEMININE and sexy. I find it hard to find clothes for my guys that help them look MASCULINE and sexy.

This is what a search of the store turns up for M5 Clothing and Accessories - 9 items. The same search for M4 returns 365 items. I think that says it all for the support for - I'm not gonna comment on how many are "butch" but clearly M4 had a lot more choices than M5 so what can we expect for M6?

To be fair, there are a respectable number of "Genesis Male" items that won't come up in a search specifically for M5.

Still, according to the merchants who champion the gender split, it should make things "easier" for gender specific clothing, so we should get more stuff for guys this time around... I'll believe it when I see it.

Well, the thing with the unisex G1 was that all outfits save for the really female ones were for the guys, as well as for the girls.

Now I hardly believe a G2 girls jumpsuite like this http://www.daz3d.com/clothing-accessories/xeon-suit would fit as well upon M6. However theoretically it would. I tried it upon a G2 general character which I 'masculinizised' a bit and it looked fairly OK, save for some stretching in places.

But perhaps there'll be a transgender autofit plugin in the pipe at some time. Problem is that we don't know. I just wish we could have some kind pre-info about M6 and what to expect.

I'm remaining hopeful that there will be some pathway between G2F and G2M as well as G2M to Genesis - I have heard that there will be a Genesis clone for G2M so that will help get things started. Even with the best conversion tools, though, it is still not as good as clothing designed for the figure, its JPs and its morphs.
